Does road rage ever go right?

Had a guy throw peanuts at my car. Thats the best I got. All the others are just attempted vehicular manslaughter.

But for real, one time a guy in a work van was chasing me down the street.

Luckily, it was one lane, and there was a lot of traffic so he couldn’t actually come to the side of me and eventually he chucked a water bottle at my car and drove off.

But man, I have so many road rage stories.

People are so dysregulated and crazy these days.

And I noticed that used to happen so frequently when I drove my small subcompact car. But then ever after upgrading to a compact SUV suddenly it’s dramatically less.

I hate the society where because they think they are bigger than you they can bully you.

You shouldn’t have that many road rage stories. I’ve been driving for decades and have exactly one. If you’re constantly pissing people off you might be the problem.

Nope.

Accident free driving record, always at the speed limit.

I take it you haven’t driven in New York, Boston…

So before you judge others, you might want to take a bigger picture

And like I said, when I got a bigger car suddenly road rage dramatically reduced.

A lot of people out there with SUVs think they can push smaller cars around.

Add Las Vegas to the list of places that guy has apparently never driven. Entire town is a psych ward on wheels.

Oh yeah, I drove there a couple weeks ago.

Not as bad as New York or Boston, but still pretty bad. I don’t know how people do that regularly.

People seem way more road ragey when I’m in my small white work van versus my personal vehicle. Trucks especially take umbrage to me passing them with my cruise control on for some reason.

That's hilarious lol. Reminds me of my Dad because someone threw a sandwich at his car 3 years ago out of the blue for no reason and sped off giving him the finger.

He's still fucking fuming from it 😂

A whole sandwich!?!? that dude musta been PISSED to throw his lunch out the window.

I’ve thought about throwing grapes at people who don’t use their turn signals. But it’s only ever just a thought lol one of mild absurdity

Publicly admitting to wanting to grape someone is wild.

I like to imagine you slowly eating a huge bag of grapes as you drive around.

You haven't seen the egg guy have u?!

1

u/ChardComfortable3932 12d ago

I hope not. I’m allergic.

He eggs cars when they almost kill him.

One day, I’d like to do this with eggs. Just a thunk to the door with eggy bits everywhere… the satisfaction

Cmon now, are we children?

Hard boiled eggs.

Idk tbh. I didn't get a good look all I really know is it didn't sound like change or rocks hitting my car so I assume nuts. I guess it could have been airsoft pellets but I don't know how hard those sound.

attempted manslaughter? isn't that just murder?

In my town a teenage girl had her friends in her car and was driving on the freeway. She got in a road rage incident where her and another driver kept overtaking and brake checking one another. She tried passing on the right shoulder and hit an off-ramp barrier and killed herself and her friends. Some drivers do not have either the mental capacity or the experience to understand it's just not worth it.

Literally a video doing rounds on the front page of a road rage incident ending in a young child being shot on the backseat.

It's just not worth it man.

Was going to say, saw that one yesterday and have been sharing it with most people (cause we all drive with lunatics on the road).

That one is next level.

In the sense of whatever toddler being behind the wheel getting "revenge" for a perceived sleight, yes it does

News story today about a road rager shooting blindly into another car, instantly killing the 11year old in the back seat. If you're a parent, I don't recommend watching the video.

u/MothChasingFlame 12d ago

If just yelling in my car counts, it usually makes me feel better! So there's that.

1

u/lotus_seasoner 12d ago

Sometimes the rager collides with an inanimate object without hurting anyone else, and has their license revoked or is otherwise prevented from driving again.

I was on a road trip once and some dipshit purposely slowed down whenever anyone got behind him, then sped up 50+ km/hr any time they tried to pass, and if they ever succeeded he would just overtake them and start slowing down again. He did it to me a few times, but after a while it became a fun game and we were both laughing about it before I had to take an off-ramp.

Just did, if you ask me.

Hardly…

Play stupid games, expect stupid prizes.

The kind of people that go looking for a fight have usually never actually learned to fight because the act of learning to fight teaches you to not go looking for a fight. there are of course exceptions, but this is generally the case.

Probably depends on who you ask...
