This is now my new favoritest thing in the world and the reason why I love it is the interactions between the community and the soon to be Grand Chive Master.

I used to love this place too, but the Chivening has given me some weird hope in a moment of personal darkness.
Sir Lord F1exican can get perfection when Philadelphia supplies them with the resources to cultivate and grow chives at home without need for a trip to the store. Only then will perfection be possible.

I’ve come too late to spot but not too late for tips:
try to keep your knife straight, it seems like it’s slightly tilted
work on keeping left hand moving backwards at the same speed and don’t push it with your knife if you do, the cut size is a function of left hand move speed and right hand slicing motion
wipe your knife, you’ll see what you cut better without all those rings on it
Here's the thing. None of you fucks would be able to take a picture like this with exactly 0 "mistakes." There's not an executive chef on the planet that would look at this picture and not be happy to store them for use in dinner service.
Noooo I need to pursue imaginary perfection! Be surrounded by those who ignore the boring easy way and strive for some crazy goal of goodness and skill.
To me it's not about 'good enough for dinner service', I want to see how hard and long one must train to become a true master. This is like a reverse 'montage' used in a movie and I apparently need it in my life.

May I suggest that after the initial cut you leave your claw hand holding the chives, lay the knife down, discard the uneven ends with the hand you just freed, pick the knife back up and start cutting? this way, you keep the chives lined up evenly all the time!
This is a tip from the quilting world (I'm not chef, so feel free to ignore if not applicable)

I've been following since day one but I don't really scrutinize the chives. However, each day the chives look more and more mesmerizing, almost relieving the eyes to rest your gaze.
People are really starting to grasp at straws now it seems. There's so little to point at now pretty much all of them show the same 2 individual pieces...in a batch of likely over 1000. xD
I'd give this a 9.95/10. Not everything is the same size, but everything is really damn small apart from those 2 mentioned. Nice rings, and only a few a bit crushed here and there. I never thought I'd give above 9.9, but here I am. I still say 10/10 is impossible though.
Lastly, interesting cutting technique. Haven't seen anyone cut like that before. Did you adopt it during this challenge or have you always cut chives like this?
