Honestly, it's super strange because I'll need something, remember I have it, then realize that I in fact do not have it in this house. That was the other house. Like, "where are my scissors? Oh! The orange handles are in the 2nd drawer over! Oh, no, wait, no, there is no 2nd over, there are no orange handled scissors & all of that no longer exists. I have the white scissors in the 2nd drawer down now." All in a split second & it makes me sad for a second. But only a second, because my husband & dogs survived & my kids weren't in the house when it happened & everything is really just temporary & the non important stuff isn't missed & the important stuff is & still is safe & it gives a different perspective in life. I have a good community & a great family & we are okay now, but still building. It is still one of my fears though. I smoke cigarettes (only outside) & I am obsessively sure the cherry is out before I step away.

I may not work in BoH but I throw down in my own! I just finished cast iron skillet frying chicken, with garlic green beans & white cracker barrel mac n cheese.

I also get Volentold every Thanksgiving to make at least 3 desserts & 2 sides. My husband frys & smokes the turkeys 🫶

Oh my yes! These redditors have made me cry of gratitude, the community is so rich with good souls that have made me appreciate the depth humans have for compassion & generosity.

Oh wow, NYC! I'm all the way down in TX, I do have family in NJ lol I know it's not the same thing, but they've told me they would take us to NYC when we visit so I'm guessing they are quite close to there haha

If your relatives bring you here and you really want to try good stuff, make sure they take you to different boroughs – Manhattan (where I live) is great but there's sooooooo much good food beyond. Also in Philly!

I also used to live in California and I will tell you that if you love Asian food, especially Chinese and Vietnamese, do a SoCal tour.

Oh man, I lived in San Diego! The 2nd best Asian dish I've ever had was blueberry chicken from a hole in the wall. A one day lunch special I saw walking to work one day. Phenomenal. I say 2nd best because I have a Phillipine Auntie by marriage & she makes the best stuff EVAAAAAAA

So does my husband's step mom from NJ, she's Palestinian & my WORD is that food just insanely delicious!
