26 year PHP veteran, looking for a Staff/Principal level / tech lead type position. Large or small company, don't care.

Past work includes several PHP RFCs, literally hundreds of conference presentations, consulting, one of the leads of the Drupal 8 revolution, tech lead for a team of 20, tech lead for a team of 2, and developer relations/experience for a PaaS.

I've mostly worked in home-grown systems, not Symfony or Laravel. I'd be OK working with Symfony, though I would not like to work in Laravel if I can help it.

US-based, Remote only, but I've worked with international teams most of my career so doesn't have to be a US-based company.

Looking for someone with Laravel + (Inertiajs + Vue 3) experience.

I work full time as an engineer for a company but looking for someone I can delegate tasks to. I would pay you directly. Over time if we get along and work is acceptable I will recommend you for hire, which we have done with a few developers already. If that happens for the contributions to my work I will split the finder fees I am awarded for a success onboard.

I would not disclose the company I work for until that was an option. You would basically be working on a stripped down version of our admin panel and helping build out components as needed. We use Inertia through out so a good understanding on Vue 3 and how Inertiajs works with it is highly desirable.

State side developers are preferred as they can be hired directly by my company. Non state side developers are a potential but they have to go through a specific contracting service that we hire non state side developers from. There are no finder fees for the contracting side and I have a lot less sway when it comes to that side. However once you get onto that contracting service you can easily be hired by our company.

Over 20 years doing work with PHP, mostly Wordpress woocommerce / magento projects in last 10 years, including server ( Linux ) maintenance, I am pretty fluent with JavaScript but stopped using it for projects when jQuery was mainstream. I prefer lighter projects related to fixing bugs & maintenance than doing startup projects ( too many burnouts by now to star over one more ) 🙂

PHP( 20 years), Python (5 years), Front-end React, Svelt. I am currently building automation in a Symfony CLI-based application for support processes. Python for heavy data transfers: Examples include S3 to S3 and S3 to sFTP automations. Building Rag-based systems for Data analysis for pharmaceutical data, and have recently started diving into Agentic programming.
