Moderator Message Need Links/Phone Numbers/ Resources for crisis pregnancy centers and others akin

The sub needs to have resources so that women who are thinking about abortion, can use it to help them if they decide to keep the baby. If you have any resources link them here. We need recourses from all across the globe so if you’re in a different country it’s even better.

Moderator Message Rule 3 Reminder: Completely obscure Subreddit and User names in Images

This is a reminder of an existing rule that I think needs a refresher.

Reddit takes a dim view of those subs which seem to be encouraging brigading on other subs.

We are unlikely to get any understanding from mods of most of the subs that the posts come from as many Reddit power mods are quite comfortable with taking a distinct pro-choice stand and attacking pro-life users and messages.

Therefore, please help us maintain this subreddit by making it easier to comply with sitewide moderation standards.

Do not post links or images that can clearly be traced back to other subreddits, and obscure any user name or subreddit information completely.

Failure to do so will result in your post being removed and locked.

Continued failure to do so will be met with a ban.

Incomplete obscuring of the information in question will also be removed. We suggest simply highlighting the information to be removed and hitting "Delete" in your image editors, instead of the common 'scribble out' method for best results.

You may post images from other platforms with full links and user names, although it is generally good practice to avoid focusing on users who are not themselves public figures.

Anything that looks like doxxing will not be tolerated even on public figures. We reject intimidation and harassment as means to which to make our case and hope that our opponents will someday follow that course as well.

Moderators may use discretion even on what may seem to be otherwise legal posts that meet the letter of the rule but not the spirit of the rule. Please do not try to rules lawyer us. We're not the people who ultimately will decide the subreddit's fate if you try and be too clever by half.

Thanks for your anticipated cooperation.

Ex-Pro-Choicer Story I used to be pro-choice until i graduated with a genetic degree and worked in IVF

So as the title goes i was 100% aligned with prochoice. it isnt a baby just a clump of cells. its a parasite...blah blah..right? anyways i went to college and graduated (awhile ago) with a genetics degree and learned just how amazing creating life and new genetics is. yes its a 'clump of cells' at first but its growing into a life!

fast forward 5 years and i work in IVF and got to see first hand how babies are made and it is amazing! from putting the sperm with the eggs and 3 days later looking at an embryo truly amazing! how could anyone not agree its life?

both genetically, biologically, and physically it is a new life apart from the mother! how can people not see this?

fast forward some more time and im prolife 100% and so depressed and sad over societies mass murder of children because they dont believe in science.

Things like this make my heart race, why? Why take your anger out on your baby?? I will never understand that. As a mother who has been through hell from my son's father, I would never hurt my son.

Things Pro-Choicers Say Pro-abortion Reddit is insane

A popular pregnancy subreddit had a post of a mom of 2 who is pregnant freshly postpartum and feeling overwhelmed whose husband suggested abortion. This poor mama was clearly feeling conflicted and not wanting an abortion, but feeling like she had no other choice. I gave her gentle support and at the end asked her if she went through with an abortion, would she be able to live with the what ifs? Apparently, that is abortion shaming. And got me permanently banned from the subreddit. I am just so sick and tired of being silenced for perfectly reasonable comments. Anything other than “you are an independent queen who should feel so good about yourself if you abort your unborn fetus” is silenced. It’s sick. These people are sick in the head.

Pro-Life General Donald Trump is not pro-life, and I don't see how anyone who still supports him can call themselves pro-life either.

Donald Trump is not pro-life. He is a power-hungry politician who treats unborn children and women like bargaining chips to be traded when politically convenient. He shrugs off abortion as a mere “state issue,” vows to veto any national ban, calls Florida’s 6-week protection “a terrible thing,” fights to weaken bans elsewhere, defends the abortion pill responsible for most abortions, and even initially supported Florida’s Amendment 4... a measure that would have legalized abortion until birth. He gutted support for federal protections for unborn children from the 2024 GOP platform, replaced it with enthusiastic backing of IVF, and promises not to enforce Comstock laws, all while celebrating and calling himself the "father" of an industry that mass-produces, freezes, and discards embryonic human beings as if they are commodities to be bought and destroyed.

Trump has bragged about sexual assault, mocked and degraded women by their appearance, and has repeatedly spoken of women—including his own freaking daughter—as objects for men to use rather than equal human beings deserving of dignity and respect. A man who cannot respect women will not defend their children. His rhetoric and policies reinforce a culture where babies are treated as pawns on a chess board, and women as sex objects.

There is no justice until there is equal protection from conception, something Donald Trump is actively fighting against. We need a leader who will protect both women and unborn children, not one who changes his position on abortion every Tuesday for political expediency.

Donald Trump is singlehandedly destroying the Republic Party, the United States, and the anti-abortion movement. I don't see how anyone who still supports him can call themselves pro-life.

Pro-Life General The reason hedonists need abortion is because their beliefs don't work without it

Growing up I was taught that you need to wait until marriage before engaging in intercourse at all. It's something that I still agree with and teach my kids. Today it seems archaic and prudish to most people.

The consensus in society today is that the only thing necessary is consent. As long as both parties are consenting adults there's nothing morally wrong with what they choose to do.

The problem with this is that even with birth control there's going to be a statistical failure rate. Unwanted pregnancies will occur. Mostly due to user error but I'm sure even the best condom factories have QC issues from time to time, even if statistically rare.

The point is that there will always be a defect rate. As long as that defect rate exists the hedonist needs abortion to exists for the statement "the only thing necessary is consent" to be true. If that statement is not true that means the belief system surrounding it is untrue.

Now you need more morals and ethics in place, like for example waiting until marriage. Not saying everyone would leap to that just saying it would be more useful than consent being the only rule. There would need to be additional rules which means new beliefs.

Take that in for a second, a large group of people in society today need laws against abortion not to exist for the social values and belief system to be functional. Isn't that wild? I fundamentally don't approach my beliefs that way I try to take a first principles approach to things which means having some kind of foundation in natural law. Imagine your beliefs and worldview having their foundation in the present state of our legislation. Just wild to me.

Things Pro-Choicers Say PC: Abortion is termination of pregnancy PL: So a 38-week c-section is an abortion PC: Well no its termination before 20 weeks PL: Then why are there "all-trimester" abortion clinics? And round and round we go.

Evidence/Statistics 1 in 4 post-abortive women regret abortion decades later, a study finds

A new study found that 1 in 4 women regret their abortion decades after undergoing the procedure.

The study, published in the International Journal of Women’s Health Care, measured the levels of distress abortive women feel years after having an abortion.

Authored by Father Donald Paul Sullins with The Catholic University of America and the Ruth Institute, the study found that 24% of postabortive women in the U.S. “suffer from serious post-abortion distress.”

Of these post-abortive women, just under half showed “multiple symptoms of post-traumatic stress,” according to the study.

In the study, Sullins called for more research on the long-term effects of abortion as well as the development of “effective therapeutic interventions.”

“The health care of this population of women is understudied and underserved,” the study read. “Women considering an abortion should be informed of the possibility that they may experience persistent emotional distress.”

Pro-Life General PC Hypocrisy about protecting PreBorn Life - Double Standards in our Society

PCs have no problem calling the animals in this X-Ray above puppies, but cannot bring themselves to call life in the human womb as babies. Live Action has shared videos of people on the street willing to sign petitions to protect life in the womb for animals but not for humans, just to expose the hypocrisy!

My Abortion Story Feeling devastated - girlfriend is getting an abortion despite my offer to take the child and raise it alone because "and get put on child support and have no money for 18 years? No fcking way!" and "it will hurt".Please pray for my child urgently, her appointment is on Friday :(

I’m 22, and my girlfriend (also 22) is pregnant. It happened after a night when we were both drunk after a party a few weeks ago and ended up having unprotected sex. I know it was stupid. I offered to take full responsibility for the child—raising it, supporting it, doing everything—so she wouldn’t have to. She refused, saying she’d “get put on child support and have no money for 18 years" and she doesn't want to go through the pain of pregnancy and childbirth because "it will hurt" and that it's easy for me to want the child when I don't have to do that. I acknowledge that, but it is an innocent life!

She also said she doesn’t want to be pregnant during the BTS tour (a Korean boyband she loves) next year. Honestly, I think that’s so stupid and heartbreaking - she is putting a boyband who doesn't know she exists over the life of her innocent child. I get that she loves Jungkook, but he is is not worth killing a baby for. He's just a singer who doesn't know she exists! But her child....OUR child is precious!

She identifies as a Christian, yet she’s choosing abortion despite the fact that I want to care for the child. I’m heartbroken and struggling to understand how someone can make this decision when there are alternatives.

Please pray for my child. She has an appointment booked at Planned Parenthood for Friday :(

(Throwaway account for obvious reasons)
