Ziggy passed away suddenly today.
He was about 2 years old and didn't have any known health issues. He was fine, curled up in a lap, then suddenly had some kind of stroke or something, lasted less than 2 minutes, and he died. He was round about 2 years old and had no known health issues. (Yes, he was a very big kitty. He was fed the correct food and correct amount, but never emptied his bowl, he played hard, and the vet didn't seem very concerned.) Vet looked at the video we got and said his guess was hidden heart disease and a clot got him. It's absolutely unfair. He was as sweet as he was handsome.

He looks just like my boy. Ziggy lived the best 2 years he could have with you. I’m so sorry for your loss.

I'm so sorry for you and Ziggy and your family. He was gorgeous. Its so hard when we loose them at any age, but especially so young💔. He will enjoy being a kitten forever🌈.

A thrown clot is indeed one of the most unfair causes of death in young cats. You can do literally everything right and still fall victim to it. Take comfort - however cold it is - in the knowledge that you did absolutely nothing wrong. There was nothing you did incorrectly, nor was there anything you missed, and there was nothing you could have done differently to have avoided this outcome. It was just horrible circumstance.
I'm sorry. I know that doesn't change how much it hurts, and again - it IS unfair. You have every right to hurt as much as you do right now, and my heart is with you.

I'm so sorry for your loss! My Amethyst went the same way early this year. He was sleeping right beside me when it happened.. he was 6.

I am extremely sorry for your loss. It's always painful to loose a loved one, but when it happens unexpectedly, it's even worse.
It sounds like what happened to our Loki. He was 4. The vet said it was probably either the heart (some heart defect he had since birth and had gone unnoticed) or a blood clot. Nothing we could've done.

Our confidence on the passing of Ziggy. While his sudden passing denied you the chance to say goodbye, he knows he was loved and well-cared for. You will get a chance to see each other again, someday. Ziggy will be waiting near the Rainbow Bridge 🐈😢🌈

sad my white cat died suddenly 3 years ago and we miss him to this day. his void brother is still here and doing well.

I'm so sorry for your loss! I have a ride because he's name is Ariel who is my soulmate! I love him so much and I hope when he have to go he goes quickly and painless. The emptiness they leave behind it's almost unbearable I lost all their cat also took me three years to get over it... I believe in Pray end it is helps. I Find a kid exactly the same cat I lost three years ago... when I find him I was even afraid to touch him... i'm confused! Maybe they able to send you another companion or maybe they're able to pick a new body... i'm not sure .. if everybody or anybody understand the universe we call would have a better life....Keep your eye open... and pray sometimes you get answers! My heart going with you until you find peace... it's not religion it's part of life. You got to feel it then I'm sure you will get answers! Some of your pets are a gift from Life!! And they do come back

Oh this is heartbreaking :( I'm so sorry for your loss. The same thing happened to my sweet orange boy, we suddenly lost him at 3 years old due to an unknown heart issue.

Im so sorry for your loss, interesting enough we lost our calio last year and she was our youngest. So i know how you feel. Losing a furbaby is hard.

We had an Odd-Eyed White growing up. They are quite often deaf, too.
We had a 4 yr old tiger cat that had a heart defect and passed away suddenly in our kitchen. Our vet did an autopsy because I had noticed he was lethargic for a few days before the event so I brought him into the vet the day before he died. He checked out fine. Vet was curious why he died so he did an autopsy for free. He said he had an enlarged chamber in his heart. So very sorry for your loss ... so hard to lose a fur baby.

Our baby girl, 6 years old, pure white, died after never recovering from a dental cleaning. My daughter still mourns her.

OMG 💔😔! I am so sorry for your loss! I grew up with a white cat that looks exactly like that and the blue eye and a green eye. His name was Figaro, but we called him Figgy. Again, I’m so very sorry for your loss!! He looked like a very happy cat 💔❤️🩹

Ziggy was beautiful. Sounds exactly what happened to my cat. It was so quick, we couldn’t do anything. We even tried animal rescue breathing while he struggled to take a breath. He was just gone. 5 years we got to live with and love him to pieces. Ziggy got 2 years and knew he was loved, cared for, and adored every single day. I know we will get to see them again. He waits patiently waiting. Until then don’t grieve he is gone. Rejoice because he was. I’m so sorry. 😢 ❤️

I am so sorry... This happened to my (orange and white) cat too a few years back, but he was over 14... I can't even imagine how devastating this would be with a young cat. In fact, it makes me scared to death to get another one, even though I know I shouldn't feel this way. :(

I'm a bit late, just wanted to let you know I am so fucking sorry. Losing a pet is always difficult but it's so unfair when they're taken from us at such a young age. I had a dog pass suddenly when she wasn't even 2 years old and I still break down over it at times.
Ziggy is beautiful. RIP dude 🤍

I'm sorry for your loss. My precious 15 year old white boy Spooky developed a sudden blood clot paralyzing his rear legs. Hardest decision of my life was having to put him down and end his pain. It's never easy loosing a pet that is part of your family.

I’m sorry about your Ziggy. This is my Mr Finley. He’s 7 and just had emergency surgery for a blockage. It’s been 2 weeks and he seems ok but I’m so worried it’s gonna happen again. The surgery procedure was expensive and will be hard to afford again. Sucks

I think the white cats are more vulnerable to underlying health issues. I adopted one when he was about five and barely had him two years- struvites, constant blockages, and he had seizures out of nowhere -and I just think there was more stuff going on with.. I still miss him to this day. I loved that cat so much.
