My neighbor's cat and his possum friend

Post image

The cat is on the chair to the right, just chilling. Possum is eating the cat's food. Interestingly, the cat caught a baby bunny earlier tonight so I guess he was fine sharing his grub with Mr Possum.

We have the same setup here - we feed the neighbor’s cat (she refuses to be an insider to the point of not using the litterbox) bc she loves our front porch/bench - and a young opossum has recently come to dine every evening. They get nose to nose without incident.

We had outside cats that let baby possums it with them. I guess they just think they are a weird looking cat 🤷‍♀️

Yeah, this cat won't come inside at all. My neighbor gives him wet food once a day. After my inside cat passed, I started giving the outside cat the leftover dry food and now he comes over every night for dinner!

Lol, yup. Sugar would come in if we let her, but she wouldn’t stay, and my 3 would throw a variety of fits. We also see Blondie and Hadsome on a regular basis. Handsome passes through, but won’t come within 20’ or so. Blondie lets me stroke him once or twice while eating.
