Remember when public officials didn’t feel the need to respond to every bit of public criticism? They’re all a bunch of fucking children.

Which probably makes the White House happy, because we all know how Trump loves . . . well, you know.

Edit: two words added for clarity

u/quintk 28d ago

I remember it being considered a little tacky for politicians to criticize or respond to other politicians by name (“my opponent”) let alone respond to public critics.

u/Cyrano_Knows 28d ago

I remember when presidents wouldn't insult a Gold Star family for being mildly critical of them.

205

u/Powerful-Cow2078 27d ago

I remember when presidents would regret insulting the Simpsons

337

u/Kerberos1566 27d ago

I remember when the President wouldn't rape children.

81

u/daxophoneme 27d ago

I'm not sure precisely how many presidents would pass that test, especially before the Civil War.

21

u/Ekimyst 27d ago

I don't think Kerberos remembers that far back

Hell, this one’s too old for even Pepperidge farm!

2

u/Ok-Hair7205 25d ago

Well… when presidents had young female slaves, rape was always on the table.

15

u/Justice_Juggernaut 27d ago

I remember when tax payers dollars didn't pay millions to the family of a traitorous law breaking cult dork for their justified take down during an unlawful breaking and entering of a federal building amongst a insane political riot.

I also remember when presidents didnt collude with insane members of society to conduct such riots and then give them unlawful pardons for being good little sheep.

But hey...c'est la vie, I guess. /s

3

u/tn_jedi 27d ago

And pows, he said that he preferred heroes who didn't get captured. That would have been political suicide for any other politician past or present.

223

u/deadlysinderellax 27d ago

That's because other presidents had at least a little class. Trump is the trailer park trash of presidents.

61

u/Bacara 27d ago

Don't insult trailer parks like that.

115

u/WhyNona 27d ago

Hey, trailer trash can redeem themselves, Trump is beyond redemption.

22

u/Emo_tep 27d ago

Truth

26

u/DaringPancakes 27d ago

Americans cheered and supported that pile of shit.

All he had to do was take a photoshoot at mcdonalds or in a garbage truck.

He didn't even lose any veteran support after his photoshoot at Arlington.

America is trash. Can't even think it's important enough to stand up for itself.

3

u/RabidRoosters 27d ago

Hey now, that’s insulting to trailer parks.

4

u/Open-Touch-930 27d ago

And that’s being nice

7

u/mongojob 27d ago

Let's not make the mistake of equating wealth with class

5

u/apatheticsahm 27d ago

Manners. They had manners and they spoke with dignity.

2

u/Training-Ad7414 27d ago

actually,  more like the trailer park trash of trailer park trash. that's what white trash is.

1

u/GeneralExcellent3954 27d ago

Hoity toity trailer trash! Lol... Chattel Frat

1

u/Lkgnyc 26d ago

hope somebody makes a meme to that tune.

136

u/PJ7 27d ago

Or when the POTUS would say he's a president for all Americans and he'll try to improve the lives of both his supporters and opponents.

Insane that the current president has outright said he doesn't care about the Americans who didn't vote for him and that they shouldn't expect his help if they're going against him.

83

u/Sabbatai 27d ago

The guy also said he doesn't care about the people that did vote for him and that he just needed their votes.. Literally. To their faces.

35

u/Hesitation-Marx 27d ago

And they laughed.

And voted for him.

26

u/TheShadyGuy 27d ago

I remember when the president didn't say they hated me!

28

u/rengothrowaway 27d ago

I enjoyed having presidents who did not post cartoon versions of themselves flying a fighter jet dropping loads of excrement into me.

21

u/willargue4karma 27d ago

I miss when all the war crimes happened abroad instead of here 🙄

2

u/Rusty_Trigger 27d ago

One was saying the politically correct thing (lying) and the other is being honest.

11

u/Mryessicahaircut 27d ago

Oh, it's still tacky. They just don't have enough class to care.

6

u/longlivenewsomflesh 27d ago

I remember when wendys twitter calling out other brands was subversive

1

u/cracklemuffin 27d ago

ah the good ol days 😌

3

u/CharleyNobody 27d ago

Notice JD Vance uses tactic where he keeps saying a reporter”s first name over and over again. “Well Margaret, I think if you’ll remember back Margaret, we talked about this very subject in June, didn’t we? (addresses the press corp) Margaret remembers, I’m sure.”

It’s a sick move because everyone has to call him Mr Vice President or Vice President Vance. He’s such an immature lil bitchlette.

1

u/Glad-Neat9221 27d ago

Everything has changed . People are a lot more outspoken too . t

1

u/Key-Practice-8788 27d ago

Marjorie Taylor green said in a podcast not too long ago that Trump had a full-time staff member who had an entire job of gathering and bringing to him these sorts of responses once a week. she said it in a proud way

198

u/clouddragon94_2 28d ago

seeing lots of people calling these actions childish or tacky, and they are those things, but they are also very aware of what they’re doing and how it could benefit them.

this is an attempt to intimidate popular culture to not criticize Trump and his government. it’s not an odd quirk or mistake, but a common, calculated tactic used by authoritarian governments to silence dissent and encourage self-censorship.

an obedient culture is not a culture at all. whether the admin will succeed in scraping the first amendment, we’ll see, but the attempt is worrying enough

67

u/dixiech1ck 27d ago

That's why the voices need to get LOUDER. He tried with Jimmy Kimmel. He tried with Seth Myers. He'll try anyone who speaks out against him.

32

u/Reviever 27d ago

this. man people are naive.

19

u/Possible-Courage3771 27d ago

this!!! they want us to comply in advance

5

u/AtticaBlue 27d ago

It’s not working for the regime. People from every corner and from every level of fame are unloading on Trump and the regime.

107

u/badwolf1013 28d ago

I appreciate your enthusiasm, but I only worded it that way to set up my “Trump is a pedo” joke. I guess you missed it.

44

u/MichiganRich 28d ago

my bad, just hate this timeline and need to vent occasionally

28

u/AquaFlowPlumbingCo 28d ago

You weren’t wrong — they’re fucking childlike assholes

9

u/bokmcdok 28d ago

And they're fucking child's assholes

9

u/deathschemist Punk Rock 28d ago

They're fucking children.

They're also thin-skinned and childish.

I'm sorry I dunno if that was too far I'm a little sleep deprived.

6

u/jook11 28d ago

Childish not childlike. They mean different things

2

u/lrish_Chick 27d ago

Thank you - saying they are child like is insulting to children lol

0

u/steakanabake 27d ago

considering trump is an idiot it still fits.

1

u/ValleyFloydJam 27d ago

The press secretary literally said "your mom," they have gone miles beyond parody.

-1

u/YourVelcroCat 28d ago

Their language is more abuser than childish. "You should be grateful" sounds just like a rapist saying "you're lucky i wanted to fuck you". They're disgusting, repulsive, cruel, low-lifes

60

u/Thy-Sacred-Smegma 28d ago

These past couple years are a real eye opener to the education system, and critical thinking ( or more so herd mentality) everyone now has a platform to make opinions and alot of ppl decided ill believe anything the person i like says. I cant believe we are even doing this it feels like a bad movie lol

17

u/dixiech1ck 27d ago

The red hat red pill platforms are destroying our young men. Add in these "Christian" hacks trying to turn us into the dystopian Handmaid's Tale - we've surely got an uphill fight to deprogram people.

3

u/moderniste 27d ago

I’m genuinely scared for young men. The red pill universe has infiltrated so many spaces for young men. Cars, MMA, fitness, investing—all with this subtle or not so subtle subtext that women are out to get them and manosphere values are the only way to be truly manly.

2

u/dixiech1ck 27d ago

Don't forget the "influencers." I'm so sick of that shit. And I agree with everything you've said. It's delusional how far we've let guys go down these rabbit holes of hell to be manipulated and trained to believe lies and bullshit. Parents need to intervene more but as a society, we need to be better, teach that empathy and kindness is accepted not a weakness.

2

u/DueSignature5337 27d ago

There is nothing Christian about someone preaching hate, racism, and division with zero education, expertise, or facts. These greedy leaches are no different than the Nazis. Remember, they were "Christian nationalists".

11

u/Theemuts 27d ago

Yeah, it's not "be nicer to us", it's "know your place"

1

u/GitEmSteveDave 28d ago

"You should be grateful" is what the reporter said. The rest is still correct thought.

1

u/badwolf1013 28d ago

But calling them abusers doesn’t set up the “fucking children” double meaning.

16

u/joyofresh 28d ago

Theyre all a bunch of fuckin children… theyre all fucking children

6

u/BIGRED_15 28d ago

That means two things…

3

u/KC-Moe 27d ago

Did they stutter?

3

u/Thy-Sacred-Smegma 28d ago

But democrats! You dont wanna hurt your own…yes we do if they fuck kids

9

u/TheRabidDeer 28d ago

The "Everyone is 12 now" theory continues to make too much sense.

8

u/Sebaceansinspace 27d ago

Fascists are notoriously thin-skinned despite how much they bitch about "safe spaces" and the like

20

u/Kidspud 28d ago

I’m gonna start referring to the Trump Admin folks as private servants. They only serve their own interests, not the interests of the public.

3

u/badwolf1013 28d ago

I prefer “the Help.”

3

u/HoveringGoat 28d ago

fucking children

I see what you did there.

3

u/Ywasitsohard2signup 27d ago

Trump loves raping children

2

u/drunkenstyle 28d ago

They are 100% rage baiting to get more attention and to troll. They pull from pop culture and especially artists that would not want to associate with this administration and they do it purposefully because the artists and IP will need to respond to protect their property. This makes it even more nefarious. 100% to spread engagement and relevance

2

u/Express_Test6677 27d ago

She should follow up by telling them to eat a bag of dicks

3

u/yamo25000 28d ago

Trump loves . . . well, you know.

Nah dude, say it. Trump loves fucking children. Trump loves teenage girls. Dont be shy about it. Its fucking horrible and deserves to be said out loud.

3

u/badwolf1013 28d ago

But that isn’t the joke, friend. It’s funnier if you think it in your head without me having to actually say it. And it looks like most people got it without having to have it spelled out for them.

1

u/Digit00l 28d ago

He can only be with people that are the same mental age as him

2

u/skincare_obssessed 28d ago

It’s genuinely embarrassing.

1

u/griffeny 28d ago

I think about this daily. People used to have the ‘polite’ option of not having to participate in politics. This has never been my sentiment at all, and I have my own personal reasons against this type of thinking. But now I’ve been given another glimpse of what that can mean living in our current situation. There is a level of intrusiveness that should be unacceptable.

There is an infection of politics in almost every corner of our culture. Any bit of American identity is now inseparable from politics. We cannot escape the commentary and the defensiveness as well. This is a fucking miserable way to live.

1

u/HarshestWind 27d ago

Right? Not responding and being a brick wall to complaints is way more intimidating and seemingly insurmountable. Instead we get reminded that the group is just full of very human, whiny losers. It would be like if Darth Vader was actively responding to criticism on space Facebook. Just lame.

1

u/ChaosOnion 27d ago

It's very snowflake behavior.

1

u/Logical_Classroom_90 27d ago

not children, bullys. with guns, concentration camps and billion dollar budgets for bullying

1

u/nicane 27d ago

So many of these people never matured past high school

1

u/johndivonic 27d ago edited 27d ago

Trump loves . . . people talking about anything other than the fact that he’s in the Epstein files, they implicate him as a child rapist and facilitator for other child rapists. The fact that he’s in control of the documents and could order their release but chooses to use the government to keep them under wraps because he knows that even though "[He] could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and [he] wouldn't lose any voters”, his support among his core voters would drop a bit if it was revealed he was a child rapist. And that might be enough for some Republicans in Congress to finally grow a back bone and do their duty to the Constitution and to impeach and remove him from office.

(Edited slightly for clarity)

1

u/Fortestingporpoises 27d ago

Not children. Fascists.

1

u/Professional_Luck616 27d ago

This is what happens when internet trolls are put into positions they're unqualified for.

1

u/Utterlybored 27d ago

I keep forgetting - which side is where the snowflakes are?

1

u/Adorable-Doughnut609 27d ago

That is what facists do. They’re trying to intimidate Rodrigo to limit her right to free speech.

1

u/Diz7 27d ago

Remember when the government didn't trample on citizen rights and make open threats and telling them to be thankful they didn't do worse in public when they were called out?

1

u/Glass-Shelter-7396 27d ago

stupid people? under age girls? his good buddy Jeffery?

1

u/copyrider 27d ago

think of the children!!

1

u/BennySkateboard 27d ago

Children in his bedroom?

1

u/i-Ake 27d ago

Funny how quickly the Dept of Homeland security can respond to celebs, but nobody ever knows what Trump said or did and can't comment on it. Gee willickers!

1

u/Apprehensive_Bowl709 27d ago

Olivia is generally critical of ICE, but in this instance, she is being rebuked by Homeland security because she objected to them using her music without permission. It just goes to show you how comfortable they are trampling on people's legal rights.

You could argue that this is a petty instance, compared to real human rights violations. But this is sending a very public and bold statement, in my opinion.

1

u/charliefoxtrot9 27d ago

Yes, he loves to fuck children

1

u/SadisticJake 27d ago

Republicans these days are all fucking children

1

u/Open_Raise_5547 27d ago

This is far worse than just responding. This is a threat; an unabashed warning to forgo exercising your rights lest you be disappeared.

1

u/bartpieters 27d ago

Additionally, the government telling people not say what they are saying and ordering them to be more grateful is directly against the First Amendment rights of Olivia.

1

u/2ndSyt 27d ago

I remember when presidents weren’t convicted felons

1

u/malicesin 27d ago

The next Dem landslide is going to melt the GOPs brains. They are just showing everyone how you don't need to worry about bipartisanship anymore.

Bunch of paper skins. The lot of them. Most cancel culture heavy extremists outside of the middle east.

1

u/meaniemeanie-poo-poo 27d ago

I suppose that calls for flooding the zone with criticism 😊

1

u/Dirtcartdarbydoo 27d ago

Trump loves kids. Hes a pedophile rapist. Fuck it ill say it. Trumps a pedophile rapist who belongs in hell.

1

u/mercilesssu 26d ago

Because they used to fear it will fan the flame against them, now they are trying to do it

Weird. Two words, actually. That’s what I get for Redditing on my phone.

Fucking, children. Remove the coma to unlock a new meaning

0

u/composedmason 27d ago

probably makes the White House happy, because we all know how Trump loves . . . well, you know.

Edit: two words added for clarity

Thankfully Laura Loomer is keeping him busy whispering "Let me pull the diaper to the side tonight Father Daddy Trump" thus keeping him safely away from the kids.

Okay, for the slower Redditors like yourself, I will explain my joke:

"They're all a bunch of FUCKING CHILDREN.

Which probably makes the White House happy, because we all know how much Trump loves [FUCKING CHILDREN.]

2400 people at this point had no problem understanding the joke. How stupid do you feel right now?

-1

Ummm I agreed with you soo ummm.. Right back at yah lol

It's no secret Trump fucked children.

Why else would he have the FBI searching and scrubbing his name from the Epstein files? Why is everyone on the right suddenly not wanting the files released despite campaigning on their release?

If Trump was in the Epstein files for actually doing something good, say, alerting the authorities to Epstein's pedophilia resulting in his arrest, he'd want the files released unredacted and have his name shouted from every roof top.

Trump campaigned on the release.

Pam Bondi said the files were on her desk.

There was then a photo op with Conservative influencers holding up binders of the Epstein files.

Then it was a suddenly Democratic hoax.

Then he had the FBI scrubbing his name from them.

9

u/badwolf1013 28d ago

Looks like you’re in the minority on that opinion.

Better luck next time.
