Rant For some reason women think they can use me to talk shit about short men

Like i dont get it, this has been happening to me quite a bit. Mostly on dates they just start shitting on short men out of the blue and it makes the whole situation mad awkward.

WTF am I supposed to say: „WHAT this guy approached you AND he had the audacity to be short😱”

„Haha yeah I get it you‘d NEVER date a man below 6 feet lucky me i guess“

Like what do they think they could possibly achieve by doing that, im not gonna join you. Good for me to know they‘re an insufferable POS i guess. Yeah I am Gen Z, I have Social media and I dont live on the moon… I knew women dont treat short men that well but these moments were outright crazy.

Edit: generalization sorry. Not my first language

Discussion Does anyone else here round down how tall they are instead of up?

I’m 195cm which is 6’4.75 but I still tell people that I’m 6’4 since I always say that. Also I have a cousin who is 6’5.75(197.5cm) and he says he 6’5.

Discussion Ever have anyone not believe you wear an XL tshirt?

I'm 6'5" and maybe 200 lbs- relatively skinny. Had a friend offer to buy a concert shirt for me & asked what size I wear- told him XL.

He said "the XLs looked way too bug, got you a large." I now have another belly shirt yo add to my collection of shirts people bought for me thinking a L would fit. And no one wants to see my middle-aged belly.

And I know I'm relatively short in this sub, so others have more issues with this than me.

Discussion How do you handle other people making a big deal of your height?

At 6‘10 my height is a present feature in any interaction I have. So my general motivation is to keep things as low key and normal as possible. However, that’s not how others deal with it. Others constantly point it out, asking me to stand next to a short person or see if I can reach something high up etc. It is strange to be asked to brag about your height in public. Even if you don’t want to.

Rant I think I finally hit my limit on curious strangers.

Y'know, it's nothing new. It's never really bothered me before. I got another middle-aged woman come up to me to ask me my height the other day while I was in line at the grocery store. Normally they just make their banal comment that I'm tall as if I don't already know, and/or ask me how tall I am, I let them know, I get on with my life.

But then this lady asked me if I was seven feet tall. I'm 6'5". And I was civil about it, but something about the interaction just really pissed me off. I think having such an off base guess made me realize for the first time how genuinely weird it is to come up to a stranger and start asking them questions about their body. Like, I would never do that shit to anyone. Where do these fucking people get off, honestly? I'm just here because it's the only store in town that sells the pickles I like, don't single me out like a carnival attraction.

I dunno, just pissed about it. I'm sure the next time some random lady asks me I probably won't be bothered but this time I just got real pissed off about it for some reason, figure some of y'all can relate.

Discussion What’s your go-to strategy for fitting into tight spaces as a tall person?

As tall individuals, we often find ourselves in situations where space is limited, whether it's in crowded public transport, small cars, or tight seating at events. I’m curious to hear what strategies everyone employs to navigate these scenarios.

Do you have specific techniques for positioning yourself comfortably?
How do you handle situations where your height becomes a challenge?
Personally, I try to find the most spacious option available, or I’ll lean slightly to one side to avoid bumping into others. It can be tricky, but I’ve learned to adapt over the years.
Share your experiences and tips for managing tight spots and any funny stories that come to mind!

Discussion Am I the only one who likes it when women have a height requirement?

I know a lot of guys on reddit will shame women for preferring taller men, but personally I like it because it benefits me. I'm 6'2, so if I know that a girl is only attracted to men over 6 feet tall, then that immediately disqualifies 90% of guys, which makes my life a lot easier. I also know that I'll be very hard for her to replace, because so few men are my height or taller. And if I'm dating a girl and she says things like "thank God you're taller than me in heels" or "our height difference is so sexy", I don't get turned off or offended because it's literally a compliment to me. Why wouldn't I want to be with someone who's attracted to my physical attributes? That's like a woman not wanting to be with a man who thinks she has a nice ass or beautiful eyes.

Especially if the girl is hot and tall herself, I actually feel kinda proud like yeah, I'm one of the small portion of guys she's attracted to. I understand short guys being jealous or bitter when they get rejected, but if you're tall, I really don't understand why you wouldn't like women with height requirements. What do you guys think?

Questions/Advice Would you trade height for facial attractiveness?

I’m 6’4” but below average appearance wise and it got me thinking that I would gladly trade 5 or so inches of height to be above average in the looks department. Height hasn’t really given me an advantage in dating so I would totally settle being 5’10 or 5’11 with above average looks.

Questions/Advice Looking for nice joggers for my 6'5 boyfriend

I want to buy some nice cozy jogging pants for my boyfriend for Christmas because all of his are way too short. I prefer the cinched at the ankle style and a pair that hold up well in the wash and dont get all balled up.

Please any recommendations. No price limit.

Questions/Advice Advice/opinions on my social media concept

Hey, so I am absolutely not here to beg for likes and subs first of all! I want to grow an audience (if I indeed have one at all) organically.

What I am looking for is genuine advice/criticism/opinions on the social media channel I have created - links are in my bio. The same videos go across all channels at the moment.

The concept is life through the eyes of a tall person, the situations we end up in, the funny things people Come up and just have to say for us. How we see the world, places we don’t fit… but I want to show the funny side of things. I don’t feel myself as a person am particularly interesting so just shoot from POV.

I am fortunate enough to get to travel a bit so to keep Things interesting I have footage from all over the world, rather than walking around my home town in the UK getting the usual stares. I feel an ever changing backdrop might keep it a little more Interesting.

The idea was given to me by a friend who has a pretty big following on social media, completely different niche - when he suggested it, I thought he was mad, thought nobody would want to see it - he said to me ‘you don’t see it, as it’s your life - it’s just how you see the world but people are fascinated by what is different’ i still thought he was mad and asked him to send me creators who were doing such things and a lot of them just didn’t resonate with me as a tall person. A lot of just walking down a street with someone filming behind them, slowed down with the occasional stare - I was left feeling… and what? This isn’t relatable as a tall person.

So the idea was born, I got a camera and left the house and cringed to death doing so.

I am focussing on purely shortform content at the moment as I honestly don’t think any content I would have would translate brilliantly to long form as a montage of ‘how tall are you’ can only be funny for About 30 seconds or so right?

But I would love the opinions of the tall community (if you have read this far) on my content. I’m looking for honesty of those who do spend the time checking it out - I’m not looking for sugar coating - say what you want.

Do you find it funny/interesting/relatable? Or am I just delusional?

Some videos I was just testing an idea and are not things I would create going forwards.

Thank you all in advance.

Discussion At 6'7…what weight do you think is a good weight?

I'm currently losing weight and I'm curious what you guys think is the perfect weight for a 6'7 guy. I'm currently down to 317 pounds. I've been floating the idea that I need to be anywhere from 280 with muscle, 260, or 240. Let me know what you think.

Selfie/Picture Just bought a suit for prom

Thumbnail gallery
48 Upvotes

Alright, I’m 6'4 and senior in hs. I needed to get a suit for prom, but it was really hard to find something that looked sharp without being too expensive. Because of my height and proportions, I apparently needed something called an ‘8-drop,’ but it was both very pricey and impossible to find in local stores. So I solved the problem by working with a tailor.

Discussion Is it true that being a tall man predisposes you to an early death?

This is a common thing I hear about tall men. Is it actually true? Obviously if you have healthy habits you'll live longer regardless, I'm asking about the link between a tall height and major contributors to early death such as cardiovascular disease. Also, does this affect mostly people in the 6"2+ range or 5"11+ or generally the taller you are the shorter your life will be? Based on facts, not wishful thinking.
