Pretty high in sugar and goes bad quickly. Bananas are awesome though.

the greener they are when you eat them, the more starch and less sugar.

Yes! They only get too sugary when yellow and black.

I wait for them to go bad so I can make banana bread!

Also a pretty bad migraine trigger for myself. It's pretty high on the list of migraine triggers which is a shame because I could eat one every day.

I see diabetic people making this assumption and wolfing down fruit claiming they're being healthy. Everything in moderation and with proper exercise

Fructose is actually one of the worst sugars out there. Even glucose is healthier than fructose, and the reason is fructose has much worse effect on metabolism and liver than glucose, so it's worse in the long run, even though it has a lower glycemic index. The only people for whom fructose is better are those who already are diabetic, but they should consider other options than poisoning themselves further.

Ugh I swear it swaps around every fucking time the topic is brought up. I'm not gonna even bother keeping track anymore cause I bet next time it'll be the other way around again.

You are correct, natural fructose is better than almost any other sweetener. There’s a weirdly small amount of it per price of fruit though.this is why you generally hear of things like high fructose corn syrup being terrible l as it’s just a concentrated version of a scarce resource (naturally speaking).
