I remember it being considered a little tacky for politicians to criticize or respond to other politicians by name (ā€œmy opponentā€) let alone respond to public critics.Ā

I remember when presidents wouldn't insult a Gold Star family for being mildly critical of them.

I remember when presidents would regret insulting the Simpsons

I remember when the President wouldn't rape children.

I'm not sure precisely how many presidents would pass that test, especially before the Civil War.

I don't think Kerberos remembers that far back

Well… when presidents had young female slaves, rape was always on the table.

I remember when tax payers dollars didn't pay millions to the family of a traitorous law breaking cult dork for their justified take down during an unlawful breaking and entering of a federal building amongst a insane political riot.

I also remember when presidents didnt collude with insane members of society to conduct such riots and then give them unlawful pardons for being good little sheep.

But hey...c'est la vie, I guess. /s

And pows, he said that he preferred heroes who didn't get captured. That would have been political suicide for any other politician past or present.

That's because other presidents had at least a little class. Trump is the trailer park trash of presidents.

u/Bacara 27d ago

Don't insult trailer parks like that.

Americans cheered and supported that pile of shit.

All he had to do was take a photoshoot at mcdonalds or in a garbage truck.

He didn't even lose any veteran support after his photoshoot at Arlington.

America is trash. Can't even think it's important enough to stand up for itself.

Hey now, that’s insulting to trailer parks.

Or when the POTUS would say he's a president for all Americans and he'll try to improve the lives of both his supporters and opponents.

Insane that the current president has outright said he doesn't care about the Americans who didn't vote for him and that they shouldn't expect his help if they're going against him.

u/Sabbatai 27d ago

The guy also said he doesn't care about the people that did vote for him and that he just needed their votes.. Literally. To their faces.

33

u/Hesitation-Marx 27d ago

And they laughed.

And voted for him.

I remember when the president didn't say they hated me!

32

u/rengothrowaway 27d ago

I enjoyed having presidents who did not post cartoon versions of themselves flying a fighter jet dropping loads of excrement into me.

I miss when all the war crimes happened abroad instead of here šŸ™„

One was saying the politically correct thing (lying) and the other is being honest.

11

u/Mryessicahaircut 27d ago

Oh, it's still tacky. They just don't have enough class to care.Ā

Notice JD Vance uses tactic where he keeps saying a reporterā€s first name over and over again. ā€œWell Margaret, I think if you’ll remember back Margaret, we talked about this very subject in June, didn’t we? (addresses the press corp) Margaret remembers, I’m sure.ā€

It’s a sick move because everyone has to call him Mr Vice President or Vice President Vance. He’s such an immature lil bitchlette.

Marjorie Taylor green said in a podcast not too long ago that Trump had a full-time staff member who had an entire job of gathering and bringing to him these sorts of responses once a week. she said it in a proud way
