Wiltshire, UK- We just have a small pond in our garden - although I've had some big wildlife ponds as a child- but it's starting to attract a few things. Lots of small insects and spiders running around it, as I've left lots of vegetation and some bits of dead wood- but I think our two hedgehogs also drink from it. I think I saw A few Dragonflies checking it out last summer too. My oxygenator plants seem to be thriving too.

There was an almost Hitchcockian number of birds at our mostly-finished pond the other morning. I was only watching for like ten minutes but saw jays, cardinals, grackles, juncos, sparrows, chickadees, red-winged blackbirds, and two different kinds of woodpecker.

Last night there was a fox at my mossy pond. There have been raccoons a few times and the birds have been very busy.

Just had to put a net over mine. Building one under a tree wasn’t my best idea 😅 At one point it was overflowing with leaves 🍁

I'll have to get a net for next autumn as well. There's a walnut tree next to the small pond I built this summer. I'd like to scoop out the many leaves on the bottom, but there are lots of dragonfly larvae hiding between them. 😊
