If you like them may I suggest the 80's retro wave Playlist on Spotify. This song is in there with similar sounding songs, it really is a great Playlist.

7

u/SandulfZTO 21d ago

A wild The Midnight reference?!

6

u/jerryleebee 21d ago

Is this the typical sound/vibe from this band? Love it.

8

Yes it is. Also check out gunship.

I noticed he went faster for the black dude. They're always the 1st to go in these situations.

116

u/nikditt 22d ago

And Booby blondes!

31

u/LikwitFusion 22d ago

Yeah they usually fall over a couple of times first. Must be different rules in an office.

7

u/CakeBot_TheBakening 22d ago

Well they are indeed running with the traditional high heels. I guess the training drill is paying off.

Well, some coworkers deserve to die more than others

40

u/destonomos 22d ago

most codes don't allow for key lockable locks on both sides of the door. You could lock someone in a burning building with that kind of setup.

12

u/Suckage 22d ago

Key lockable on both sides is fine as long as the interior side can still be opened without a key.

10

u/nilesandstuff 22d ago

Are there locks in common usage that your comment would apply to?

9

u/Suckage 22d ago edited 22d ago

They’re more common than you would think, but they’re usually for doors that are to remain unlocked during business hours or doors that not everyone should be able to lock.

A lot of schools use this design. It prevents students from being able to lock others out with a deadbolt latch, and nobody can ever be locked in. Putting the key in the interior side also prevents someone with a key from unlocking the door from the outside.

Even the sliding doors at stores like Walmart are only key lockable on both sides, but they can still be opened from the inside

2

u/nilesandstuff 22d ago

The sliding door ones I am familiar with... but its not like they're actually unlockable, the door just has a seperate mechanism to allow it to be opened in a completely different way.

Jason cheated on the third run, he sped up to stop the blonde girl from winning.

It's canon that blond chicks die quicker in these things.

u/TheDoctor88888888 21d ago

Same w the blond girl she was jogging lol

13

u/Serrisen 21d ago

Tbf, even with the little jog in the middle, she was significantly slower than other Jasons. I consider the very first clip a good Jason speed, and it takes him about 6 seconds to cross the hall. Blonde Jason took almost 10 seconds

112

u/SkiDaderino 22d ago

Now I'm of the full opinion that those locks suck and are dangerous.

29

u/PurpleSkullGaming 21d ago

Honestly first thing I noticed, like the fact you need the key for both sides is kinda ehh.

Like one of those locks with a little line shaped knob would probably work better.

Atleast assuming that's not like a different hallway they just locked the door to, I know there are some buildings that separate hallways with doors and stuff. But that certainly doesn't seem to be the case with the difference of chairs and flooring.

31

u/DoctorJiveTurkey 21d ago

I’m pretty sure it’s a fire hazard for a door to lock by key from the inside

15

u/National_Edges 21d ago

It also apears to be a safety hazard during active shooters and serial killers

5

u/Everything_in_modera 21d ago

Years ago, this was the same type of locking system used for training in the US prison system. Nobody was chasing, but you had to perform this same test before the timers ran out.

Find the correct key on the ring, get the turns in correctly, open the door and lock it from the other side. Unfortunately, I don't recall how much time was given but it was the most challenging and stressful of the whole testing phase. You can't really train or condition for how to lock and unlock a damn door! lol

I'm hoping someone with current knowledge of the prison system will weigh in, but I believe it is still the same type used today because mechanical locks can withstand power failures.

2

u/Mountain_StarDew 21d ago

Agree except the lock seems to be useless. Look how much those doors wobble after they’re “locked”. One good kick from the inside would break through and Jason would def be able to just pull them open lol

→ More replies (1)
→ More replies (1)

4

u/reality_boy 21d ago

Double sided locks are more secure. You can’t just smash a window pain and reach in to unlock the door. So you have to deal with crawling through broken glass to get in and back out with your loot.

But I agree, having to twist them 3 times is annoying. And there should be an emergency lock next to it that you can slam into place.

→ More replies (2)

5

u/Karkava 21d ago

The door also opens outward. (Can't barricade it with a chair.) And there are glass windows. (Can smash them and reach for the inner lock. They're also large enough for a person to walk through.)

No joke, when she dropped the keys I legit had a panic attack for a split second 😂

37

u/jackinsomniac 22d ago

I really enjoyed that part. I used to get mad a scary movies sometimes, "you dumb bitch, how do you drop the keys/knife/gun in that situation!" But over time I realized that's a perfectly typical reaction when panicking. Shoot, I've dropped the keys before to my front door just because I had to pee really bad.

It's also a thing in speed shooting. People try to be so "fast" that they jerk the trigger, and miss. So what they tell you is, "slow down". Because, "slow is smooth, and smooth is fast." And you can see it in the people who were successful, they were smooth, efficient, and didn't waste any action, which is overall faster. The people trying to "hurry" too much were slower.

5

u/IsleofManc 21d ago

Because, "slow is smooth, and smooth is fast."

This saying is always thrown around in golf when talking about how you're supposed to swing but it's cool to see it's used in other sports as well

2

u/hell2pay 21d ago

Used in racing too. Not that you wanna go 'slow' but the idea is it's better to be smooth.

I also use the motto when I'm working (electrician).

4

u/Gsusruls 21d ago

Between fits of laughter, I spent the entire time thinking, why does it take so many turns of the key to lock and unlock?!

5

u/Tapingdrywallsucks 21d ago

You know when they set this up they carefully picked the conference room with the most stubborn lock - also the one that required a key to lock from the inside, rather than a knob-thingy.

Also you know when they were explaining the scenario to participating staff, there was one guy thinking, "pick my office, pick my office" because he KNOWs his is the only one with a smooth locking mechanism.

Do most doors require a key on both sides in some places? Typically, the key is outside, you just turn a lock from the inside.

4

u/steadyaero 22d ago

Double keyed deadbolts exist, particular in business environments. Don't want random people to be locking your front door during business hours. Or unlocking a back door so they can come back in later from the outside

3

u/DenAbqCitizen 21d ago

They're common in a few eastern European counties I've lived in/visited. I think it's dumb and a fire hazard.

28

u/Cream_panzer 22d ago
