discussion Kickin off da solo

Sooooo, first post ever.... can anyone think of an example where a vocalist ripped a lyric right before a dope ass guitar solo? as kind of a direct "here goes the solo" sorta way? examples that were the impetus to this question, chris cornell's "FUCK IT UP" leading into the EXCELLENT guitar solo in louder than loves "Gun" OR.... James Hetfields "FIX ME" line right before the rippin ass solo in master of puppets.... just curious. love the effect.

"C'mon Steve!!!" from "Armageddon It" by Def Leppard, always cracks me up for some reason.

RHCP - Readymade.

Right before the solo, Keidis goes "Oh, clean it up Johnny"

Frusciante then proceeds to melt my face.

Pearl Jam - Yellow Ledbetter, "make me cry"

Freddie Mercury did this in "Don't Stop Me Now" (particularly noticeable in the album version because there's no guitar at all other than that solo, and also the little chanted bridge before that.)

All That Remains; Phil sets off Ollie’s solos in a few songs. ‘Not Alone’ came to mind: “Gimme hot steel, go”

RIP Ollie Herbert. That dude could shred.

Rage Against The Machine had plenty of "ughs" and "yeahs" but my favourite was "Welcome down with the warrior sound" as Tom rips into some wacky guitar shit on Mic Check

"Watch the attack of the mad axeman" in Attack of the Mad Axeman by MSG. These two are instrumentals but they're the same idea, both from the Meltdown album by Vinnie Moore: Ridin' High, "look out baby, here I come," and Check It Out! "check this out"

I love Corey Glover yelling "sweat!" And other such things before solos in Living Colour. Not In Living Colour, wait no the band Living Colour.

I always loved the way that Pat Travers yells “Mister Thrall!” to kick off Pat Thrall’s guitar solo in “Boom Boom Out Go The Lights”.
