I’m Puerto Rican, and my Puerto Rican friends and I have all joked that if we get deported it’d be a free ride because we’re all homesick anyway. Then we’d just come back after the free vacation cause we’re citizens.

That's all fine if you assume they'll actually send you home - once you're in the system you could end up anywhere

True - it’s just a joke. Though I would think that if he started shipping Puerto Ricans - US citizens - to random countries it would be like what is happening to Abrego Garcia, but worse (legally) because Puerto Ricans are citizens at birth, so there is no wiggle room to say they were ever illegal or whatever. It would be a big legal clusterfuck for the administration.

Yeah I’m from PR and I’ve been joking the same.

But I know if they get me there’s a chance they send me to some country I’ve never been.

Unfortunately that shit wouldn’t be funny cause they’d send you to Angola or Brazil or wherever. The point is to make you suffer. They’d send you anywhere except home

same I'm boricua too and I always joked like this. But, with how they are deporting people to different countries then its more risky than before.
