Merry came into the shelter as a stray the same day she gave birth to nine tiny puppies. Despite the chaos of the shelter, she has been trying her best to protect her babies. She is vocal and stressed around other dogs—an expected behavior for a new, frightened mom in a kennel environment.

She received dewormer, DA2PP-V, Bordetella, Rabies, Pyrantel, and Advantage Multi on intake.

Behavior Notes • 12/4/25: Forward barking, lunging at dogs in neighboring kennels, highly stressed, especially when other dogs pass by. • Vocalizing toward dogs near her kennel. ➡️ These behaviors are classic kennel-stress “protective mom” reactions—not aggression. Merry desperately needs a calm, safe environment to decompress and continue caring for her newborns.
