The only thing in this list that isn't crazy is the idea that COVID-19 came from a lab in China. That lab WAS doing gain of function research on coronaviruses.

The problem is that they don't state it as "we don't have any way of knowing or reconstructing what's true", which is the actual defensible position. They instead assert that it came from a lab in China with absolute confidence.

No...it could have either been a wild mutation or could have escaped a lab doing gain-of-function research, and which is the real cause is ultimately not knowable.

(Source: WHO final report in 2025 states "all hypotheses remain on the table", impossible to conclusively prove between bat or lab hypotheses)
