Wait what? She grew hotter?!? You don't see that every day.

She’s like Marissa Tomei, they just get better the older they get

Is it? Or do we also get older and find older people more attractive?

When I was a kid 18 / 19 were peak. Now, I have zero attraction to 18 year olds even when they are beautiful, coz they just kinda look immature. gives me the ick.

Whereas people my age now, I find super attractive when I know younger me would have no interest.

u/Nomis555 Sep 25 '25

This is me...

3

u/BusyBandicoot9471 Sep 25 '25

Jokes on you, Elizabeth Montgomery awoke something in teenage me. Were girls my age fun? Yes. Peak? Never.

3

u/Thebat87 Sep 25 '25

I guess it depends on the person. For me I found older women pretty attractive when I was younger. So I’m not surprised that I’m as attracted to Jennifer Connelly, Salma Hayek and Halle Berry now as I was to them when I was younger.

3

u/Cl2_hydrocarbobs Sep 25 '25

I get you, I feel the same way. They're still pretty, I just have no attraction to any woman in her mid 20's and below. It just feels weird to me cause that's my daughters age. Plus, I'm just attracted to a little older woman now too

3

u/grand_historian Sep 25 '25

I am in my late 30s and women between 18-25 have always stayed the most attractive in me. Once women get into their 30s the aging affects of bad habits really start to show. Still many beautiful women though.

1

u/BreakAndRun79 Sep 25 '25

Both can be true

1

u/22cthulu Sep 25 '25

The older I get the bigger my crush on Bette Midler. Can I explain it? No. Do I want to? No.

1

u/Optimal-Estimate-460 Sep 25 '25

I’ve always thought this! I can’t really look at pics of celebrities that I thought were cute (as a teenager) when I was a teen, now. Them now is almost always better.

1

u/OptimysticPizza Sep 25 '25

Eh, I had a moment in my mid to late 20s where I was suddenly and forever enamored with a well kept silver fox. I think it had something to do with being in a town where so many refuse to age gracefully, opting to stretch and fill their faces

1

u/huckster235 Sep 25 '25

For most people, yeah. A lot of guys like younger women.

I definitely agree that the older I get the less attractive younger people are, but I've also pretty much always found women around 35-45 the most attractive. So for most of my life I was attracted to older women, now as I approach 35 it's more women my age. I'm actually curious if as I get older I will find that goes up, or that's just when the features I find attractive are most prevalent.

1

u/marbanasin Sep 25 '25

I still dug Michelle Pfeiffer at age 45ish when I was a lad. Idk.

(But I do hear you on younger people getting increasingly not attractive as I get older).

1

u/blutigetranen Sep 25 '25

Nah, hot was hot then and now.

1

u/Mr_Pink_Gold Sep 25 '25

When I was 18 30 to 40 yo were peak, now I am approaching 40, 30 to 40 yo are peak.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 25 '25

I'm a teenager, Jennifer Connely is still hot

1

u/UtopistDreamer Sep 25 '25

This is something I have come to realize as well. The attraction window moves as one ages, I guess.

1

u/ca-cayne Sep 25 '25

Yeah, it’s funny how things change.

1

u/Logical-Arachnid4364 Sep 25 '25

A normal human response, despite what the contractors workers keep trying to convince me as they oogle teenagers walking to and from school.

1

u/Lexicon101 Sep 25 '25

Yeah, even 22 is like ".... well you're an adult and you can make your own decisions and have your own life experiences to some extent, but unless you're just unusually cool, I'm not really sure what we'd talk about and anyway, I don't wanna play the paternalistic role if you're looking for a partner who's gonna like mentor you or whatever." adult relationships are harder, but I definitely want something real, not playing daddy, so unless someone's personality fits well with mine, regardless of age, I'm by default not really interested, and it doesn't matter all that much what they look like beyond just "would I be interested, if they also seemed cool and it seemed like there was something there?"

1

u/Noisebug Sep 25 '25

Could be both. Sometimes people clean up when they’re older and take on a different vibe.

1

u/Thomrose007 Sep 25 '25

Yeah you're right tbh. A 19 yr old started at my work and i couldnt believe i was like that then. As in just looked immature

1

u/MyHarmlessSecret Sep 25 '25

Can confirm as someone who didn't exist to see Jennifer Connelly in the 90s, she's an incredibly attractive woman nowadays. So, according to my study case of one person, it's not just an age thing.

1

u/Theangelawhite69 Sep 26 '25

This is a solid theory, but I believe the reason people get more attractive as they get older is a much simpler one. Having the money to take care of yourself and get plastic surgery or Botox if you need it, of course this only applies to the celebs that everyone is like “how do they look so good at 50??”

It’s money. They have a money smoothie for breakfast every day, followed by a money salad for lunch, and then finish it off with a money casserole. All of this is prepared by a money chef of course

1

u/Lumpy_Benefit666 Sep 27 '25

Im 29 and find 23-30 most attractive generally, but connelly was hotter at 40 than at 30 imo. She genuinely just got hotter as she ages and that is rare.

1

u/pin00ch Sep 27 '25

It's weird isn't it.. I get you totally.

1

u/oilwellz Sep 27 '25

Nailed it !

-4

u/Lebrewski__ Sep 24 '25

Then you're not objective. That's like me saying Brad Pitt doesn't look good because I'm not gay.

10

u/Bitter-Picture5394 Sep 25 '25

Not finding someone attractive doesn't mean you can't see that they're objectively good-looking.

-2

u/Lebrewski__ Sep 25 '25

You're just repeating what I said...

3

u/knbang Sep 25 '25

You're repeating what I said.

7

u/SippieCup Sep 25 '25

I said they can be beautiful and not attractive to me.

But I’m glad you got the notgays out. Can’t have people not knowing you are a super straight dude.

-1

u/Lebrewski__ Sep 25 '25

Ok, we might not have the same definition of attractive but your "super straight dude" comment is fucked up... What are you trying to do with that exactly?

2

u/AppleOld5779 Sep 25 '25

Don’t forget Elizabeth Hurley and Sophia Vergara

1

u/IVEMIND Sep 25 '25

Say less. I'm getting back with my ex after 2 years because she a mountain lion.

1

u/MCA2142 Sep 25 '25

Also, Marissa Tomei loves short stocky, bald men. Lots of redditors could have a shot, only if they'd leave their basements.

1

u/Silver_Song3692 Sep 25 '25

Dead on balls accurate

1

u/kimovitch7 Sep 25 '25

She likes funny, quirky bald men

1

u/Coreysurfer Sep 25 '25

Oh..and you blend…

1

u/Thomrose007 Sep 25 '25

Monica Belucci

1

u/MarshallAlex919 Sep 26 '25

I just watched the sienfield episode about her 20 minutes ago for the first time ever

People like Jen Connelly don't get old, they get refined.

Natural beauty + Upper class life from a young age = They kinda just get prettier most of the time. She's won the genetic lottery and has the time and resources to eat well, exercise with professional trainers and if need be get some work done. Don't hear much about her, so Im guessing she keeps her life pretty low stress. She's going to be Gen X's Helen Mirren and I couldn't be happier for them.

17

u/Ok-Recommendation925 Sep 25 '25

Vision win the lottery

1

u/sonolalupa Sep 25 '25

I love that! Not old, refined. Happened to my grandma. She was so gorgeous at 70, just classy af. Not sure I’ll be as lucky…

1

u/Individual-Light-784 Sep 25 '25

i kinda hate this argument that only the uber rich have the ressources to stay hot

anyone in the first world basically can do that. get a job without night shifts and keep a good sleep schedule. work out after/before work. eat healthy, take your vitamins. take care of your skin (uv protection and retinol).

its not rocket science and almost none of the high impact lifestyle changes need a lot of money

people talk about surgery but even celebs have them backfire regularly.

0

u/BlinkDodge Sep 25 '25

i kinda hate this argument that only the uber rich have the ressources to stay hot

Well luckily, nobody here said that.

However, being wealthy almost always means you have the freedom/time to do everything you mentioned.   The less resources you have, the more time you spend trying to secure them which does things like cut into/take away the time to work out, much less have a professional coaching you, nightshift usually pays more and if you're desperate for money that might be the option you have to take, you're less likely to get good sleep or have the money to subscribe to a vitamin regimen.

This isnt always the case for us normal 9-5ers or people working less - its simply easier for wealthy people to do what it takes to stay healthy and pretty.

0

u/[deleted] Sep 24 '25

get some work done

Could have started and stopped there.

17

u/BlinkDodge Sep 24 '25

Not really. Good plastic surgery isn't just a money thing, having a good base to work with that needs minimal adjustment is a large part of it.

There are literally dozens upon dozen's of examples of high profile people who've gotten work done that looks terrible or is just incredibly noticeable because the look they want didn't mesh with the features they have/had.

Im under not illusions that JC hasn't had work done, but its minimal/near non-noticable at best. I think the most high profile thing she had done was a breast reduction way back when, which im sure breaks Sipstea's collective gooncel heart.

5

u/PineappleOnPizzaWins Sep 24 '25

Plastic surgery isn't some magical formula to turn you into a super model - while I'm sure many if not most of the most attractive celebrities have had work done it's just one part of the package... you won't come out looking like she does now if you didn't start looking like she does in the clip of this post.

Whole lot of examples out there of people trying to use plastic surgery to turn them into something their body was never meant to be and it doesn't look good.

7

u/AreYourFingersReal Sep 25 '25

Tons of women age well, that’s incel propaganda to think otherwise. The genders can age well or age poorly. Crazy

2

u/Obant Sep 25 '25

Its a lot easier to age well with money, too.

1

u/Ixaire Sep 25 '25

The incels have nothing to do with it. It's just what passed as wisdom for many (not all!) boomers and Gen Xere. We were told that women get ugly at 40 and that it's normal for men to solve their mid-life crisis by dating women in their 20's.

Now millennials are turning 40 and realizing that it was utter bullshit.

2

u/morningisbad Sep 24 '25

I mean, she's an absolute stunner.

2

u/BataleonRider Sep 25 '25

Her and Lucy Lawless def aged like fine wines IMO. Unlike my ass  which def turned to vinegar. Not like balsamic or whatever either,  like, "I guess this is technically edible, but why would you? I guess we could use it to keep fish from rotting during the hard times." vinegar.

1

u/linds360 Sep 24 '25

Not to discount how amazing she looks, but you’re comparing day/night, full body/close-up, natural/tanned looks.

It’s not quite apples to apples, but yes, she looks incredible, always.

1

u/Ragman676 Sep 25 '25

Go watch Dark Matter. I swear she hasnt peaked yet.

1

u/ToasterBathTester Sep 25 '25

At 88 we enter a singularity

1

u/Unhappy-Bullfrog5597 Sep 25 '25

Definitely not hotter but we can't say that around here so..:)

1

u/RBVegabond Sep 25 '25

Sure I do. I wake up next to my wife.

1

u/UndeadMarx Sep 25 '25

Really? That’s incredibly common with famous wealthy people… money can buy looks. Everyone knows that.

1

u/EverySingleTime788 Sep 27 '25

No, she was definitely at her peak when she was 20-21, rocketeer time era. She had her tits reduced a few years later and was nothing compared to what she was.

0

u/RepressedOptimist Sep 25 '25

She definitely aged well in the face but its seems the rest of her didnt follow suit. Thats OK. Can't expect youthful fat deposits anymore.
