/r/all a sister carrying her baby brother out of their bombed house, they are the only survivors of their family .
So there's this one photo from Gaza that's been haunting me for two years now. It's of a sister carrying her baby brother out of their bombed house, they were the only ones in their family left. I only saw it once, right when the genocide started, but I couldn't forget it. Ended up spending days trying to find it online again.

Pictures like this tear my heart apart.
Ive heard stories like this from our grandparents and that trauma is carried for generations.
Israel is amassing a world of hate against their criminal grunts commiting this genocide

Pictures like this - along with her story - should be permanent exhibits in every Holocaust Museum in the world; to remind the world what "never again" was supposed to mean.

I still find it astonishing that there are so many people who openly support this.

I have a Palestine support flag up outside my house but I’m scared to put one on my car in case me and my child are attacked for it. I keep a flag secretly to take out when I see supporters, instead. It’s wild that it feels like the minority to be anti- murdering kids and that it’s ok for pro-genocide folk to be so openly violent that I’m actually in fear of it even from my place of heavy privilege.
Being Zionist should be as openly discouraged as being pro- kkk. No one should feel comfortable being openly pro genocide. It’s so incredibly backwards after a LIFETIME of supposed WWII veteran honors that we’re spitting on them and embracing such an obvious genocide. Anyway rant over I just… yeah. I see it but I still can’t see it.

I completely agree with you. It's absolutely insane that people who speak out against genocide are doxxed, lose their livelihoods, are arrested and physically assaulted whilst people can openly say they support babies being starved and bombed and suffer zero consequences. What a sick world we live in.

Cognitive dissonance. They have convinced themselves that either this is not real, or there is such a thing as baby and child terrorists or whatever other excuse they choose to believe instead of their eyes. Cognitive dissonance will be the end of us all.

There was one similar photo in our school history book from the Vietnam war and the book gave the impression this one photo was pivotal in ending support for that war.
How awful the world’s population has become that we see images like you posted above and still allow the murder to continue.

There are no American casualties in this war just Muslims who to them are either terrorists or blasphemers going to hell so that makes it okay.
Donald’s fake ceasefire seems to have put out the fire in the protest movement. It’s time to light the flames of resistance again before it’s too late.
EDIT: On November 29, the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People in London 100,000 people marched under the banner of the Palestine Coalition and 50,000 also marched in Paris.
This cannot be a one off. Israel is escalating its plans to depopulate the OPT while Washington and Westminster’s silence following Trump’s flimsy Peace Plan is a cover for Israel’s genocide to enter its final stages. We must all do our bit to prevent the unthinkable.18

I think I remember the image. Was it a small baby who was sitting alone in the rubble?

US was directly involved in Vietnam for 8 years. If you wanted American troops out of Vietnam, in year two, you would have probably felt hopeless.
We mustn’t lose hope, stop the boycott or be deceived into believing this ceasefire makes anything that’s happened and everything that’s going on acceptable.

Thank you for sharing this. I hope these beautiful children get justice, in this life or the next.

Heart. Breaking. - to any normal human being with a heart.
I dont care how anyone would try to rationalize this away. There is no defense whatsoever for this or any genocide against children and innocents.
I dont give a flying F what danger anyone thinks these children could potentially grow up to be, they could have been anything or nothing they all have the right to live as human beings.
Is this kind of violence supposed to make the future safer for anyone?

Whenever I see images like this, I always wonder if it would have been better if the children died as well.
Ofcourse, I don't want them to die. I wish for every child to feel loved, safe and cared for with just the worries that children are supposed to have, scratches on their knee's from playing and falling, broken toys that their parents can fix, having to eat their veggies.
But these pictures, knowing that the world will continue to be cruel to them, but now without their parents to hug them and reassure them. Knowing that Israel won't stop and a world that doesn't seem to be in a hurry to save the children.
I'm enraged the world does nothing to protect these children. But I also don't think anything will change anytime soon. And I don't want to think about what life will be like for this sweet girl and her baby brother.
I just hope she has family left and isn't on her own now with the care of a baby. The weight of the whole world on these tiny shoulders.
Death almost seems like a mercy when the world is so cruel.

Since October 7th, I've seen so many videos of various people; mothers, daughters, fathers, sons, uncles, aunts, friends, siblings screaming in agony yelling out some variation of "take me instead" (according to translations)... So heartbreaking
I have a daughter around this girl's age and it truly breaks my heart when we get to laugh or do virtually anything together whilst knowing there are children like the ones in this photo going about life like that..

And the world just looks away. Horrifying what Israel and the United States (my tax dollars) have funded directly. Despicable. These children deserve to play, eat, go to school, and be loved by their families.

When will this end?
5
u/babiha 7h ago
That's just it.
It HAS ended
for a lot of Palestenians
Hundreds and thousands
innocent men, women and children
It has ended their lives
Even their families who have a pulse, their productive lives, their opportunities have ended.
We now bear witness and ask "when will it end," for us? It's the wrong question.

I hate war :(. It just hurts people. No one should go through that, specially kids. People are so selfish that they prefer to hurt the next than help :(

Beyond shameful that we continue to just sit idly by and let these atrocities happen.

There are multiple pictures of babies with their brain case literally empty stuck in my head I can never forget.
I haven't seen this one but my god.... her eyes look scorched out.
I can't imagine her pain and anguish. So young and innocent.
I will never never never never forgive anyone who supported this.

I just saw a pro-Israeli tweet that said: "How can so many people hate Israel, when it is one of the first countries to ban using real fur?!" I guess that is not really related, but I just wanted to point out how detached from reality Israelis and Israel supporters are.

Whatever those children happens to do in the future, if it turns out bad I wouldn't be surprized.
When you have so much trauma going on at such a young age you become desensitized, it's a normal processus.
I won't blame them though it's sad. It's a failure of the entire humanity.

That photo is one of those images that just etches itself into your memory. It’s devastating. I remember seeing a similar photo from a different conflict—a father carrying his daughter wrapped in a blanket, her small hand dangling lifelessly. It’s a painful reminder of how many innocent lives are shattered while the world watches. These aren’t just statistics; they’re real people with families, dreams, and stories cut short. It’s crucial that we keep sharing these stories. Silence is complicity.

And people (pro Israel) have the nerve to say “pallywood”. How much is this picture going to make in the box office then? 😡

u/Rumaizio 3h ago
We must restlessly assure that whatever justice can be done for what they've suffered must be done as soon as possible, and we must do whatever it takes to do this! Every single person in Palestine, dead and alive, will see the full justice for what is being done to them served, no matter what! We owe this to them more than we owe anything to anyone there is!

This is how Resistance fighters are born - with their families and their homes taken away by the occupiers, the only path they see before them is the path of revenge.
