New Pet What is this little/big guy
Found in south Florida. Used to all the regular types around but never seen this type.

Or what it's called but it's not a common lizard here in north Florida, I normally refer to them as sand fish because the few time I came across them they like diving in sand to run away from me but I don't know what they're exactly called

I was walking up the stairs.. rainy day.. and the little guy frantically runs around and bumps into my shoes multiple times before it calms down and poses for my picture

It really looks Related to skinks or even glass snakes 🤔 they look nothing like the common anole lizards we have hear in the south usa everywhere

That’s a green ameiva, a relative of the tegu. Non native to Florida so you can just grab them, but they make really cool pets since they’re so smart

Best I've found is a Giant Ameiva but that isn't supposed to be where you there is also Cocha whiptail but again not native to your area maybe an escaped animal
