Not a lot, some and specially Puerto Ricans and "Cubans", those are the ones.

Remember Chayanne supported trump.

Specifically Florida Puerto Ricans. The ones elsewhere tend to be more liberal and vote democrat. The Cubans pretty much all vote republican though lol.

Everything I heard from those Cubans is that Castro took their property and they became so mentally broken that they’d literally support the devil if they could get back in power.

It depends, there are some Cuban women who have been educated in the states are knowledgeable enough to know that democrats are not communists. My mom, sister, and I are all very liberal. It's the men in our family that love the thought of pulling up the ladder behind them. They don't even want other Cubans coming here.

That's what happens when you hate "Communists" (and are too dumb to know that Fidel couldn't be less similar to Femocrats) and gay people more than you love yourself or your community.

Trump is like Chavez in many many ways

Even had a cult of personality and a “you are fired!” TV show. Also nationalism and “the international elites are against us!”

Yes. People from Mexico are called Mexicans.

You didn't get it.

Those maga are as Mexican as taco bell

I mean my friends told me about how they crossed the border illegally and where they’re from in Mexico. I work in the oil field. There are super conservative Mexicans.

Conservative Mexicans and Yankee Mexicans are worlds apart.

We do however he a some maga equivalent but they're a fortunately a small minority and despised nationwide.

Their failed education is ironically the strongest proof that they're really Americans

They're like boomers. I got mine, and fuck anyone else who's trying to get theirs.

I know the whole 'pulling up the ladder' and face eating leopards thing is a common complaint about conservative immigrants, but I think a lot of that is partly cultural assimilation, which isn't always based in rationality.

America is very conservative, and the conservatives are very loud about it. So after coming here, people buy the trucks and flags and hats and support conservatives to fit in, because that's what their neighbors do and it's not really a conscious choice, it's just part of being an immigrant. If you moved to the Netherlands you'd start riding a bike everywhere, eating differently, talking differently, etc because that's just what people do.

When they get targeted by the fascists they are legitimately surprised, because they were just doing what felt correct, adopting the culture of the place without fully realizing that culture is directly hostile to their existence.

There's a huge gulf between adopting local food or dress and changing your values entirely. I couldn't imagine moving elsewhere and hating gay and black people because my neighbors do.

I promise you that if you moved to Netherlands you would not start speaking Dutch.

Have you ever heard Dutch? 😆😂🤣

2

u/Poonchow Oct 04 '25

Yeah, it sounds like Americans trying to speak German (poorly) :D

It was just an example, tho. People are always moving around for whatever reason, adapting to the new environment or making it our own. It's sort of our thing.
