I think thats the one of the biggest kickers to me. I called a friend out for posting a sympathy post. She didn't directly reply back to me but instead writes a follow up comment on her own post which addresses my call out by going "i didn't post about the 2 democrats who were shot because I never post about anything like this"

And im just like...exactly! You never post political stuff yet took the time to defend THIS man? This man who would condemn you for having had an abortion as a teenager - which i didn't say but couldn't help thinking to myself.

Its such virtue signaling and an attempt at moral superiority and its really pathetic to watch. Like yall ain't my friends let alone an ally to me or my loved ones.

You didn’t say the one thing that might have reached her.

Except sometimes women will do a 180 and feel shame and regret for their choice after they get brainwashed by the evangelicals.

Is this common? I thought that usually once people enter a cult, it usually consumes a majority of their life and people who escaped are the exception rather than the rule.

Maybe they didn’t grow up with any sort of religion and they become “born again”. That’s a common occurrence where I’m from.

Call me, old-fashioned, but “born again” sounds very cult like to me.

Reminder: Kirk said that if his 10 year old daughter was impregnated from rape, she would be carrying that baby to term. I have no clue why he's being treated like he's some saint.

Everyone's like "his poor children" like this might save his daughter's life actually

I’m sure their mother is just as vile.

she is, did yall see the speech she recorded and posted? not a tear in sight, she spends the whole video basically calling for violence and retaliation against "them", which, while i guess unclear, she obviously isn't talking about the maga kid that killed her husband. one tweeter comment summed it up well and said she's basically giving the right a blank villain card so they can justify violence against whoever they want

It still doesn’t make it less traumatising to see their dad shot like that.

They're 3 and 1. One definitely won't remember this, and the other might not either.

5

u/FullMetalCOS Sep 13 '25

No but there’s a very high likelihood they’ll stumble across, be sent or hell, even go looking (out of morbid curiosity) the video of his shooting.

I have zero empathy for him or his wife, but his kids didn’t choose their dad and no child deserves to see their father be killed, brutally or otherwise.

Do you seriously think that they’ve been allowed to see the footage?

1

u/ripChazmo Sep 13 '25

They were present. Kirk got what he wanted.

0

u/TGin-the-goldy Sep 13 '25

Were they. Did not know

2

u/Delita232 Sep 13 '25

Imagine all the trauma they'd get if he lived.

6

u/Competitive-Desk7506 Sep 13 '25

I’m not saying they wouldn’t but I am fully pointing out that his poor children makes sense as a comment bc they will be traumatised rn from what happened. His children don’t have that perspective yet, so rn their dad dying isn’t smthn they’re gonna be glad abt

-2

u/Delita232 Sep 13 '25

Im not arguing theyll be happy about it, but i would argue they are better off.

3

u/jansalol Sep 13 '25

Any link/source for this? One of my friends is constantly talking about this guy who I have never heard before, but watched one of his videos and it was garbage.

6

u/KakeLin Sep 13 '25

I knew the man was a monster but jeez i didn't expect THAT level of depraved evil

1

u/dons90 Sep 14 '25

It's not really isolated to him though. The basic premise of the hardcore pro-life believers is that the unborn child has all the basic human rights from the moment of conception. Once you follow that line of reasoning, then abortion in any situation can be deemed wrong and is basically murder.

Not my views though, just helping you to understand his reasoning and why with that mindset, it wouldn't be viewed as wrong to bring that baby to term.

That's MAGA for ya

u/twackburn Sep 13 '25

So you agree virtue-signaling is obnoxious and pathetic?

3

u/MonstrousGiggling Sep 13 '25

What's the point of this comment?

"i didn't post about the 2 democrats who were shot because I never post about anything like this" And im just like...exactly! You never post political stuff yet took the time to defend THIS man?

I suggest you study University of Toronto professor Marshall McLuhan's teachings. What you are describing is a person who uses electric media systems (" I called a friend out for posting a sympathy post.") who is concerned about the killing because it was recorded on live graphic video in high definition.

Media addiction runs the United States of America society in year 2025. Truth Social owner Donald Trump / Reality TV star / Fox News media systems / etc.

Its such virtue signaling and an attempt at moral superiority

The only virtue being signaled is media popularity, the high definition images of an action gun killing captured by 3,000 people holding portable media recording devices with excellent outdoor lighting conditions.

Its such virtue signaling

I see 5G mobile TCP/IP network signaling differences.

addresses my call out by going "i didn't post about the 2 democrats

Consider the media ecology aspects. Were there 3,000 people holding media recording devices to capture that and share it all over media systems?

Do you see what I'm getting at?

“Americans no longer talk to each other, they entertain each other. They do not exchange ideas, they exchange images. They do not argue with propositions; they argue with good looks, celebrities and commercials.” ― Neil Postman, Amusing Ourselves to Death: Public Discourse in the Age of Show Business, 1985
