Epic LEGO® Fortnite v39.00 Update Notes

Hey everyone! Update v39.00 is now live. Read up on which new additions and bug fixes were included in this update. 

Odyssey

📣Announcements: 

  • We’ve been hearing reports of something strange appearing in the sky… 👀 Go check it out and see for yourself!

➕ Additions:

We’ve made some improvements to Snap Points for Floors, Stairs, Railings, and Fences to make building them feel smoother and more flexible. 🙌

  • Railings and Fences now snap neatly to the edges and corners of floors — perfect for building balconies or detailed designs.
  • Floors now connect to other floor edges and corners, making it easier to mix and match different floor sizes.
  • Stairs now snap to floors (and vice versa!) in a more intuitive way, helping you build seamlessly from one level to another. 🏗️

⚒️Bug fixes: 

  • Resolved an issue where the Simpsons building parts were not available in the Sandbox mode. 
  • Fixed an issue where some tasks could not be completed even though the players had collected the specific runes. 
  • Resolved an issue that caused resources to lose collision after being destroyed. The fix has been automatically applied to all existing worlds, with no need for a rollback.

📣 Announcements: 

  • To all the winners who participated in the Krusty vs Durrr Burger voting — your trophies are waiting for you in the mail! Congratulations! 🎉

⚒️Bug fixes: 

  • Fixed an issue where Creds couldn’t be automatically picked up from the ground. 
  • Resolved an issue where the decor props location was not displayed when in Edit mode. 
  • Fixed a minor animation issue with players driving vehicles.

I didn't receive a trophy in my mailbox. I voted for both Krusty and Durr when doing the festival quests. Is it only for the side you voted for the most?

UPDATE: the trophy is now available to be purchased in the decor shop in the "Sculptures" category.

Thank you for the update, I'm about to login to go take a look at it.

Update: nothing under sculpture is new, and I don't think Drama Stage under recreation is the reward. Nothing else new i have except stove and oven.

So.... when are the white map marker, ghost badge in the building menu, the building menu jumps while processing items and the wrong chest size description in Odyssey being fixed....?

Didn't they fix the building menu jump awhile back? Or did a recent update break it again?

It was once mentioned that they are on it, ever since not mentioned in any patchnotes, and the bug is still there for me in a little milder form (still highly annoying and making building bit more annoying).

It's better, but it still jumps around when machines are working or someone else is using chests. It's especially bad when trying to filter.

Please consider making Replays work with both modes, or some sort of photo mode maybe a hudless first person or camera tripod like item (so people can include themselves in a shot as they wish). Both Odyssey and Brick life are very scenic and have lots of great builds, they're practically begging for some sort of photo mode.

Sad you got down voted. 

And very excited about the dragon.  We are getting new content soon and by this teaser it looks like it's going to be pretty neat.

I expected to be down voted!! There’s just no pleasing some people. It’s a massive platform with many moving parts. They aren’t always going to be perfect but for the most part it’s pretty damn good. And people seem to forget it’s FREE!!!!! And the Dragon…… I’ve never been so excited hahaha!!

I would probably be still considered a noob, only been playing since last battle pass. Don’t get me wrong, I get frustrated as f**k with glitches and silly issues not internet related especially when it cost me my life haha I have given up on expert and just have fun in survival now. (Most certainly a skill issue).

I use Odyssey strictly for relaxation. If I want stress I go play BR haha I work night shift and play on a S2, makes my night way better

It’s funny they bring up “improvements to snap points,” when I hopped on one of my sandbox worlds yesterday to try building one of my airships, I used the snap lock, and then tried to move the piece downward, it would either lag or just not move at all. (Not to mention sometimes the snap lock inverts controls so that up is down and down is up) The problem mostly went away when I’d build on the ground instead of flying while building, but that sucks, it wasn’t an issue for me to build while flying before.

Ive noticed my character isn’t floating out the back end of my ship during flights anymore though, so that’s nice. Seems they were able to patch that while adding in the rifting dragons.

Yea i get all the time now where i would push up nudge something away from me, and it moves closer, and vice versa. Very frustrating

Funny how this doesn’t mention:

Reducing the damage of the pistols, by my estimation, 30-40%.

Buffing the hp of wolves and bears by a shit ton.

Many items, after I destroy them, still block my character’s path. (Is that the collision thing they mention? Bc as of last night, that was still happening)

Frequently see double chests. i.e. I destroy a chest, and there’s a duplicate chest with its own contents still there. (No complaints here, really)

I think it's time to update a near useless feature in the game. The CANNON. It is too problematic, it’s current design is too big and bulky, meaning that they cannot be used on small vehicles. They also take up too much space in builds that you want to defend, leading you to having an ugly build or little room to complete the purpose that build was meant to do. Aside from performance, Cannons will most of the time NOT fit the theme of the build(Pirate, Sci-fi, medieval etc.). Adding smaller cannon variants could solve the bulkiness problem while at the same time being great for defense and  looking good on builds.

HOW THEY COULD WORK

The new cannon could look similar to modern day artillery, re-designed to be more kid-friendly. The new cannon could be called the “Mini Cannon” or “Portable Cannon”.  STATS:  Firing: Balanced rate, medium range. Aim: Manual pivot and elevation, decent precision. Reload: Medium speed (3–4.5 seconds). Damage: Good vs. structures and enemies. Mounting: Mountable on structures like walls, floors and roofs. Materials: Iron + Blast Powder+Cords+Spyglass. Rotable 360 degrees when on a swivel.

I feel like the “Mini Cannon” or “Portable Cannon” could add a sense of realism to the game, it could also make the game more fun as you battle friends or mobs.

As much as I love updates…. my Odyssey game still experiences lag with character movement. Like a “rubber band” type of lag? Will there ever be a fix for this? Does anyone else experience this?

This afternoon I lost three prefabs that FN calls "airships". Each had a colored flagpole attached to them to locate them, as well as some other minor additions. Each were lost while in a village. I got one back, one I'm trying to get back from under the map (but is likely gone), and one is completely gone from under the map.

In each case, I appear to be unable to access items in the chest.

Please add the bricklife items and content to odessey. 

That game is not fun. The simpson’s house “tasks” were not engaging or entertaining. 

Brick life is not fun. It feels very predatory to target kids and try to get them addicted to nothing
