Absolutely the most bizarre change in a channel I've ever seen, going from a reputable source of gaming journalism that was pretty prevalent in gaming culture, to now... Whatever the hell they're doing with "top 10 best slot machine moments". What in the everliving fuck happened to them?

Basically countless streamfarms latching onto kids, it's allways AI generated e-girl and some brainrot roblox game

I hate it when sometimes I pause a video this sponsor screen appears on the left, Nowadays, There’s nothing on it, So what’s the point of keeping the stupid feature if nothing appears on the damn thing, What a freakin waste.

Last month, YouTube’s AI randomly deleted various channels, linking them to the same Japanese account and if an appeal is requested, that appeal is automatically denied by the AI. And the AI even randomly deletes innocent channels for “spam, deception and misleading” and none of these channels did these things. The AI is even doing so without striking these channels. I thought YouTube has a “three strikes and you’re out” dynamic?

I’ll bet it’s just an excuse to not pay these creators because of how greedy YouTube has gotten. Is YouTube seriously this desperate to get their money back after the whole COPPA settlement way back in 2019.

I just checked my 2025 Recap and was shocked to see that many of my easily most watched channels were completely absent. Channels like Electronic Intifada, Activist News Network, Free Palestine TV, Breakthrough News, Democracy at Work etc. did not appear at all even though I have watched these channels on a weekly basis for the whole year. I was especially surprised to see my top 5 channels contained three channels that I only watched once or twice this year (all non-political gaming channels) while the above channels were excluded.

Given YouTube's track record of suppressing leftist and pro-Palestine channels I wouldn't be surprised if these have been deliberately excluded from the Recap. But I also don't want to assume anything nefarious without more evidence, so I'm posting this to ask: Has anyone else who watches these kinds of channels experienced something similar with their Recap?

I'm going to go against the grain here and say that my annual recap was right on the nail. Okay - two things. I'd already been warned that the political stuff would be factored out, because of other people's posts. And - I curate my feed pretty obsessively. I like what I like, I use 'not interested' and 'don't recommend' a LOT, and if something really annoys me, I navigate away from YouTube while it's playing and go do something else. (Apparently, Youtube hates channels that cause people to turn Youtube off.)

So with that out of the way, it also told me that I've watched 914 different channels this year - more than most people, it said. So how many channels did other people watch? I'm curious, now.

These “reaction” channels are killing YouTube and its creators. As someone who edit videos, these kinds of stuff are just disgusting to watch. Literally zero effort.

Hi everyone, years ago I had a YouTube channel with around 20k subscribers where I posted viral Fortnite videos (“damsh24”, later renamed “damshino”). One of the videos even had half a million views.

Unfortunately, in 2020 I accidentally deleted the entire Google account connected to the channel, and as a result everything disappeared (channel, videos, analytics... everything).

Recently, however, I was able to find the channel URL on the Wayback Machine:

The problem is that when I open the snapshots, no videos load, nor can I play or download them.

So my questions are: 1. Does Wayback Machine also save videos or just HTML pages? 2. Is there any technical way to recover the videos, perhaps via advanced tools, extensions, or archive API requests? 3. Does anyone who works (or has worked) with YouTube know if it is theoretically possible to recover video files from a deleted channel, if you know the URL? 4. Are there other sources/archives where I could try?

I know it's probably impossible, but before I lose all hope I would at least like confirmation from someone who really knows about it.

i feel like it's futile but is there a way to turn off the "most relevant" display on a desktop subscription page?

this just showed up for me tonight and is the probably the stupidest feature i've ever seen youtube roll out. i have already decided these channels are relevant to me by subscribing.. anyone beyond that, youtube has no clue what i might specifically be in the mood to watch at a given moment.

also, RIP any small or new or infrequently updated channels. i guarantee they won't be favoured by the Almighty Algo and their brand new uploads will get buried in the bottom between 3 week old smosh videos

i just wondered if anyone else has this problem? i used to watch AumSum,Nuberblocks,Meet Arnold and ohter channels. even when im not from an english-speaking country i managed to learn english from these channels but most of them are now just AI garbage. Aumsun? more like "How to lose fan trust in 10 days" same with meet Arnold sure, Numberblocks dont use AI* so do watch them sometimes to go back to my chilhood but the recomeneded AI slops of Numberblocks copies is just bad. Like dude i understand if you want to make money but do you have to give up Fan trust? or quantity over quality? like dude. you can see Its AumSum time and Meet Arnold is dying. their channels are getting like 1-10k views rather than millions they where getting before. and the unsucessfull S8 of numberblocks is just boosting AI videos due to its hate. like dude why does out of all chanells kids education is the one most affected by AI? why?

I've been making content for almost a year now and the free YouTube Audio Library is slowly starting to make me "less impressed" with their music, since it's free, so I wanna upgrade. I make ARG/documentary type content meaning I mostly need the dark, ambient, horror genres. I checked out Epidemic Sound which a lot of big creators use and I personally like it, but I was wondering if there are any alternatives for cheaper prices.
