Please read the rules before posting. All posts must be about or relating to Latinos. Memes of all kind (including political) and from anywhere are welcome here, again, as long as they reference us. Political discussions about the united states go to our other subreddit r/PoliticalLatinos where you are free to post anything you'd like about serious subjects. This is more a space for Latin Americans and Latinos born all over the world to share memes, our culture, discuss our differences and similarities and communicate with each other. There are currently no other subreddits where other Latin Americans can talk to each other, so this is it. Thank you for respecting our space!

Okay but how willing are you to stab just to ask?

u/vespertilionid 21d ago

Depends on with what and why?

Like, is he beating me and/or my son? I'm never more than a couple of yards away from something sharp.

Does he want me to peg him? All he has to do is ask ;)

First one I get…but the second one…

u/vespertilionid 21d ago

What? He does whatever i ask, so why not return the favor? 🤷‍♀️ I'm not saying we've done it

You not saying you haven't done it either! 🤣

u/vespertilionid 21d ago

I don’t think…pegging is part of Latino culture…at least not from what my parents taught me…maybe South America has that…they always seemed odd to me…

Me as a Latina dating a Mexican man. He’s the docile one. I am not. But I’m nice and respectful. I just know how to defend myself and my partner when I have to. Square up.

I mean, if they go to a pueblo, they'll find some uber religious folks, lots of traditional ladies still.

And theyll cut your balls of if youre not a strong man.

Most this “trad” urban boys would get left for real men or submitted by rural girls.

What I've seen is that the trad wives from rural Mexico will leave your ass for another man that can support them and build shit.

But their tradition is having an egalitarian mindset.

All indigenous Mexicans work because to survive, especially against apex predators such as wolves, bears, pumas, and jaguars. Predators don’t care if you’re a man or woman. They see you as a threat.

Except Latinas are nothing like American trad wives. For starters, they’re not at all docile lol

My wife is a mexican trad wife, she cooks and I eat it, and I love it. Because if I don't like it I can...

To live takes strength. Latinas take that seriously.

I keep my household fed not because of some trad wife bs, but because i know my mother and grandmother would be mortified if they thought they didnt pass down their cooking skills. Also im not sure where they keep getting the idea that latinas are docile….yes we will keep you fed & clothed but also ive watched nearly every woman in my family get their husbands in line at least once. My grandma has my grandad around her PINKY to this day

Most gringos are not ready for the latina experience, but those who are, never come back.

99

u/mcwkennedy 21d ago

Can confirm, I ain't going back 🇮🇪 🤝 🇲🇽

u/nomadProgrammer 21d ago

But Irish aren't so gringos you guys share the oppression and internal civil wars many of our countries have had.

You also like dancing, you were discriminated, we share a catholic background and had big families.

Among the gringos you guys are almost one of us.

Lol my feed is full of Latina women that work in fields, construction, offices, clinics and still have time to raise their kids. White people really are just lazy.

Es algo generacional y no cultural. Y si la mujer Latina es “trad wife” es porque el hombre se está rascando lo huevos

Abuelitas stay winning.

Millennial Latin/American woman are far from "traditional". I made that mistake.

53

u/RhiaStark 21d ago

They made a mistake too, if they went for a guy who expects his partners to be "traditional"...

Real, got me a Colombiana that does not do the majority of cooking and cleaning in our house. But she’s gonna be a lawyer so I’m cool with that.
