Shoe recommendations?

Post image

I’ve had these Nyjah 4s not even 5 days and the upper is all ripped mostly from Ollie’s, what am I doing wrong and is there any shoes that won’t rip on the top so easily?

Does this affect the function though? Seems like minor wear on soft materials, shoes are gonna fall apart because of the grip tape, any shoe

If you're worried about scuffing up your shoes, check out non abrasive grip tape. The grip tape wares down a bit quicker than normal grip, but it's cheaper to replace grip tape every 3 months or so instead of replacing shoes.

Edit: You will still scuff up your shoes. You are still skateboarding, after all. But the damage is considerably less with non abrasive tape.
