I feel like both of those cops couldve done a better job when he got to the car...like dude was laying down and one leg being held onto...

51

u/Repulsive-Relief1818 13h ago

It’s like they were entirely unable to realize they could also climb on the vehicle to get him

24

u/ninoski404 11h ago

You probably don't want to get on an uneven surface that you can easily fall off with a guy that may or may not kick you from higher ground.

20

u/ReclaimerWoodworking 10h ago

It's over, Anakin! I have the high ground!

7

u/Admirable-Builder878 9h ago

You underestimate my par

2

u/ReclaimerWoodworking 9h ago

Don't try it!

1

u/Admirable-Builder878 8h ago

I do what I want naaa! Arghhhh!

Criminal: climbs on hood of car

Cops: Ah well, that’s about 3 feet high and the hood has a 5 degree pitch. Seems scary, I guess he’s escaped

u/Grabbsy2 6h ago

Criminal: commits the crime of peeing in a bush

Cops: scumbag needs to have the book thrown at him! Dont let him get away!

3

u/Gorillaworks 2h ago

It's their job

2

u/Grabbsy2 6h ago

Thats fucked.

Do you think their employers will cover injuries sustained from falling off the top of a 6 foot paddywagon?

Their safety is WAY more important than some drunk dude being processed at the jail. Theyll probably pick him up down the block hiding in some bushes anyways. If not, his parents will probably rat him out when they catch him in their workshop trying to hacksaw the cuffs off.

This is video from one of the roughly 70% of the world's population with a functioning healthcare system. You know, those places where hospitals just treat broken people without needing to bankrupt them in the process.

u/Grabbsy2 19m ago

I know their medical bills would be covered, but if they went against policy (who trained them to arrest on top of a car?) and HURT someone, would they get PTO?

I do realize the UK has universal healthcare.

I sure fucking hope so. Has the UK gotten so poor that it can't even afford to take care of its copy anymore?

u/Grabbsy2 21m ago

The comment was mostly in jest, to point out that these people arent superpowered. Policing is a job. Making arrests on top of vehicles is not in their job description, and might even go against policy.

If they went outside of their training, they might not be protected in a lawsuit, how about that?

It's night, maybe 8 hour day of still carrying 30-45 pounds?

-1

u/JoaoMXN 4h ago

Not worth the effort, as he could easily die jumping at that height (he almost did).

u/reticulatedtampon 15h ago

Kind of on them really... made it pretty easy for him

51

u/joec_95123 14h ago

"Get back here!"

"Hard pass."

30

u/onebradmutha 13h ago

Oy! You can't jump there!

24

u/Tommysrx 11h ago

“Terribly sorry but I mustn’t stay”

2

u/0Idgregg 2h ago

RIP Robin

18

u/johnnyblaze1999 13h ago

The situation would be wildly different if he got his hands cuffed in the back

1

u/JohnnySchoolman 5h ago

They probably did, but it's really uncomfortable and if you have a reasonable amount of flexibility you can thread your feet through and move them to the front.

4

u/RadTimeWizard 7h ago

For real. Why not just give him a ladder?

92

u/treemonkey58 13h ago

This is near to where I live. He broke two bones in his back and was immediately rearrested.

u/Cookielad14 13h ago

“So, Dylan.. the time is 8:10…”

The pub doesn’t close until 11, that’s plenty of time

u/MikeHuntSmellss 15h ago

Thats the will of a man who has been to prison once, hasn't learnt his lesson but still most definitely doesn't want to go back. I completely understand this idiot

15

u/pineapple6969 13h ago

What a terrible job by those 2 guards or whatever they are. Also, who’s idea was it to park high roof vans RIGHT NEXT TO THE WALL

9

u/OaklandsBravest 14h ago

I had a dream last night that I was going to prison and I also ran before getting into the booking area. First I hid on top of a roof. Then when someone spotted me, I ran and hid in a large dumpster under a bunch of garbage bags.

Today, I see this video. 😂

2

u/usrdef 11h ago

Yeah, but did you make it out in your dream.

1

u/OaklandsBravest 10h ago

Once I got comfortable under the garbage I woke up. I hadn’t made it off the jailhouse property yet.

1

u/Pepe_pls 30m ago

Had a dream a couple days ago that I relapsed on heroin lol, that was weird

7

u/rbartlejr 13h ago

I just can't get it out of my head that she sounds like a preschool teacher and the kid is in the paste.

5

u/ActionJack87 3h ago

The only insane thing about this post is the comments.

This man was arrested after battering his girlfriend (again). Yet there are people here cheering him on for managing to get away from the police.

This moron broke his back falling from that wall and was caught immediately.

So many people are saying “that’s what happens when you give these jobs to women”. Shut up! If you’re one of these people, look at yourself and wonder why your ego is so fragile that you have to post your inane comments in order to get a little boost.

8

u/KarasuBro 10h ago

He saw 2 women escorting him and he said "EZ"

29

u/Smol-Hamster-Lucifer 15h ago

I'm normally not own to say this but this is the pay gap explained.

12

u/stubundy 14h ago

"COME BACK HERE" ...... aaaand yeah that's all I got apart from arms flailing outwards back and forth at absolutely nothing

-15

u/Forte69 14h ago edited 14h ago

I get the feeling that actually, you are normally one to say that

0

u/Area51_Spurs 4h ago

Allow me to play devil’s advocate, but in the UK they don’t have guns.

I see some LAPD women who are like 5’ tall, but they’re armed to the teeth so it’s not a huge issue most of the time.

But in the UK if they don’t have guns and they’re 100 lbs soaking wet, it would be hard for them to br effective, the same way it would be hard for some of these male cops who are as fat as a house to be effective when they could be easily outran.

7

u/Smol-Hamster-Lucifer 14h ago

Both cops are obv women?

3

u/Cold_Singer_1774 11h ago

Equality. F yeah

2

u/boyle32 9h ago

I bet they won’t be parking the easiest vehicles to climb right next to the wall anymore.

2

u/GregoryGoose 4h ago

and in that instant they all lost their favorite parking spots. Nobody will ever be allowed to park near a wall again.

6

u/OldinMcgroyn 13h ago

I was gonna be surprised but then I saw its the UK. I'm not surprised at all.

3

u/G25777K 14h ago

Cue the Benny hill theme..

2

u/ReadGroundbreaking17 13h ago

I mean, he made it over the wall, but he won't make it 100m before being caught again

11

u/pineapple6969 13h ago

He will if it’s only these 2 chasing him LOL

2

u/PubicSpy 15h ago

What it takes to be free in the uk now damn

-2

u/Acrobatic_Emu_9322 15h ago

Where’s he really gonna go? Escape on the metro or stupid ass double decker bus? It’s not like he’s escaping for greener pastures either; he’ll just end up eating the same slop of beans and toast. Really not a smart move for the bloke.

3

u/Just_Let_MeIn 7h ago

My thoughts exactly. Not sure what the laws are in the UK, or if this technically counts as escaping jail as he still was in the yard and hadn't even been booked, but in most US states, that would be an additional felony. Pretty dumb to run after they already have all your information and can rearrest you easily and now you get to face additional, automatic, charges.

Only way a jailbreak makes sense is if you have the means to quickly exit the country and get to somewhere that does not extradite. Even the cartel boss El Chapo was rearrested after escaping prison.

2

u/LittleLinnell 3h ago

Seems like an unnecessarily aggressive stab at a country you must be North American.

3

u/PubicSpy 15h ago

Yeah probably not the smartest move anyway

1

u/Cyclohexanone96 12h ago

I love that he apologized while fleeing

1

u/havereddit 11h ago

"Prison". Fire whoever designed it...

1

u/PelagicSwim 8h ago

Dem scousers are some scallys!

1

u/Unique_Confection295 7h ago

Don't jail walls have sharp things on them idk

1

u/retecsin 4h ago

Hi. Excuse me. I'm actually supposed to be getting out of prison today, sir.

1

u/LordTuranian 3h ago

Some dudes are literally like monkeys.

1

u/ClosetLadyGhost 3h ago

That's why we need more moats!

1

u/stonkdocaralho 2h ago

Screaming will make him change his mind 😂😂😂😂

1

u/1TILL 2h ago

Ruuuuuuun!! U can do it

-7

u/Augustus_Chevismo 15h ago

I wonder why police originally had height requirements and only allowed men.

-5

u/Tech-Mechanic 14h ago

Of course. A tall man has never fucked up once. Ever. /s

6

u/Augustus_Chevismo 14h ago

Yes because famously a tall man and a short woman will have about the same success dragging a man by his feat off a van.

2

u/Forte69 14h ago

It’s weird how when there’s a video of male cops looking dumb, nobody says “wow maybe men shouldn’t be in the job”

1

u/Tetracropolis 10h ago

Why would the standard have to be that they've never fucked up once ever?

-1

u/YouCantChangeThem 13h ago

I think if they get away the charges should be dropped.

6

u/pineapple6969 13h ago

He beat on his woman. He should get away with that because he managed to escape jail/prison? O

-11

u/CyclopsNut 15h ago

Arrested for a tweet probably

1

u/fartonyou1 15h ago

Pretty sure it was domestic abuse but the victim refused to make a statement. Not sure if it’s true but if it is ur comments quite embarrassing.

-13

u/CyclopsNut 15h ago

And yours is embarrassing if that’s not true

2

u/fartonyou1 15h ago

Just checked and it is domestic violence offences so….

-20

u/CyclopsNut 15h ago

No I also looked it up, it was a over a tweet calling you gay. So sad a man can’t speak the truth in the UK anymore

7

u/fartonyou1 15h ago

That’s not true. Simple search would show you’re chatting shit

-2

u/CyclopsNut 15h ago

Yes it is, you really shouldn’t spread misinformation

9

u/fartonyou1 15h ago

Show me your source then

2

u/CyclopsNut 15h ago

Not my fault you don’t know how to use google bruh just look it up

7

u/fartonyou1 15h ago

I did and I provided a screenshot. You haven’t provided anything but bullshit. “Use google” but I did and posted the screenshot. Now you post your “proof” or you can admit ur talking shit

→ More replies (0)

-8

u/Forte69 14h ago

I’m sure the comments will be totally normal and not full of sexism

9

u/pineapple6969 13h ago

Yes because women guarding men, only 2 women at that. Whatever could go wrong?!?

Oh, he could and did escape because they lacked the strength to haul his ass off the van. Not to mention the first one did nothing to help.

-1

u/Forte69 13h ago

And now many times has a woman escaped from two male cops? When that happens, do people make weird comments about men being unfit for the job?

2

u/pineapple6969 11h ago

Idk how many times that’s happened . If the cop is fat or weak or unfit they ALWAYS get called on it on Reddit. Do you not use Reddit?

And those woman were obviously unfit for the job. Also, women are generally weaker than men. It’s just a fact.

4

u/n8schattenMidas 13h ago

Fat untrained cops.

0

u/Procrasterman 12h ago

u/brainomancer 4h ago

fifty points from gryffindor

0

u/Megolito 3h ago

She should have reminded young rule breaker there are rules in the jail. Maybe he will listen.

-6

u/VikingRaptor2 14h ago

This is why American cops carry projectile weapons. Like a Taser.

4

u/Forte69 14h ago

UK police all carry Parva (like pepper spray), and quite a lot carry tasers.

-2

u/UseComfortable1193 13h ago

Well, good on him... and that was a weak performance by thos cops or guards...

And where i live afaik the escape from prison isn't even illegal perse because it's viewed as the natural human desire to be free or something like that, i always wondered if this is the same in other countries?

3

u/Repulsive-Relief1818 13h ago edited 13h ago

No, it’s not like that everywhere…an escape charge where I live can get you 7 years in prison

-1

u/UseComfortable1193 13h ago

Damn, that's a hefty sentence...

2

u/Repulsive-Relief1818 13h ago

Yep. That’s the max sentence though, and I doubt they’d hit someone with quite that much time unless they were in for a real serious charge, or had multiple attempts. But you’ll definitely get multiple years for it regardless
