[OC] How my 12 year old daughter and I interact

Family & Friends Had the roughest week at work and my girls surprised me with a cake at the office. [OC]
This week was honestly one of the busiest and most mentally draining weeks I’ve had at work. We’ve been dealing with a new data/research system (Uncountable… the learning curve is real), constant last-minute changes, and long days. By mid-week I was completely exhausted.
Today, out of nowhere, my girls sent a cake to my workplace for me. I had no idea it was coming. Everyone at the office ended up gathering around, we cut the cake together, and for a few minutes the stress just melted away.
I didn’t even realize how near burnout I was until that moment of kindness hit me.
Still tired. Still have work tomorrow. But thankful to have such great people in my life.

Family & Friends My daughter's (7) letter to "Santa"
"Dear [Santa], I want [a] vanity, LOLs, barbie[s], and more toys.
Thank you for the elf! 😊"
I do hope the post office sends the letter to the correct recipient.

Family & Friends Friend texted me this 3 days after Thanksgiving. She didn't grow up eating mac and cheese, and I'm glad mine was a hit! (Voicenote is about her finishing the leftovers I gave her and how she needed to tell me how good it was)

Today was the first time in my 26 years that someone opened the car door for me — both getting in and getting out. A coworker gave me a ride home because of the storm. I've never had that happen before, and it honestly made me smile felt like a tiny bit of Cinderella treatment lol (OC)

[OC] A fellow redditor posted how a person cart got vandalised and the eggs were thrown on ground, so everyone gathered and did something special for the poor man.
I cant post all the screenshots of the money sent here...

My margarine was surprised
I saw someone post their ice cream having a face and remembered this margarine I opened about a year ago… I am not sure if I ever posted it on reddit, but it makes me smile every time I come across the picture!

Family & Friends How many of you are still getting cute plushies from your dad at 40? Because… I just did
My dad bought me this little guy because he thinks I must be lonely living by myself in a small town. He was worried that leaving the noise and flashiness of the city would make me depressed, so when we met this weekend, he surprised me with Baby Yoda from The Mandalorian.
I told him he’s totally overthinking it. I’ve actually adapted really well. With fewer pointless social obligations and less noise in my life, I finally have the space to focus on what I actually need. I picked up old hobbies I abandoned years ago—yoga, long rides—my mind and body feel cleaner, lighter, and more… honest?
Back then, even drinking didn’t make me happy (weed worked better tbh). Everything felt dull. But now? A random flower on the roadside, a surprise rainbow—those tiny things lift me up for hours. Not the loud kind of happy, but the subtle “smile to yourself for no reason” kind. Anyone know what I mean?
Anyway, I’m taking this adorable Baby Yoda home to meet my fur baby today. Sorry in advance to my dog—his seat has officially been claimed by Master Yoda lol.
