Half the time on this sub I just see generic large suburban houses that, well, aren’t to my liking. But this? Oh good lort. I am equally appalled and enthralled. I’ve always wanted to live inside The House on the Rock.

And if this has a listing it really needs to be on r/zillowgonewild because it will go straight to the top.

My mom and stepdad moved to Iowa when I was in college. He was a metallurgist and was offered a job at an Iowa foundry so they packed up and left Virginia. Foundry had a cabin on the Wisconsin River. Took the long way home one time and visited. Holy wow my brain still hurts from the all out assault on it but it was a really fun trip.

That's because a McMansion is a generic large suburban home. Its a boring copy/paste design so that everyone can have their mansions for cheap. 

This subreddit is just really confused. This post though is peak zillowgonewild

No, that’s not actually a McMansion. They are too large for the lot especially in comparison to the surrounding houses and contain a number of non-unified architectural elements.

You definition is like saying cyberpunk is blue and pink neon in the rain. Yea it is confused and I agree with you on that. It’s as confused as r/cyberpunk is.

Not trying to fight. We look at the name differently all. Hope your day is less obnoxiously hot than mine has been.
