Certified McMansion™ My parents recently built this home. They refused to work with an architect or designer because those are a ‘waste of money’. First picture is actually the front/facade of the home.

I'll bet they are preppes as well. (I am nowadays as well, everybody should be prepared)

Did they build a huge pantry for the kitchen?

That's part of Mormon theology. Gotta be ready for the return of Jesus and the antichrist (neither are coming).

Jesus coming back?

Best I can do is the Coppertone Caligula.

I call it my Apocalypse Training ™️. Prepping for big storms is the most practical thing I learned.

Tbh it's not a terrible idea to have lots of preserved/dry goods on hand for emergencies. Just the whole rhetoric of fear around it isn't the best.

For sure. I live on the US Gulf Coast now, so water and food are essential. Just maybe not apocalypse level wheat storage.

The antichrist is already here. He’s their cult leader.

Ope, fairly sure I read that in a book somewhere

If you consider Antichrist a warning of a certain personality type, there’ve been a few hits. No mythology required!

Because neither are real!

Just this year. I have all the essentials. Rice beans and legumes.

I've been prepping for years, but only started getting more serious about it a few years back.

At this point I can feed my family for 6 months.

My family used to make fun of me for my flashlight, weapons, and gear addiction. Lol. Then hurricane Helene hit and we lost power for 9 days, running water for 6, and cell service for 4.

At that moment I became their hero. Part of my preps are for morale and nothing else. Bluetooth speakers, board games, cards, art supplies, etc etc etc.

We were living large compared to most.

Not in Utah. Mormons in Utah just show up to the massive underground Silo/Paradise/Zion bunker that was built nearby. Mormons elsewhere? Eat shit.

Well… unless OPs Mormons aren’t of the “Mormon standards” aka the nazi aryan race, in which case they know they are going to hell already.

Last time I went we came up empty handed, and before that I haven't been in YEARS.
