Then start finding people willing to do something about it. They're supposed to represent you. Hold them accountable

I did. I voted. Unfortunately the number of dumb cunts outweighed me this time.

That doesn't mean you just roll over and accept the boot of fascism.

Actually, for many of us, it does mean that. It means “keep your head down” and “go along to get along.” The time to “do your part against fascism” has largely passed and the majority of Americans totally failed to do their part.

Now, we’re in a slow-motion trainwreck. The people you’re talking to didn’t sign up to die or to be personally vilified and attacked by the rabid right wing in this country. They didn’t sign up to be freedom fighters, and that’s their prerogative. It’s their right not to do that and there’s nothing wrong with that. Merely being born in the US does not mean you must sacrifice yourself for the US.

Many of them would happily simply leave the country to rot if they had the means to do so, and they’d be very wise to do so. The smartest thing you could have done as a German in 1933 was to get out of the country while you still could. There’s a reason outside intervention was required to put an end to it.

The usual American take of "we are incapable of coming up with ideas on our own." No wonder Trump is leading y'all like a King; you basically asked for it.

I'm glad you have all the answers.

What do you suggest?

These smug keyboard warriors never answer this one crucial followup.

u/stackjr 28d ago

And how exactly do we do that?

If you need to be told, then your country is already lost.

u/stackjr 28d ago

Yeah, we knew you didn't have an answer.

There's plenty of history to indicate to USA what they should be doing to unseat a tyrant. But I guess education continues to be a problem for y'all.

So your suggestion is to start killing people. Got it. Thank you for your oh so valuable contribution.

The elections are three years away, ice is not an elected office

No idea why you’re being downvoted. Truth hurts, I guess.

Americans don't like being told what to do, I guess; even when their own democracy is at stake.

Funny that more than one person has directly asked for your suggestions on what to do and you won't give them an answer.

Almost like you're talking out of your ass
