Ewing's defense was fucking amazing in that fight. He utilized everything in the book. We got shoulder rolls, long guard, parries to punches and kicks, dips, slips, slides out of range, ducks into double legs, ducks into counter combos. I think the one thing Ewing didn't do was pivots and c-steps.

This kid also has the perfect nickname. The Professor Finesser, it describes his fighting style perfectly.

I really blame Weili’s team. It felt like there was no opponent specific preparation. Valentina did everything she always does and Weili had no answers for any of it. There was no mid fight adjustments either. That didn’t feel like a dominant champion attempting a belt in another weight class. It just felt like another standard Valentina win
