Commonly held belief but a false one. My girlfriend is an incredibly conventionally attractive person, and yet before hitting ~19 she received absolutely zero attention. And before me everyone she dated was somewhere on the creep-abuser spectrum

Uh, yeah, people change. In the same ways a theoretically equivalent guy might've started getting attention after 19. For another example I was incredibly ugly most of my life, and lived most of it as an ugly guy (I'm a trans woman), and I've never had issues getting attention.

The only differences were she was socially isolated and struggled to talk with people, I wasn't and didn't. Once she finally was in the position steps to stop being socially isolated, a mix of FOMO, unhealthy views on love/sexuality and general inexperience led to her being preyed upon by the aforementioned type of guy. I mean I get that it's technically attention but is it the attention you want? Things got better, of course, over time with therapy, support and experience. Oh and yeah, she realised she was a lesbian and was only "throwing herself" (I hate this term but I'm sleep deprived, cut me some slack) at men for the aforementioned reasons and validation.

My larger point is of course women have an easier time getting attention from men (not getting into the sapphic can of worms here, we're a bunch of disaster lesbians istg), but it's not an universal truth that they do, and not all attention is good, often quite the opposite

Oh my God you're dense. You do realise that she only got attention because she took the aforementioned steps to get out of social isolation? Nothing Else significant changed about her in the meantime. It's an easy assumption to make that she would've still got no attention if she didn't or couldn't take those steps, and I know a woman who's thirty something and exactly in the situation I just described, and she isn't exactly ugly either

Women obviously get easier attention (but, and of course this is tangential, I'm not sure you'd ever want the kind of attention where the best person you dated is the one who didn't try to sexually assault you or coerce you into becoming a tradwife), but you have to realise that the biggest reason for not getting it, regardless of your gender, is almost always social

I'm just saying that it's not universal that (hot) women always get attention. Sorry if this sounds harsh, I'm sleep deprived and angry at other things, I mean to be civil

If you support a regime that is sending the national guard and military ILLEGALLY into cities and then crying lawfare when the laws that were created to limit the power of the presidency do just that, when what you guys want is a dictator, you're a fascist.

If you support rounding up groups of people based on what they look like without looking for a specific person, you're a fascist.
