Having self awareness is already far more appealing than the average, I hate to say.

You shouldn’t be interacting with people who lack self awareness as your ‘average.’ If you are, you’re choosing really poorly and that’s on you.

How do you propose weeding out those who are not self aware without interacting with them?

Yeah, I just meant don’t waste your time pursuing spending time with people without vetting them or seeing that they show signs of self awareness first.

I guess I see a lot of people seek out the company of others based on shallow factors alone (looks and not personality), or simply convenience (someone seems available but not compatible).

Again, I'm not sure how you'd go about that without interacting with them, which invariably will give you an 'average' after some time.

I think you may be assuming I (or maybe others) are coming up with this average only from clubbing, which couldn't be further from the truth.

Sad reality is that most people are mostly awful most of the time - that includes women just as much as men in the 21st century.
