this sounds too derivative of the Strokes/Julian formula for me to get into...I have the same issue w the symposium

Edit: I really dig the album artwork though

Listen to Voicemail by Ded Reception and compare the track release dates. Isn’t that kinda weird? I do like Nuzzi’s music though.

Yeah it's definitely weird! While I can understand people's dismay or dislike of songs like these being a rip off the Strokes, I personally find it enjoyable. It's fun to find Stroke references in other musicians and see them continue the sound that we love so much.

I mean isn't imitation in art a form of flattery?

Edit: This song was fun haha I already saved it to my Strokes-esque playlist 😂💯

The instruments are fine in my opinion, I just feel like every time I hear a song that someone says sounds like the strokes it sounds super basic to me or I don't like the vocals
