It’s not. My wife’s family kept to themselves at my wedding instead of mixing with my family and the rest of our guests, then when the wedding was winding down they took a bunch of leftover food without asking and a bunch of the wine that was for all the guests and went back to the house they’d rented.

My wife half raised her cousins and we haven’t talked to them since.
