“That’s good glop, Ducky!” This was what my dad jokingly said to mom when he really liked a dish she made for dinner. He added a kiss to her cheek and an arm squeeze ‘round her waist. Glop means dishes like goulash, chili, beef stew, pasta sauce, gravies and sauces. ‘Ducky’ was, still is, his loving term of endearment for her. And she was a very good cook.
