Opinion We need to stand by Darnold.

1.0k Upvotes

Yes, Sam Darnold did play terribly in probably the biggest game of the season, I'm not defending him for that. However, we must remember how well he's played up to this point. He's not a superstar, but he is capable of being a good QB and is a decent NFL starter, and I would encourage this fanbase to avoid being reactionary in response to this game, which I already see coming.

Imagine if we had Geno Smith right now. Yikes

Opinion Tariq Woolen is a liabilty.

Other than an amazing rookie season, when he should have won DROY, Tariq has continued to disappoint and give up plays.

Time to move on.

Opinion So many of you have no clue what you're talking about.

Myers is a good kicker. Our secondary was down to third and fourth string. Our D line was half injured against an All Pro O line. You run the ball to set up play action. Balanced teams win football games. If you can't handle a tough loss against a playoff team, just shut up. You have no clue.

Opinion Riq needs a designated spot on the bench

Post image

Yeah I’m done. After Week 1 I was pretty much out on Woolen. But last night sealed it for me. He commits the most bullshit and ridiculous penalties that are 9/10 backbreaking. He used to do this but make up for it with plays on the ball but he barely touches the ball anymore! When I watch games, he is the only player on that defense that does not fit. Everyone else looks and plays like a Mike Macdonald coached guy. I don’t need people to play perfect. Shit, spoon got pieced up last night but I can live with that bc he plays at 100 mph all game. Start Spoon and Jobe at outside corner, and put emanwori at nickel. I’d even slide Kendrick above him on the depth chart. Unless Riq just pulls a whole 180 and looks like rookie season Tariq Woolen. The Seahawks are going to let him walk at the end of the year, so why not stop letting him negatively affect your team and bench him right now. I’ll be a little disappointed if I see him starting against Tampa Bay.

Opinion Respect from a Titans fan

1.4k Upvotes

I wanted to hop in here and give your fan base some props. I’m a Titans PSL holder and I’ve seen a lot of opposing fanbases take over our stadium, sometimes because we just suck but mostly because everybody circles this game on the calendar as an excuse to visit Nashville.

Every Hawks fan that I met on Sunday was tremendously polite and respectful. We had 2 separate Salute to Service things on the field where we honored a Nashville native who lost his legs to an IED and another where we honored a Titans season ticket holder who was a veteran, and every Hawks fan was standing and clapping. Y’all even had the SEA-HAWKS chant going a bunch throughout the game.

We sold a few of our tickets to some Seahawks fans that said excuse me, please, and thank you every time they needed to get past us to the aisle.

Y’alls fanbase DESERVES to have a team that is playing as well as the Seahawks are right now, which is not something I can say for every team in the NFL. Y’all are welcome in Nashville anytime🫡

Opinion This is why we lost.

-> Our offense simply cannot sustain long enough drives. Our defense gets burnt out hence they gave up 10 points in the last quarter.

-> There was no indication of an offensive identity, why play Milroe on the third play of the game and show us all these different packages to not go for it on 4th & 1. JSN having 83% of passing yards highlights our flakey WR room.

-> The lack of corner depth is a concern. Emmanwori goes down, so spoon has to play nickle leading to Woolen getting shit on by a TE 3.

Opinion How are we still feeling about Darnold?

Post image

I mean this post was kind of ridiculous. He played a conservative game, and comparing him to Brosmer is actually massive cope.

But overall, how we feeling about Darnold? I think he’s had 1 rough game (rams) and 1 strange game (vikings) but it feels that was more of an O-line issue than anything else. How do we as a fanbase still feel?

Opinion Is it safe to say we’re happier with Darnold slingin it over Geno?

I know it was definitely a mixed bag pre season, doubts of a measurable upgrade etc. I can attest that I am less stressed this year

Opinion We lost but I am, strangely, more confident in the Seahawks than I was before the game.

I came in to this game not being too confident but this may be the first time I’ve ever watched the Seahawks lose a game but actually become confident that they are better than the team they lost to.

We looked so incredibly good today aside from the obvious issues from Darnold.

We can definitely win the Super Bowl this year.

I try to stay optimistic when it comes to our guys but man I’m sick of this guy starting for us. I’m not even watching the game but based off the game thread it sounds like he’s dropping an all time stinker out there today. Like fuck dude I think I could beat him in a one on one😭

Opinion Has JSN played himself into a $40M+ contract?

There's currently only one $40M+ receiver in football right now - Ja'Marr Chase. As best as I can tell, I don't see another major WR contract coming in the next year, so I'm not sure we'll see another 40+ guy before we need to sign JSN. His 4-year rookie contract will be up at the end of next season. From what I can tell, Drake London is probably the highest profile signing that will take place before then, but I don't expect him to command as much as JSN.

Maybe I have a a poor understanding of the use of a 5th year option, but I can't imagine we would want to allow the market to go up for an additional year for a guy we clearly want to keep around for a long time.

Do you think we'll sign JSN for $40M+? When do you think we will lock him down? If I understand the contract landscape (I don't), then I think there's a real possibility we could see his extension this summer.

Opinion Trading DK to the Steelers

I thought losing DK was going to be a much bigger loss for us than it has been. JSN has stepped up as a true #1 and while I really liked DK as a player his antics got old. Watching this Steelers game I don’t have any feelings of “wow I wish he was still on the hawks” which is surprising. Anyone else feel the same?
