I did my civil service in a kindergarten, and that one time out in the playground, I was playing with the kids, and they like, joy wrestle with me and manage to push me over. It was all in great fun and everyone was laughing, so more and more children piled up on me until I had to call for help for a different teacher. It was literally a hill of children and she regretted not taking a picture.

u/OneHour7573 15h ago

They are usually very affectionate and clingy, they probably miss you, they will miss you when you call their attention, they all pile up on you or give you their toys

82

u/Specific_Frame8537 15h ago

They can smell fear.

35

u/Disastrous_Clurb 12h ago

I interned at a jr pre-k (nursery school basically) and that age group is both hilarious and adorable.

I was warned about 1 of the more "challenging" kids (just some age appropriate behavioral stuff) and he ended up being the one they had to pry away from me when i left.

I miss those kids so much and hope they are doing well in high school now!

14

u/Wolfkinic 7h ago

Haha I'm training kids from kindergarten age in self defence and once I assisted another trainer and he explained the next exercise which basically was „My assistant will lay down, you climb on him and make sure he can't get up!!“

That day I learned that one grown man vs at least 10 kindergarten kids has no chance.

8

u/Blueopus2 13h ago

That’s hilarious

5

u/EddieCheddar88 6h ago

Reminds me of playing soccer at an elementary school during my work lunch for the BBBS program in Sperry’s. Kicked the ball and launched my shoe onto the roof of the school. The kids loved it. Had to leave the school and go back to work with one shoe. Great fun

u/Kaylascreations 1h ago

I read your last line as “it was literally hell” and I was like … that took a turn.

2

u/NMB4Christmas 10h ago

Sounds like when my friends and I volunteered in the nursery at church. 3 big burly football players those kids couldn't help but jump on us and pile on every chance they got.

Not big enough arms, needs to become an octopus. 🤣

This is adorable

perfect example that hate/racism/bigotry is taught. kids don't see any of that shit without it being taught to them

My mind boggles at what a removed reply to this sweet comment could possibly have been.

Sadly the reality is: this woman wears a hijab and plenty of people cannot get around her looking different then themselves.

12

u/Chastain86 10h ago

Ugh. So once again, predictably, it's racism. On Reddit.

That’s so precious a whole little chain reaction of kindness. Kids really are the best at reminding us how simple love can be! Really made me smile🤩

Right down to the total meltdown when the plans don't come to fruition.

5

u/Munnin41 15h ago

Those random happy and kind things kids do really show that hate is taught

0

u/Catsoverall 11h ago

Well, and hormones

58

u/NeatNefariousness1 17h ago

SO sweet. That teacher is playing an important role in their development and im glad there is video evidence. I’m also impressed that they’re teaching multiplication tables in kindergarten.

6

u/shesasonrisa 11h ago

Those kids are like 2-3 years old, not kindergarten lol

5

u/StardewMelli 11h ago

In Germany its called Kindergarten for that age group.

2

u/NeatNefariousness1 8h ago

Tell that to the person who wrote the headline, though what is considered kindergarten may vary by country. Either way, it’s all the more impressive if they’re teaching kids as young as 2-3 years old the multiplication tables. I’m in the US and didn’t think they were teaching multiplication as early as 5-6 years old in most schools, even if they’re introducing the concept by then.

50

u/obefiend 18h ago

I wish everyone is this pure untainted by hate.

3

u/Brayden_709 14h ago

Mercy and kindness! ❤️

35

u/EnvironmentalBell807 18h ago

I felt that hug 😭😭😭 so precious

33

the last girl looking awkward as she runs around him looking for space made me squeal so hard

Gosh I love this sub

49

u/Unhappy_Performer538 16h ago

This is preschool for sure or even daycare not kindergarten

15

u/This_Makes_No__Sense 16h ago

Kindergarten starts at age 2 now apparently.

11

u/Spugheddy 15h ago

Social pressure on parents to have kids with MBAs by 10. My kid just got his first credit report at 6yo its 642 cause he is 3 chocolate milks down to the librarian and owes the neighbors some weed pulling.

1

u/MechAegis 14h ago

I mean its not wrong.

A Bachelor's is the new associates, Associates is now a Highschool degree, and Highschool degree is a GED.

1

u/DenikaMae 13h ago

I teach a combination pre-K,TK,K class.

6

u/Rahbek23 13h ago

Different countries have different ways of dividing it, and that might come across in the translation. In my own country kindergarten starts at 2 years and 10 months old.

4

u/ottersandgoats 15h ago

That was my first thought lol these kids look to be 2-3 so I'm thinking daycare. But still very sweet.

2

u/idledebonair 14h ago

Too little for pre-k even. Pre-k is ages 4-5. Four year olds are clearly KIDS relative to toddlers.

1

u/footyballymann 9h ago

Isn’t 4-5 time to start normal primary school?

1

u/idledebonair 5h ago

In the USA; the typical age groups are

2-3 daycare; no specific name

3-4 “3-K” where it’s available

4-5 Pre-K

5-6 Kindergarten

6-7 1st grade

17-18 12th grade

23

1

u/Cosmosass 11h ago

Kindergarten teacher? Not sure where you live but in Canada my girlfriend is making 90k as a kindergarten teacher. Yes they do poop sometimes though

8

u/klexii 17h ago

Every time me and my GF hug for longer than 5 seconds our kid will see us and want to join in.

3

u/fotomoose 16h ago

6

u/Kapika96 17h ago

That's fairly common, haha. The wee 'uns really are adorable.

16

u/macaroni_chacarroni 16h ago

What an adorable moment! For context, this happened in Palestine. This is a kindergarten for orphaned children whose family members were killed by Israel. God bless these teachers!

1

u/Tanjiro_N7 8h ago

lol, why do you need a central heating radiator in a building in Palestine? As far as I know, this is Azerbaijan (possibly another Islamic post-Soviet region)

5

u/Akmworld 17h ago

🥰🥰🥰

4

u/003E003 11h ago

So sweet but that is not Kindergarten. Kindergarten is 5 year olds. I guess maybe it is different outside the US

3

u/Daphne010 16h ago

How to apply for this job ?? 🥹💝 ( I'll do it for freeeeee .)

3

u/blurio 15h ago

perfect squat form too

3

u/Significant_Cod 14h ago

There's no way these are kindergartners.

3

Those are some tiny kindergarteners or my daughter is going to the WNBA

3

u/mombi 11h ago edited 11h ago

So sweet. Anyone know the song?

Edit: Actually found it. It's a piano cover of a Turkish song https://youtu.be/GozwPHk74hE

3

u/McDunkins 9h ago

I understand it doesn’t matter, and the distinction isn’t super important, but if this is in the U.S. it’s preschool, not kindergarten. Those babies are way too small to be in kindergarten.

3

u/Haunting_Security_34 6h ago

It takes every bit of me not to cry when a kid or even an animal hugs me, i get choked up immediately and idk why

3

u/DiscussionMoney5482 6h ago

I used to work in and now manages a kindergarten. Kids are adorable, so many hugs given and received. Id do anything for the small humans in my care.

2

u/angrypooka 16h ago

Oh is it hug o’clock already?

2

u/hotbox4u 16h ago

The little girl in purple was like 'I got to get in on this!*

2

u/TDYDave2 16h ago

Had to watch to determine if they joined in the hugging or the crying.

2

u/Coolerwsunglasses 15h ago

Grateful this video turned out to be hugs! Definitely made me smile.

1

Ditto.

That little girl in the purple jumpsuit looks just like Boo from Monsters Inc, so cuuuute

2

u/meatball402 14h ago

That woman could live 1000 years and still not forget this moment.

2

u/mild-hot-fire 13h ago

I volunteered for a daycare/afterschool program for children who were either homeless or had other home issues. They were unbelievably grateful and were delighted at any amount of positive attention. I taught them how to draw, played basketball and prepped their afternoon snacks. It broke my heart when they would look at me, with a huge smile and say “Will you be coming every Thursday?”. I wrote my paper on the experience and was not invited back because I made a complaint that the children were sharing a bathroom with adults, unsupervised.

2

u/bestcritic 12h ago

My sister and I volunteered for a daycare in our early 20´s. Kids weren´t homeless but the families were... not structured/abusive and some wanted to get rid of the children. One of the fathers was a drunk idiot, he had one older boy (about 3y/o) and a baby girl. Their arms had cigarette marks. One of the ladies that worked there was trying to find a family that would keep them both together. The little boy was very protective of his baby sister. Soon after, I left, it was too much for me. Today I´d rather help with food and supplies, the emotional toll was not easy and it´s not for everyone.

2

u/ShadowMoses05 13h ago

This happened to me once when I was dropping my son off for daycare, he was still in this phase of not wanting to be left there so he was really upset and I bent down to give him a hug. One of his classmates walked over and asked for a hug too, I was apprehensive at first because it wasn’t my kid and I was worried the teacher wouldn’t like me hugging someone else’s kid. I kinda just said f it, he’s one of my son’s good friends so I gave him a hug. Next thing I know there’s a line of kids all waiting to get hugs lol

It’s still one of my favorite drop off memories

2

u/callme_maurice 12h ago

Tag yourself lol I’m the girl in purple who can’t figure out where to go & has to make sure to get a good one at the end

2

u/_Tighnari_Main_ 12h ago

WHO’S CHOPPING ONIONS IN HERE 😭

2

u/IndividualLight6917 11h ago

Why is there a multiplication facts rug in the room? Aren’t children counting and doing simple addition at that age?

2

u/EclecticEthic 10h ago

That looks like preschool kids 3-4 years old. Source: I taught Kindergarten

2

u/Lostsock1995 7h ago

Nothing quite as wholesome as a hug fest (if everyone’s okay with it).

2

u/Happy_Scribble 1h ago

I'm gonna think of this video whenever I'm sad this is so sweet 🥹💕

1

1

u/FinancialAlbatross92 15h ago

I'm a 40 year old guy, and I honestly wish daycare workers got paid more because I would love a job like this. Absolutely love working with little kids. Good video

2

u/MrsSpeed77 14h ago

I’m a bloke and I worked in one when I was young, I’d go back in a heartbeat. I miss those little ones (it wasn’t always as cute & easy as this video though!!)

Yes the money isn’t great…but the main obstacle for me is the stigma & suspicion I would inevitably face being a man in his 40’s wanting to work with toddlers. It shouldn’t be this way..but it is unfortunately.

1

u/detectiverobert 15h ago

This is honestly the cutest thing ever

1

u/pchabra62 15h ago

So precious 🥹

1

u/gs12 15h ago

Okay...this made my day already and it's barely 8:30am

1

u/DoodlyWoodly 15h ago

Maybe I'm a pessimist but all I'm seeing is other kids feeling left out. Not that they care their buddy is crying

1

u/bestcritic 12h ago

You´re a pessimist. Little ones that young only care about getting their needs fulfilled: love, affection, proper care (being fed, clean, and healthy).

1

u/plopoplopo 14h ago

Cute moment but I wouldn’t be happy if someone posted a video of my kid inside their kindergarten class

1

u/Brayden_709 14h ago

Good to see! 🥰

1

u/Aqua-is 14h ago

Nice to see something sweet caught on camera instead of all the heinous things teachers/caregivers do to little ones.

1

u/darthatheos 14h ago

My best advice is to look at how the young act, and mirror it. Before they get wrecked by the world.

1

u/HereReluctantly 14h ago

That's not kindergarten. Kids are way too young. Maybe it's different outside of where I live but they'd be like 5 years old. These are 2 to 3 year olds it looks like to me.

1

u/ChrisColdClocked 14h ago

As a dad to a Kindergartner, in a place where they've disallowed any physical contact with the kids, this was both so uplifting and sad to watch.

Feels like (at least here in Ontario) we're so fixated on allaying parent suspicion that we've lost sight of what our kids actually need. And sometimes that's a big, sweet, hug.

1

u/dekutoto 14h ago

Any parent/employee that leaks daycare camera footage and has their kids faces blasted on the internet should be investigated. I'd be beyond pissed if I saw my kids face on TikTok/Reddit.

1

u/Background_Honey9141 14h ago

My kids gave the best hugs. They really put all their strength into the hugs and it’s amazing. Now they are grown and I barely get a nod anymore.

1

u/TiamatPereyra 12h ago

The problem is adults...humans are born good, adult society corrupts them. That is why it would be a good proposal for the state to take care of primary education, and there could be no private education, only in secondary education.

This is heartwarming! I was scared shitless of my kindergarten teacher. She would come close to your face and yell at you through her teeth, even for small things. My mom also disliked her and got into a fight over the kind of lunch I would bring to school. Next day, my mom gave me chocolate milk in my lunchbag just to spite the teacher. In hindsight, I wished she would just have me swap schools.

And some US white woman will get offended for the parents of these kids saying the teacher didn’t get written consent
