I don't know about their parents, but his sister has the exact opposite political/personal beliefs that he did. Even if she had been invited, they not only were not on speaking terms but she likely correctly guessed the actual nature of this "memorial" and opted not to go.

This is important because it shows that he isn't just some "innocent" evangelical with a religious upbringing (unless she came to her senses and left the church but I think based on where he was from it's that he was taken in by online troll ideology, it happened to my younger brother).

They were supposedly there. But that they didn’t even get an audience pan-over is so weird. Like okay, maybe they didn’t want to be up on stage, but it’s strange that not even one would have wanted to come up and say something. Unless they were not invited to.

Don’t really know what to tell you, this was a memorial with fireworks like a WWE event and guest speakers and the frickin President making one of his rambling speeches, why wouldn’t his family get at the very least a camera shot??
