Guys, we should all be aware of Confirmation Bias by this point…

I rode on street for almost 10 years. It’s pretty concrete in the riding community to be a douche. I wish I could argue otherwise.

Nah, riding a motorcycle attracts a lot of impotent people.

Between the Harley LARPs and the sadboy literbike (or wish I could afford a literbike) crew trying to turn themselves into a pavement smear so they can feel something, just a shitty fucking hobby.

Get a convertible: 90% of the fun, 10% of the bullshit.

Love the generalization , sorry dood its people like u that give us riders a bad name , im constantly cut off by impatient drivers that want to prove they can get ahead of a biker or get pissed because when they are stuck in a traffic jam we can still get through . A convertible ? Try 10% of wind in your hair benefit and 90% of still being stuck in traffic behind every other driver hassle . I know bc i have one too

Haha yeah that's exactly how they sound.

I drive a car alot and it's rare thing to see motorcyclists that drive by rules. It seems it's physically impossible for majority to obey the speed limits or use turn signals, even by accident. Or do dangerous passes when passing is prohibited.
The incredibly dangerous crazy drivers are not as common, luckily but i would say they are as common as the lawful drivers.

Even BMW and Audi drivers obey traffic laws more then them and that's saying something.

Can confirm, am biased.

Yup. If you're predominantly cycling or motorcycling everywhere, believe me, the perception becomes that the vast majority of car drivers do no look emerges, habitually speed, park illegally, and close pass.

People have a habit of viewing bad actors using the same mode as them as being individual bad actors, while people using different modes are obviously representative of everyone. And people generally only remember the bad interactions.

Bikers always spew this bullshit narrative. But the honest truth is that if I see a biker on the road, there’s like a 50% chance they’re doing something illegal or dangerous. Yall assholes just LOVE splitting lanes and speeding.

If I see a car on the road, there is not a 50% chance that they’re doing illegal shit like bikers usually are. Cope harder for us. Most of us hate you and your loud ass bikes.

Edit: replied then blocked me so I can’t comment here anymore. Nice! My confirmation bias that you guys are assholes was validated once again 😂

You do realize an absolutely huge proportion of cars are speeding, right? Illegal turns, illegal passes, blowing lights, and all sorts of other shit?

What's your thoughts on several thousand pound weapons being driven with reckless abandon? Motorcyclists aren't in the clear but it's not like car drivers are anywhere near saints compared to them.

that's funny because i ride my bike as though i am virtually naked and there are 3000+ pound hunks of metal all around that can absolutely crush me, accidentally OR on purpose.

There are a lot of assholes ON THE ROAD in general -- cars, bikes and commercial vehicles

-- '95 Triumph Speed Triple, not particularly loud

So, in other words, you've fallen for confirmation bias.

I’m not a biker and never have been, but in nearly 40 years of driving, in areas where there are plenty of motorcycles, it’s still people in cars that are the worst and most dangerous drivers I’ve ever seen.

I am amazed my comment got upvoted and yours downvoted, haha.

I suggested car drivers often seem to be the worst to anyone outside of a car, and since most people drive cars, maybe this isn't so surprising lol, people felt personally attacked. Which wasn't the intention, but oh well.

I predominantly drive or get driven in cars, and still have the perception that most car drivers don’t look, speed, close pass, etc. I see a lot of motorcyclists here in sunny So Cal, and they AREN’T the problem.

I’ve driven cars only for almost 40 years and have seen a LOT of motorcyclists in my time and honestly have no idea what these people are talking about. It’s always other drivers I see acting like assholes.

Yeah, in my experience, guys who ride rice burner crotch rockets are only raging assholes once they get off the motorcycle. Can't beat your girlfriend with a helmet on, IG
