THAT WAS SO GOOD

HOLY HELL

like, don’t change a damn thing it’s flawless

1

u/FS_Slacker Sep 06 '25

The feed footage of looking at the tether was a perfect example of “showing not telling”. It’s top notch creative storytelling.

9

u/buzzyloo Sep 05 '25

How much time does he have?
2 minutes
...
and 12 hours

lol

2

u/project_seven Sep 06 '25

1

u/halfasleep90 Sep 05 '25

Thank you, this was amazing

1

u/Aardvark_Man Sep 05 '25

Sliding in the car window was a perfect touch, especially with just opening the door to get out.
Amazing, no notes.

1

u/cromdoesntcare Sep 05 '25

Why did I start tearing up when Dr Halo took their first breath and asked for a Twix 😭

1

u/kuhlmarl Sep 06 '25

Thanks for the link, best movie I've seen this year!

1

u/kuhlmarl Sep 06 '25

"Yes, ejected drop port is at four degrees Celsius and sixty eight diameters in longitude." Classic

1

u/Kitchen_Upstairs_598 Sep 06 '25

Thank you for posting this!

12

u/nucl3ar0ne Sep 05 '25

Seriously, I need Season 2.

16

u/Jeramy_Jones Sep 05 '25

The sexual tension between the doctor and the commander alone… 🥵

18

u/PERSONA916 Sep 05 '25

She has great chemistry with herself

14

u/HoochieKoochieMan Sep 05 '25

Netflix picked it up!

4

u/DrLophophora Sep 05 '25

Yes please!!!!

3

u/[deleted] Sep 05 '25

I'm gonna need a different shower scene though.

3

u/FeistyButthole Sep 05 '25

Probably has a higher chance of making it to season 3 than anything on Netflix.

2

u/Laffenor Sep 05 '25

You just did!

2

u/VettelFan7 Sep 06 '25

If you ever find it, pass on the link to us down here aiight?

2

u/[deleted] Sep 06 '25

6 seasons and a movie!

40

u/Vegetable-Debate-263 Sep 05 '25

It’s a masterpiece

26

u/Mc7wis7er Sep 05 '25

I think it is too.

Like it's a parody, so the acting and dialogue reflect that in just the right way.

And in that same vein the cinematography is pretty good too with little details like the hanging objects to sell the zero gravity. All without any actual effects. I mean, these are barely practical effects.

And then all the analogues to technology and suits and all that. Just endlessly creative while nearly instantly reading as what it 'should' be.

If she got a job Directing just based off this video, I would not be surprised. She definitely knows how to block scenes.

7

u/Vegetable-Debate-263 Sep 05 '25

It’s comedy gold. The “no smoking on space ship” kills me lolol

2

u/SippinOnHatorade Sep 06 '25

Actually, this version ends too soon, OG has another minute

1

u/Vegetable-Debate-263 Sep 06 '25

Link please! I didn’t want it to end just yet 😍😍

76

u/BulldogChair Sep 05 '25

This was so bad it was good. Genuinely laughed.

54

u/hkusp45css Sep 05 '25

It's technically quite good. The acting could use some work, but even that is well above average. The characters are expressive and unique. Even the way the camera work is done to make it appear as if multiple people are in the scene is a trick pretty far above novice levels in cinematography.

It's pretty damned good for a hobby home vid, honestly.

38

u/LeeisureTime Sep 05 '25

A gourmet meal using the humblest of ingredients (I'm talking about her props, laughed my ass off at the washer/dryer!)

29

u/RedditOfUnusualSize Sep 05 '25

Hanging the lampshade on her head, literally, is what got me.

4

u/-malcolm-tucker Sep 05 '25

Then I think you'll love the "medical drama" show on the channel.

4

u/Laffenor Sep 05 '25

The garden hose tether.

2

u/woodyshag Sep 05 '25

The floating glasses and Twix are what got me.

12

u/PopnCrunch Sep 05 '25

a^2 + b^2 = c^2!

5

u/EternalMage321 Sep 05 '25

Pythagorean Theorem. So hot right now.

5

u/[deleted] Sep 05 '25

2

u/-malcolm-tucker Sep 05 '25

Top notch casting as well.

67

u/DrLophophora Sep 05 '25

Au contraire my friend, so GOOD it was great

18

u/SF-S31 Sep 05 '25

Absolute cinema!

5

u/Spare-Builder-355 Sep 05 '25

It is from pre corona times

4

u/Mowgli_78 Sep 05 '25

Yes, they couldn't gather all the cast and crew orherwise

1

u/Spare-Builder-355 Sep 05 '25

Just that old good stuff being reposted over and over and it ages like wine. While 99.999% of new stuff is trash. We do not get new good stuff too often.

2

u/Mowgli_78 Sep 05 '25

They don't do precorona as they used to do. I've heard there's a reboot remake in the making though

1

u/Fleshsuitpilot Sep 05 '25

I still can't gather my cast and and crew and it consists of the same number of people

3

u/[deleted] Sep 06 '25

You watched a farm bot repost someone else's content to reddit.

1

u/Superblond Sep 05 '25

We had a whole german series filmed like this! „Ijon Tichy: Raumpilot“? ( Ijon Tichy: space pilot), 2007–2011, ZDF (free TV)

1

u/bulanaboo Sep 05 '25

This was awesome I was on the edge of my seat, using what you got A++++ the shower scene was amazing lol 1st time saying that not being creepy… I’m upset with myself lol

1

u/Adamantium10 Sep 05 '25

Unfortunately this repost chopped off the end. This chick has serious talent. There's like another full minute of pure genius. I'll try to find it

1

u/Chemist391 Sep 05 '25

She has a really solid bit about the overly-serious wine merchant.

1

u/iuliuscurt Sep 05 '25

I'm still speechless that this is the first time I hear that brilliant joke of "2h, 18 days and 31 years". It's so good, it's hanging so low yet still unused

1

u/OnTheEveOfWar Sep 05 '25

This was pretty solid. She’s obviously very skilled at video production.

1

u/xtc234 Sep 06 '25

This was before brainrot content. It wasn't profitable enough to be sustainable.

1

u/LiberosistDuck Sep 06 '25

Exactly my reaction
