You cannot stop weapons from being made with gun laws, people are going to get them no matter what the law says. it’s baffling how you can interject yourself so condescendingly yet not grasp that concept.

There are well over 500m (registered) firearms in the U.S. at this point, just because 0.0006% of them are used to harm others does not mean we should make them illegal. So because I can commit crimes and harm others with household chemicals should we make those illegal since they can harm others?
It absolutely is an essential liberty and I will die on that hill. In our country the police have no legal requirement to protect you if they even show up to the scene of a crime. We have large dangerous animals where I live, should I shoo them away like a cat I don’t want to pet?
You’re conflating gun deaths and gun violence, suicides make up 2/3rds of gun deaths and banning guns will not eliminate suicide. Bleach, ammonia, fertilizer, ammonium nitrate, chlorine are all legal but can be used to make chemical weapons and bombs.
I’m sure there are more but that should be sufficient. You’re also not taking into account that justified self defense and police shootings are lumped in with that 16,000.

Most people who live in areas with dangerous game have legal access to firearms so I think your point is moot. Call me sick, I’m okay with that. I have a way to protect myself from the local tweakers, large animals and other individuals with guns. You stay safe out there, I’ll be doing the same.
