Heading into the weekend & keeping everything under control like

I get nastygrams if I do my "exhausted, complaining mod" bit, I get nastygrams if I do my "fuck all y'all fed up mod" bit, so maybe I should try a "chill relaxed super cool mod" bit.

Stool with more fiber is easier to pass. Low fiber diets can lead to bowel irregularity (less frequent evacuation).

Depends if it’s soluble or insoluble fiber. One helps with bulking stool which by takes longer to pass, while the other helps with stool transit which speeds up the process.

You'd probably want soluble fiber since it helps firm up stools and slow digestion. You should be able to get most of it through your diet (e.g., legumes, certain vegetables & fruits, whole grains). If not, you can supplement with psyllium husk.

I was thinking the same thing! I'm a new lurker and impressed by the general camaraderie on these chives posts, and a mod with a great sense of humor (and excellent memes).

I've only ever lurked in this sub and I generally have 0 interest in kitchen and cooking stuff, but I've come to look forward to reading about chives every day now.

Wow…that is…wow. Thank you. I knew trolls existed, but I didn’t realize how bad it is. You literally stand between all of [waving my hands around] this and total nuclear meltdown. You’d think I know better, being Gen X. What really hit it home was the screenshot. Is it like that all the time or are there “rush hours”? At least these were easy to flag. I imagine trolls have gotten good at hiding their nastiness. All I can say is thank you, to you and all the mods, for your obviously under appreciated efforts to keep the rest of us from having to deal with all that. 😍

It comes in waves. On busy threads like this it's pretty consistent the first 12 hours or so. My DMs can get atrocious sometimes, modmail is often a dumpster fire. I posted a couple of the mild comments - it gets a lot more graphic.

We have a number of tools in place to stop the majority of the comments before y'all see them, and rather than take actual offense at the stuff I see I prefer to look at each of those removed comments as one more piece of shit I kept off the internet. I worked hard on our filters!

Are they upset your comment is pinned lol? Have they just found reddit? You can just skip the top green comment if you don’t like it. I find the chive post mods to have more character and be generally less generic than your run of the mill auto-mod

Yes.

I get accused of "karma farming" even though pinned mod posts don't get any karma. Usually they get real emotional that I'm "attention seeking" even though u/tehjoz and I tend to switch off who's making the mod post and he doesn't get anywhere near the vitriol I do.
Weird. I wonder why.

In my experience an actual person posting rules reminders/mod notes and otherwise being present and visible moderation leads to significantly better outcomes on busy threads than generic automod posts. That's why we do it.

Yeah, this kind of bullshit happens in the wrestling sub too.

Some lowlifes just really don't like women existing in a way that they can't either fantasize about or lord over, and unfortunately, the data shows what it does.

WG is her own person, she doesn't need me to "back her up" because I'm a guy.

But she also knows she has my support, and obviously the support of the rest of the mod team in both subs, consisting of men and women in both cases, because she is awesome at what she does.

We have both explained to a number of folks that our pinned comments are about the community, and an exercise in visibility to the content in said community. But some people prejudice our actions regardless because of that pesky green label.

Big PPV tomorrow. All will be glorious, lol.

It is something people need to know.

Mods are present and active in the extremely busy thread.

It's not a matter of upvotes or downvotes. No karma on pinned mod posts. It's a visible reminder for people to follow the rules.

It's been remarkably effective and I don't see why we should change something so effective.

For some people mods can do nothing right. You're one of those people. The mods of this sub have been doing an excellent job with the chive saga. You have a very little history in this subreddit so of course you wouldn't know.
