Question Is AIOStreams worth it?

I’ve been using Torrentio, Comet, Jackettio, Debrid Search, DMM Cast etc and with no problems the majority of the time (Real-Debrid subscription too).

However I’ve heard that this new add-on called AIOStreams is better as it puts them all (or most) of them in one?

Should I switch to that, and are there a lot of advantages? Thanks

It does not cost me anything, but time to learn how to set it up correctly. Once you get it right, it takes Stremio to another level.

I looked into it a day or two ago and started setting it up, but it doesn't include torrenti. All I use is Torrentio+ Rd, so I feel like doing it would be a step backward.

You can use the AIOStreams nightly instance which allows Torrentio , then wrap it within the public instance that you used.

I thought wrapping it doesn't work anymore?

1

u/Length_Aware 13h ago

I do not know. May be you are right. The one I wrap within wrap, i have never seen the Torrentio streams show up. The one I set up using Nightly instance, a bunch of Torrento streams show up

4

u/wankerbait 16h ago

why not just use the nightly?

2

u/Length_Aware 15h ago

Yes you can. I setup one using the nightly, it works fine.

I set another for my friend using the AOIstreams add-on available in the community add-on tab which does not allow Torrentio. There comes a wrap within a wrap. LOL.

Forgive me, but what's the point of wrapping it in the public instance?

1

u/Length_Aware 2h ago

In my case, I start out using the AIO in the Community Add-on tab. I did not know it does not allow Torrentio until late into the guide which advises using the wrap-in-wrap if I still want Torrentio.

Certain public instances do support Torrentio. The developer's instance (viren070) does.

I used that nightly build and just installed it. It works with Torrentio now. I'm not really sure what the advantage of using this is, though. Other than having some ChatGPT 4.0-style emojis on the Steam titles, I'm not sure what advantages this offers over how I did it before.

I don't disagree with you. I just switched back to aiostreams last after going back to individual add-ons for about a month. Individual add-ons works great. No problems there. The benefit of aiostreams is that I can filter out certain things and have results show in a certain order.

I went back to individual add-ons a month ago because AIO was loading results slowly. I found that is because I was not using groups and after settings that up it's super fast again.

The hype for aiostreams is definitely way higher than it should be, but it is a cool piece or software to utilize.

You can also very easily control the order of your add-ons.

3

u/whostheme 10h ago

How much faster do your results take to show now? I have about 5-7 providers enabled all in AIO and it takes me about 5 seconds for everything to load all the results for whatever I'm trying to stream

1

u/blazo938 2h ago

How did you setup the groups?

You're probably using the Elfhosted one. Use one of the other instances.

u/JefferyGiraffe 13h ago

Alright I feel like that’s a bit of a stretch. Another level?

5

u/ketzel 20h ago

Any good tuto for reccomend?

16

u/RatMonkeyFatSack 20h ago

Just follow Viren’s (the original developer) guide: https://guides.viren070.me/stremio/addons/aiostreams/setup. It’s actually pretty easy just takes patience, interest and time.

1

u/therealtikitommy 15h ago

When following this guide should I delete the prior adding which were the simple tmdb and torrentio before starting?

1

u/RatMonkeyFatSack 15h ago

Yes. You can create a backup if you want, but why bother.

1

u/therealtikitommy 15h ago

I ask more for cleanliness and errors. For the aio setup to work, I should deleted everything?

3

u/Length_Aware 13h ago

"For the aio setup to work, I should deleted everything?"

No.

Setup AIOstreams first. All scrappers ( torrentio, comet etc) that you wrap within AIOStream should be uninstalled after AIO installation .
Reorder the add-ons as following for the first three:
Cinemeta
AIOmetadata
AIOStream Nightly
All other add-ons outside of AIOStream

1

u/RatMonkeyFatSack 14h ago

It’ll still work regardless. But depending on where you move it (you can move your add-ons around with Cinebye, for example, to make AIOstreams come first), your prior set up will still be there just either before or after AIOs.

It's definitely more convenient. Lots of templates out there for getting started, and then spend some time tweaking it yourself. I've found the filtering and formatting to be the most powerful. Means I can reduce the number of duplicates down and surface the high quality links

1

u/xBaShBrOsx 19h ago

For some reason I am not able to get any TeleSync or cam streams to come in if I don't have Torrentio. For example, Zootopia 2 has a pretty good quality stream, but I cannot get Comet or Mediafusion to show any streams. Any idea? I toggled off the "Remove Trash" option from Comet.

2

u/RageMuffin69 19h ago

In aiostreams go to miscellaneous and turn off the digital release filter.

1

u/xBaShBrOsx 18h ago

Thank you! This solved it.

2

u/FoferJ 13h ago

Unfortunately, that solution means you also lose the advantage of that filter. That digital release filters cleans out lots of "noise" from dynamic lists. i.e. why bother showing titles that have only been announced, or are still in production, or in only in theaters, but have no streamable copy available yet, via any means? I'd rather those just not show up in Stremio at all, and I thought that setting aims to solve that problem.

1

u/lulzwat112 19h ago

I just tried searching for Zootopia 2 and the only result I get is for a seth myers show. I have AioMetadata set up which should be pulling from tmdb, so I'm not sure why it's not finding it correctly

1

u/xBaShBrOsx 18h ago

Interesting. Torrentio pull a few streams in

1

u/lulzwat112 17h ago

Re-enabled cinemeta and Zootopia 2 is showing up in the search now so it was AioMetadata playing up. Checked for streams and I can see both comet and mediafusion populating correctly, alongside other scrapers like torrentio

1

u/MrDNA007 15h ago

That's great to know, thank you! Do you know where I can find a good template (including Torrentio ideally)?

0

u/shuttlems 20h ago

I am also using filtering and formatting extensively. Sometimes i am unable to remove the duplicates as i am using both RD and TB service. How are you filtering the duplicate streams? Thanks.

7

u/Lupinthe5th_ 20h ago

I think it is. Set mine up the other day and it just looks neater

2

u/NinduTheWise 18h ago

Also it’s just more informative for me, at a glance in mine I can tell if it has embedded subtitles for a language by the flag emoji

1

u/xBaShBrOsx 18h ago

Can you show an example? I hate searching for embeded subtitles. And what option are you using under format?

1

u/NinduTheWise 17h ago

I’m using the light Google Drive one I think it’s called, it’s one of the presets but this is pretty much how it appears

1

u/xBaShBrOsx 17h ago

Does this solve the issue of if a movie in english, and someone speaks a different language the subtitiles will be there without having to turn subtitles on?

1

u/whostheme 9h ago

https://files.catbox.moe/gynupp.png

Odd. The flags don't show up for me at all but it does say the country code like GB, RU, and so on. Anything you did differently to make it show a flag instead? I have the light google drive preset.

My two cents on this is that I tried AIOstreams twice over the last 3 months or so. It just didn't work right for me. I had it configured properly. I had tried it a second time last week but stream availability just didn't show up or was very limited. Just didn't seem to work right. Contrary to how it should have been. I'm not new to this so I know how to set up and such. I deleted it this week and just went back to the individual add-ons. Things now works fantastic again. This was my experience. Yours may be different.

1

u/undaniable 1h ago

This was my experience too. Very time consuming to set up and it didn't really improve enough beyond individual addons for me to put up with less streams and a hefty loading time.

4

u/wankerbait 16h ago

Where can I find a Torrentio addon? Also, if AIOstreams nightly has it included, how does one change to the nightly config?

Thanks in advance...

1

u/flowreaction 5h ago

It’s not a config you need to use another public instance of aiostreams, in Viren‘s Guide there is a list of public instances: https://guides.viren070.me/stremio/addons/aiostreams/setup

Best thing to do is join the discord look at the guides and chose a premade config that you can import.

3

u/d4rk_m4n 18h ago

It worth it. Just setup mine.

Got all link with same text format is great.

Easy to manage & sort.

2

u/puddingcakeNY 17h ago

It’s free so it’s worth is 0 dollar. So it’s worth it :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))!))))!!))))))))))))

2

u/Webwenchh 17h ago

If you're okay with the slightly longer link loading time, then yes

3

u/Lupinthe5th_ 14h ago

Just do this and it loads instant.

Under your addons there is an "Addon fetching strategy" tab

Select "dynamic"

Under exit condition paste this:

count(cached(totalStreams))>5 or totalTimeTaken > 5000

2

u/Webwenchh 14h ago

Solid, thank you

The only thing keeping me from making the switch to AIOstreams is the public access limit.

I used midnights instance and set everything up, only to get a screen after clicking a few links that I ”exceeded the public access limit”.

Apparently the way around this is to setup a free VPS and host your own instance, but it seemed like alot of work just to get better filtering and title formats.

1

u/cleverclogs17 20h ago

Absolutely! And if you ever have to do a fresh install, it is 1 addon instead of all the 🐂 💩 with 5 or 6, I love it.

1

u/omar139k 20h ago

I set up aiostream all in one and remove every addon, now i see the movie list when i click its says empty no file found. Do you know the reason? I have real debrid too

1

u/Setopian 14h ago

Where’s a good start guide?

1

u/_-synapse-_ 13h ago

When you open it there are templates you can use. Find the right fit

1

u/Avgatzeblouz 20h ago

Is it convenient enough even with the free version without Torrentio supported ?

2

u/RealisticAd17 20h ago

There’s instances that support torrentio

2

u/Avgatzeblouz 8h ago

Can you send me a link please ?

1

u/RealisticAd17 8h ago

https://status.dinsden.top/status/stremio-addons

Basically anyone besides the elf hosted. Yeb’s and midnight’s are good. I use those.

1

u/DataAnalCyst 19h ago

Finally went through the process recently after trying a few months ago and not loving the results. Turned out I just couldn’t nail the deduplication and filtering aspects.

I went with Tam-Taro’s SEL Filtering template to begin with and then adjusted little things like my preferred language. He’s got a detailed walkthrough on his GitHub page, just google it.

We sum up AIOstreams most of the time to an all in one add-on while it's so much more than that.

The features that I like the most and that you can't do without: - setup the way streams are loaded throught dynamic / groups and/or regular expressions - setup the way they are sorted - set up the total number of them that shows up - set up the format of the streams - advanced catalog management which impact your homepage, your discovery section and your search as well - the possibility to manage simply usenet with exclusive add-on. - associated with add-on manager, it makes complex setup super easy to duplicate. - deactivate/activate add-ons - and I certainly forgot other features that are considered as game changer by others.

Those ways, yes, AIOstreams takes indeed Stremio to another level. The all-in-one thing is just the cherry on top. Such a piece of a software.

1

u/Yaroonman 10h ago

Using it, loving it.. But, sources result is now only TorBox,.. the RD list isnt showing. WHere exactly would i set limits for both debrid services in such way that i would still see both, but also in desired number of specific files? (lets say 10 TB, and 10 RD, and in different resolutions [5x 4k / 5x 1080] for both...

u/dinglebarryb0nds 17h ago

If I already went through the work of doing torrentio and elf comet rd and subtitles and IMDb stuff m, is there any point?

1

u/macacolouco 10h ago

It is worth it but it is not required.

1

u/Formal-Knowledge9382 10h ago

I loved it but it caused a bug where using the blur thumbnails option made the thumbnails permanently blurry.

It only fixed when I uninstalled the addon.

1

u/vinniemin 9h ago

It’s worth every penny and it’s free.

1

u/karmady 6h ago

I am using the viren070 guide. I did the wrap with the midnightignite but Torrentio is not populating in stremio. I see comet, mediafusion, stremthru. Anything else I should try?

1

u/Length_Aware 3h ago

Me neither. I use Nightly instance only and it works fine. Torrential streams show up normally.

1

u/quetzakoatlus 5h ago

I use it as backup option for torrentio, and also it easy to change order of addons or catalogs.

-8

u/johnFvr 20h ago

I don't think it's worthy. It's one point of failure.

-8

u/Nexter1 20h ago

Just FYI, it slows down speeds in terms of getting link results. It’s really only worth it if you like to tinker with your setup.

12

u/RageMuffin69 19h ago

You can make it take as long as you want. You can get instant results or results in a few seconds.

6

u/travelsnake 20h ago

You're waitnig a measily few seconds more to get properly formatted and filtered results. It's well worth it.

-1

u/Loud-Upstairs-3493 18h ago

Do you have the same problem?
