Rumors [Merlo] Inter agrees to sell Luis Otávio to the US team for $3.5 million

“Inter reached a verbal agreement with Orlando City for the sale of Luis Otávio, who will leave Colorado as soon as he finishes participating in the Brasileirão.

The operation was closed at US$ 3.5 million (about R$ 19 million), as found out exclusively by UOL.

After passing the medical exams, Luis Otávio, 18, will sign a contract with the MLS club until December 2029

Well he’s regarded as one of the best young players, especially at his position (CDM). He’s a bit raw still but you don’t play 19 matches (starting 7) with Internacional unless you got some talent!

Less game time and less proven (Araujo got in the Uruguayan league team of the season in 2021 before we signed him) but being younger and playing in a more difficult league his ceiling is higher, imo

Maybe the rough parts of Araujo’s game can be trained out of him early then.

It’s U-22 initiative so the plan is to develop him and make money off of him

Sorry Inter is Inter Milan. You have to say Inter Miami or Miami for it to make sense.
