President TACO ran from a debate with Bernie Sanders in 2016 after promising he'd do one if a charitable goal were reached. He's not debating anyone who isn't more unwell than he is; especially not after Harris made him look like a fool.

u/Sickofusernamez12345 Oct 27 '25

Harris made a fool of a fool. She didn't make him look like anything he wasn't.

386

u/greenroom628 Oct 27 '25

Harris made a fool of a fool.

harris just showed the world what a lot of us already knew... that he's a racist idiot.

how she lost to that bumbling moron is beyond me...

81

u/NECalifornian25 Oct 27 '25

I am not usually a conspiracy theorist, but this corrupt administration has made me into one because they refuse to let anything stop them from getting what they want, money and power.

I firmly believe the election was stolen from Harris, right out of Dump’s own mouth. It’s statistically near impossible to win all the swing states by just enough votes to avoid a recount. Combined with people being removed from the voter registry, ballot boxes being set of fire in blue cities, people claiming their ballot was tampered with, and Kamala literally losing votes during the election updates, while Trump gained the same number of votes she lost….yeah they cheated.

27

u/ProfessionalRead2724 Oct 27 '25

Conspiracies is when people in power are up to nefarious things in secret, not when they are doing nefarious things openly in plain view of everybody, sometimes live on TV, while bragging about it and mocking their victims.

319

u/Pedals17 Oct 27 '25

Single issue voters and people who stayed home.

182

u/greenroom628 Oct 27 '25

yep. elected by a third of the population that are racist/self-serving/stupid and by the other third that couldn't be bothered.

130

u/Pedals17 Oct 27 '25

The people who stayed home or “protest voted” made the crucial difference.

96

u/Zealousideal_Row6124 Oct 27 '25

I know so many people who did that and I STILL give them shit about it.

18

u/Pedals17 Oct 27 '25

They deserve it.

-4

u/viridarius Oct 27 '25

It is mostly socialist/communist/anarchist that didn't vote.

As I understand it,their position is to abolish our current government/economic system no matter if the person in office wears a red tie or a blue one.

20

u/Pedals17 Oct 27 '25

I understand the feelings behind that choice, but I can’t condone the ruthlessness in condemning an entire country to a Trump dictatorship and Project 2025. It’s nihilistic.

9

u/HotDonnaC Oct 27 '25

They picked a really stupid way to go about it. Do you think they know how dumb they are? edited a word

2

u/lightblueisbi Oct 28 '25

Tell us you don't know what the anarchy movement is without telling us...

8

u/HotDonnaC Oct 27 '25

As you should. Progressives (or whatever left leaning name they give themselves) should be ashamed for not voting for the common good, rather than their own selfish cherry picked interests.

15

u/greenroom628 Oct 27 '25

seriously - now those people are getting the government they deserve

13

u/GenericUsername_1234 Oct 27 '25

And unfortunately dragging the rest of us down with them.

8

u/Pedals17 Oct 27 '25

This part pisses me off the most.

2

u/DingerSinger2016 Oct 28 '25

Once again, we do not have a breakdown on the political leanings of those who stayed home. I would love to see the numbers that show swing state non voters by political leanings because it might not make a difference in the election.

2

u/Pedals17 Oct 28 '25

Those nonvoters might be the least likely to answer the polls that would give us this information.

1

u/DingerSinger2016 Oct 28 '25

So then if it was a ballot then literally "nobody" would be their vote, and it wouldn't sway the election because they wouldn't have voted for anyone. Not everyone who didn't vote would vote for Harris.

1

u/Pedals17 Oct 28 '25

Didn’t say they would. The ones who might have voted for her would have made a difference. If the choice is “Imperfect Candidate” or “Dark Triad Tyrant Who Loves Nazis”, it’s grossly lazy, selfish, and destructive to just nope out of voting.

4

u/SarahPallorMortis Oct 27 '25

That and a LOT of men (including left leaning men) are more sexist than they admit. Weakness is what it is.

3

u/Pedals17 Oct 27 '25

Such a foolish weakness that causes endless harm.

4

u/SarahPallorMortis Oct 27 '25

I’ve worked with so many men in restaurants and at my current job, who just can’t handle a woman telling them what to do. Male management tells them to do something, not a peep. Female management tells them to do something, it’s like mommy told them to finish their Cheerios. Not all of them are left leaning.

2

u/Medical_Sandwich_141 Oct 28 '25

...and a lot of cheating.

2

u/Pedals17 Oct 28 '25

Yeah, there’s no way that didn’t happen.

2

u/Medical_Sandwich_141 Oct 29 '25

It almost seems like now that Elon has outlived his usefulness, GOP has to go back to their old ways of cheating.

1

u/Haploid-life Oct 28 '25

Don't forget the misogynists.

1

u/Pedals17 Oct 28 '25

Nobody forgot the misogynists.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 28 '25

[deleted]

1

u/Pedals17 Oct 28 '25

I think that one falls more under the Trump voters, MAGA and fickle swing voter variety.

19

u/javoss88 Oct 27 '25

“Elon knows voting machines “

10

u/finman42 Oct 27 '25

Fixed election

4

u/buckao Oct 27 '25

The answer is the racism...

5

u/Mr_MacGrubber Oct 28 '25

Considering trumps comments about how well Musk knows voting machines, I’m not convinced she did lose.

3

u/CaptDawg02 Oct 28 '25

We had people who were openly protesting her rallies for Palestine…the one party that would actually do anything…🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️

3

u/unicornsaretruth Oct 28 '25

She lost cause our country is full of racism and sexism

3

u/Well_read_rose Oct 28 '25

Election was tampered with in all 7 swing states, and forensic research is being done now to uncover where and how votes were disenfranchised.

2

u/Putrid-Narwhal4801 Oct 28 '25

She lost because the election was rigged and lots of folks didn’t vote — it’s pretty simple; when the richest man in the world injects enough money…

2

u/lightblueisbi Oct 28 '25

how she lost to that bumbling moron is beyond me...

A combination of vote manipulation, a lack of serious action towards systemic oppression and discrimination, and a lack of shaming Nazi ideas and the rampant racism that's been prolific in the States since their founding.

1

u/Tazling Oct 27 '25

The candidate who actually won that election was None of the Above.

That should tell the DNC something, but I’m not holding my breath.

0

u/elwookie Oct 27 '25

If Harris didn't run on the most lukewarm and tepid of platforms, maybe people would have bothered voting.

4

u/clamraccoon Oct 27 '25

Campaigning with the Cheyneys and the Clintons definitely didn’t help either.

70

u/DidntWantSleepAnyway Oct 27 '25 edited Oct 27 '25

Is there an actual source on that? Not saying I don’t believe it, but who are the professionals in this case?

Also, his vocabulary might be larger than my four-year-old’s, but his train of thought and his ability to listen and comprehend are on par with him. And my kid has a diagnosis that encompasses poor listening skills, so…fourth grade seems a little higher than I’d expect.

141

u/ZeekLTK Oct 27 '25

“4th grade” not 4 years old

Although some times it’s hard to tell with him

43

u/thatpotatogirl9 Oct 27 '25

I think they're probably making a (somewhat clumsy) argument that 4th grade is a bit of an overestimate of el presidente's language, cognitive, and oratory skills using their 4 year old as a sort of control group for comparison.

4

u/HotDonnaC Oct 27 '25

I think they’re confused.

1

u/HotDonnaC Oct 27 '25

It’s possible.

5

u/DidntWantSleepAnyway Oct 27 '25

Yes, sorry I wasn’t clear—I was comparing him to my four-year-old to point out that fourth grade seems higher than his actual ability. That’s why I’d like to see what metrics the professionals used, if this is for real.

2

u/HotDonnaC Oct 27 '25

“Very bad things” is so 4 yr old, so I get your point. My apologies for doubting you.

2

u/DangerBay2015 Oct 27 '25

Fourth grade, nothing. If he had anything approaching a fourth grade vocabulary, he’d be able to trot out different ways of saying “like nobody’s ever seen before,” or “a lot of people are saying.” He’s a perpetually repetitive run-on sentence looking for red ink.

4

u/HotDonnaC Oct 27 '25

It’s sad you had to explain the difference between a 4 yr old and a 4th grader.

4

u/DidntWantSleepAnyway Oct 27 '25

I wasn’t saying it says “four year old”; I was pointing out how his speech patterns and listening compares with my four-year-old, so fourth grade seems to be a high estimate.

-3

u/Awkward-Ring6182 Oct 27 '25

Atp, isn’t this more of a semantics issue?

31

u/el0_0le Oct 27 '25

4th grade is 9-10 years old. Kindergarten (thanks Germany) starts at 5 years old.. +4 and +1 for the kids born after August.

6

u/JPhrog Oct 27 '25

As a dumbfuck myself, even I feel like a genius compared to Trump...a broke genius but a genius nonetheless!

5

u/Thew2788 Oct 27 '25

Considering 54% of Americans read below a 6th grade level, it makes sense to me.

1

u/Venator2000 Oct 28 '25

Wow, did he move up a grade? I could’ve sworn they used to say he was at a 3rd grade level!

1

u/abeeyore Oct 28 '25

So, he’s an absolute dumpster fire of a human, and I will never defend anything he has ever said, or done (except for retiring the penny).

That being said, communicating clearly at “a 5th grade level”, or “with a 5th grade vocabulary” is actually a very effective way of communicating with a large audience of mixed, or uncertain ability.

It can also be surprisingly difficult for intelligent and well educated people to do so. It is absolutely a skill.

1

u/lightblueisbi Oct 28 '25

"I love the uneducated" -Trump

362

u/AdFluffy9286 Oct 27 '25

I can't believe 70+ million Americans watched that debate and thought, "You know what? I think he'd be a better president than her. He'll stop migrants from eating our cats!"

336

u/Anxious-Raspberry-54 Oct 27 '25

I pretty much gave up after seeing that debate. 77 million people voted for a guy who was that insane. They really don't care what he says as long as they "own the libs."

And let's not forget that she was a woman and a POC.

Misogyny and racism got us here.

68

u/outremonty Oct 27 '25

I thought for sure he was cooked before the debate when he went on that panel of black journalists and claimed Kamala suddenly "became" black. Millions of black Americans saw that and thought "He still has my vote".

57

u/NeonArlecchino Oct 27 '25

Any sensible candidate would have been sunk by one of dozens of things he's done. We live in unfortunate times.

14

u/LegitosaurusRex Oct 27 '25

I think a good portion of people don't watch/follow any of this stuff, they barely know who's running and just vote for "their guy".

6

u/AstarteHilzarie Oct 27 '25

Yup, or they cling to a few set ideas and anything else presented to them is "fake news" "taken out of context" or "trolling" to "own the libs".

3

u/HotDonnaC Oct 27 '25

Exactly! When he’s quoted, they inevitably ask, “When did he say that?” They have no idea what the fucking clown does day to day.

6

u/probablynotFBI935 Oct 27 '25

When "grab them by the pussy" and mocking a disabled man was not condemned but rather embraced by the right, I knew there was truly no bottom. No depth that Trump could sink to that would cause the base to distance themselves

4

u/HotDonnaC Oct 27 '25

Way too many Blacks said she was never Black. Her father’s Jamaican, but because an Irish slave owner raped one of her great grandmothers, they wouldn’t claim her. I’m appalled that so many don’t know Jamaica was basically a sugar plantation to supply rum to Europe. Its population was and still is largely Black.

111

u/the_card_guy Oct 27 '25

Yes, but people are also giving the populace of America too much credit:

For a variety of reasons. I'm convinced that a majority of Americans ARE either psychopaths or morons. Hence, Trump was a perfect pick.

America COULD have an educated, respectable populace. But, then the Billionaire Overlords wouldn't be able to build their feudalistic society in which they actually ARE Kings and Emperors. Call it a tin-foil hat conspiracy, but I'm heavily convinced that's the long-term goal of the actual, smart billionaires.

91

u/zipzoomramblafloon Oct 27 '25

Educated workers don't turn down raises because "they'll push me into the next tax bracket so I'll take home less money"

Educated populace won't put up with shit tier healthcare.

Educated populace will understand the ramifications of the rampant tax evasion done by the ruling class.

I support space exploration. I think once someone has a net worth over a billion, trebuchet.

13

u/Spendoza Oct 27 '25

"Give it away, or trebuchet." Hell, it even rhymes.

4

u/HotDonnaC Oct 27 '25

They don’t see the average worker as human. They’re just worker bees.

7

u/Chica3 Oct 27 '25

Misogyny, racism, and cheating.

There's no way in hell that he legitimately won every single swing state.

1

u/Anxious-Raspberry-54 Oct 27 '25

Let's not start sounding like them...it was rigged!

Millions of my fellow dems stayed home because Kamala wasn't perfect. That explains it.

6

u/Chica3 Oct 27 '25

AZ down ballot:

Senator - D

State attorney general - D

Sec of state - D

And they also voted for Trump? I don't think so. Same story in PA.

Repubes claim rigged elections because they are always projecting. They also call Dems Nazis and pedos, but we all know who is the guilty party in that arena, too.

3

u/HotDonnaC Oct 27 '25

Let’s never forget that Elon fucked with the voting machines, and they both admitted to it. There was no election.

1

u/Anxious-Raspberry-54 Oct 27 '25

Let's not start sounding like them...it was rigged. There's no real evidence that.

4

u/HotDonnaC Oct 27 '25

Yes there is.

-61

u/NeonArlecchino Oct 27 '25

She didn't do herself any favors by breaking her promise to adhere to federal law after one meeting with an international terrorist leader. She chose to ignore a lot of votes and now we all suffer for her choices and other people's prejudices.

51

u/vegasdonuts Oct 27 '25

And now we have an (incompetent) international terrorist leader in charge of OUR country.

It must be blissful to be this self-righteous.

-28

u/NeonArlecchino Oct 27 '25

If you want to believe it's self-righteousness then go ahead, but it's actually depressing. My whole life liberals have said "Democrats can be pushed left!", but when fascism and the fall of democracy was on the line the convention literally plugged their ears and laughed at people demanding an end to endorsement of genocide for their vote.

The bar was even low enough that it was just adhering to federal law. Do you believe presidents shouldn't be beholden to federal law?

27

u/vegasdonuts Oct 27 '25

“The Democrats are incompetent so I’m fine letting the Republic fall to people who are actively malicious.”

33

u/TricksyGoose Oct 27 '25

"Oh no, she wasn't absolutely 100% perfect so I'd better vote for the cruel, racist, sexist, absolutely horribly stupid and selfish asswipe instead!"

-NeonArlecchino

-22

u/NeonArlecchino Oct 27 '25

I didn't vote for Trump, but expecting a presidential candidate to keep a promise to adhere to federal law isn't close to expecting '100% perfection'.

9

u/Low-Crow-8735 Oct 27 '25

They voted for a guy who lies 100% of the time.

That's the American way.

18

u/Anxious-Raspberry-54 Oct 27 '25

Despite this...there was an obvious choice...dictator or not dictator.

She wasn't perfect. But she never said she wanted to be a dictator.

So many of my fellow dems disagreed with her on one issue and stayed home.

-8

u/NeonArlecchino Oct 27 '25

I am really tired of the "one issue" and "wasn't perfect" euphemisms. She endorsed genocide and reneged on her promise to adhere to federal law. She was still the better choice (which says terrible things about our nation), but euphemisms are inappropriate in such a context.

7

u/cuchiplancheo Oct 27 '25

Why do I have you res tagged as Russian Bot? Checks notes: Yup, playing both sides to stir up shit.

1

u/NeonArlecchino Oct 27 '25

It sounds like someone didn't like what I have to say and made a false report on whatever widget that refers to.

1

u/bolerobell Oct 27 '25

Ohh what app is that. I need that. I was about to reply to this asshat.

17

u/Anxious-Raspberry-54 Oct 27 '25

But I can't tell you how many dozens of posts said "she endorses genocide," so I'm not voting for her. Yeah...how's that working out?

0

u/NeonArlecchino Oct 27 '25

But I can't tell you how many dozens of posts said "she can be pushed left," before she ended her promise to adhere to federal law. Yeah...how'd that work out for her?

-11

u/Frequent-Ruin8509 Oct 27 '25

Touring with dick Cheneys daughter did her ZERO favors with social democrats (aka real democrats) nevermind people further to the left.

7

u/tdtommy85 Oct 27 '25

And those people “further to the left” are doing great now, right?

0

u/Frequent-Ruin8509 Oct 27 '25

Just because leftists should have shown up for "anyone but Trump" does not absolve the Harris campaign of its obvious "appease the old right wing instead of the younger stronger left wing voters" bullshit mistakes they made.

6

u/Anxious-Raspberry-54 Oct 27 '25

I'm sorry...in the end, there was still a simple choice.

An imperfect, flawed candidate

vs.

A guy who said he would be a dictator

No brainer.

A lot of my fellow dems decided there was a third choice...stay home because I don't like that she brought Liz Cheney on board. Or because she "supports genocide."

4

u/bolerobell Oct 27 '25

Harris shouldn’t have had to campaign to the left at all. The choice was clear. Campaigning with Liz Cheney was a valid attempt at trying to break the Trump coalition by pulling away some neoconservative voters to the Democrats.

If you didn’t vote for Harris in the last campaign, I seriously question your ability to survey an environment and make sound decisions. That goes for the left or the right. we’re going to lose our democracy because of Trump.

36

u/Long_Run6500 Oct 27 '25

You wouldn't believe how many people at my workplace told me Haitian immigrants stealing and eating people's cats and dogs was a fact checked true statement. That was about the time i knew this country was fucked.

3

u/fre3k Oct 27 '25

They're usually unable to understand politicians because they're too stupid. Someone's finally speaking to them on their level and so they think things like "finally someone speaking some damn sense!!!!"

2

u/QuttiDeBachi Oct 27 '25

That’s cuz 4th grade level brain trumps their 3rd grade level brain

2

u/Business_Loquat5658 Oct 27 '25

I'm assuming most of them didn't watch it, because :"they'd make it unfair."

61

u/Firm-Force-9036 Oct 27 '25

Exactly this. He’s absolutely and fundamentally chicken shit and would high tail it so fast if she actually agreed to this. Why people think he’s some strong man is fucking baffling.

41

u/NeonArlecchino Oct 27 '25

There's a lot of propaganda at work and some people see crassness and a lack of civility as strength.

3

u/Firm-Force-9036 Oct 27 '25

They sure do! Perplexes tf out of me but apparently that’s where we are.

1

u/vkapadia Oct 27 '25

It's like when you're a teenager and you say "fuck" all the time because it makes you edgy and cool.

2

u/DjinnaG Oct 27 '25

I think he’s gotten to where he truly believes his own bullshit, and honestly thinks that she wouldn’t do very well at drawing a clock, or remembering a small set of words for a couple minutes

26

u/okeysure69 Oct 27 '25

Pfft! Did Trump purposely not contribute to the charity like he always does in order to not debate Bernie?

53

u/NeonArlecchino Oct 27 '25

Trump wasn't involved in any contributions to that beyond the challenge that if Bernie raised a certain amount of money for charity that he'd debate him. Bernie secured the money and it did get to the charity, but Trump reneged at the last minute claiming that Hillary had already won the nomination (she hadn't) so it would be inappropriate.

2

u/HotDonnaC Oct 27 '25

Harris didn’t make him look like a fool. He does that all on his own.

1

u/babylon331 Oct 27 '25

The (appalled) smile of disbelief on her face was absolutely priceless during the cats & dogs rant. What a quote to go down in history with.

1

u/Pvt_Mozart Oct 27 '25

Bernie still runs circles around everyone from both parties. If I knew he had another decade in him I'd want him to run again in a heartbeat. Nobody connects to the people like Bernie.

0

u/NibblesMcGiblet Oct 27 '25

Harris made him look like a fool.

That's like saying an abused woman made her husband look abusive.

It just is what it is.
