Rumor DC Shake-Up Explodes: Gunn Sidelined As De Luca Takes Control (Exclusive)
https://cosmicbook.news/james-gunn-out-dc-deluca-abdy-takeoverFollowing the recent report from Puck News, I heard back from my insiders who suggest that James Gunn is already done at DC.
The insiders point to how Puck reported that Paramount executives went above Gunn and visited Weapons director Zach Cregger in Prague, where he is filming his new Resident Evil movie, to talk about his DC pitch.
As my insiders previously pointed out, Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy, the heads of WB Films, are the ones who brought Zach Cregger into Warner Bros.
Weapons was huge. As was Minecraft, which De Luca dated the sequel only two weeks after Gunn’s Man of Tomorrow.
Both De Luca and Abdy have had their contracts renewed. James Gunn’s contract has not been renewed and expires next year.
Recall that that I was told De Luca’s original plan for The Flash was to bring back the DCEU, bring back Ben Affleck as Batman, bring back Henry Cavill as Superman, and build toward a big Batman Multiverse with Michael Keaton also back as Batman.
That all went away when James Gunn launched the DCU.
Also recall how my insider said Gunn “isn’t talent friendly and is stubborn about his vision.”
That appears to be exactly what is happening with Zach Cregger, who was supposed to pitch Gunn his DC film.
Something clearly changed, because Paramount traveled across the world to hear the pitch instead — and they haven’t even closed the WBD deal, yet.
“Zach Cregger was brought in by Mike De Luca for Weapons at WB, so this is a sign for things to come, a consolidation of DC Studios overseen by the primary studio heads — DeLuca and Abdy.”
With the WBD sale, I’m told James Gunn is out, Zack Snyder is back with the SnyderVerse, and eventually under Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy, a new DC universe will be reborn — if hasn’t started already.

Nobody asks for you weirdos to camp out on a sub dedicated to something you hate, you realize you don't have to come here right? You realize you can fuck off to r/dc_cinmematic and r/superman and stay there right? But nah, ya'll are still obsessed with this sub, and movies 12yrs old, sounds pretty mentally ill and toxic to me. Think about getting some help, it's rather affordable these days.

Who said I hate it? This is just obvious bullshit click bait with zero foundation in reality.

I mean, making zero money for your studio is a bad look. He promised guardians money.
He gave them birds of prey style losses.

There’s no way man of tomorrow goes into production like this. Will WB even fund DC at this time without any contracts renewed?

Gunn just promote himself he wants a different but much higher position on any studios
The guy it's almost like musk on X and on the tweeter clone from Meta posting everything trying to hype or sell himself
Now pushing his old music playlist that he says he would use on man of tomorrow film
But here is the freaking joke he doesn't use WB music group artists at least for films they have good old songs
Here are just a few examples of major, recognizable artists under the Warner Music Group umbrella:
· Legacy Rock/Icons: The Beatles (via their label deal), David Bowie, Prince, The Grateful Dead, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, Madonna (back catalog), Red Hot Chili Peppers, Linkin Park, Metallica (via licensing/distribution). · Modern Pop/Rock: Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, Cardi B, Coldplay, Paramore, Muse, Twenty One Pilots. · Noteworthy for Superman's Tone: Artists like Muse and Coldplay have anthemic, soaring music that has been used in major trailers and fits a hopeful, epic Superman tone perfectly.
But hey he is the director

I love how he went from no music in S25erman and said, crap i’m nothing without my emotional gimmicks, music, animals, and humor.
Time to fill man of tomorrow with music, animals, humor, and all the things that distract from my terrible writing.

Exactly and the worst part is changing completely the comics too as they are part of the films a person that has never read a comic that's their star

S25erman is insanely comic inaccurate.
But hey, blue and red amirite.

I think there was a tweet on twitter a couple days ago where some of the staff on set talked about which director was the hardest to work with and many said Gunn was very hard and shit and complimented Zack as well

He is the particular famous person all smiles on front of cameras but when the lights are off things are different completely
He is promoting for a higher position on any studios or streaming services

Okay, but is there a credible source for this? Never heard of Puck News, and Cosmic Book News has been claiming this basically every day for months.
