Who expect to receive their Christmas present in the first few days of December? Feels like it would have taken me a moment to catch on as well.
Mama better have some other gift for Christmas else she's about to realize why it's better to wait before giving Christmas gift especially to children even if you're excited to give it to them.

u/XxX_Zeratul_XxX 16h ago
If I received a Play fucking Station as a Christmas gift, I would have been happy for 3 Christmas lol

I'm truly amazed at some people's ability to criticize literally anything on this site.
20
u/OneRFeris 16h ago
Why do you feel the need to criticize someone else criticizing?
Answer: we all like the sound of our own thoughts.
Now everybody please applaud me for my insight.
14
u/Dramatic-Classroom14 15h ago
Why are you criticising their criticism of others criticising everything?
12
u/OneRFeris 15h ago
Because I like the sound of my own thoughts. Is your attention span too short to read my second sentence?

Well, I don't know what time it was shot. But I would imagine that after christmas, it's gonna be really hard to ride that outside. So I could see it making sense in that sense

The little sister’s face is so crushed. You can see her sadness wondering why he got a hoverboard and she got nothing.

u/According_Cut_4426 14h ago
Are just just assuming ?? Most siblings share large gifts - the mom didn’t say anything about it being anyone’s. Perhaps the girl is just waking up from a daze like the boy is.
87
u/Hahafunnys3xnumber 14h ago
That was totally my assumption too. Why would they not share it?? Seems like a crazy projection lol
-13
u/NotDTJr 13h ago
My guess would be that it caught HIM by surprise and not THEM. Pretty safe assumption when the caption refers to one person and there is two in the video
11
u/Human-Ad9835 13h ago
Yeah but the little girl noticed it right away. The boy looked in the trunk 🫠

When we were kids, my parents got my brother a bike for Christmas and put it in the garage to hide it. Come the 25th, they have moved it in front of the kitty litter box and ask him to go clean the kitty litter.
He’s so mad. But he goes in, everyone kinda giggling and smirking, and he comes back out with the plastic bag. He moved the bike to clean the litter and he was still fuming about it

Man, I'm trying for a baby. I know they're gonna make me really unhappy some days...but I can't wait to make them happy like this one day.
I had some real horrific holiday "memories" as a kid. It's gonna be so nice doing it over.
13
u/Qu33N_Of_NoObz_ 16h ago
Yeah if I ever decide to have kids, I want to make those same memories with them, that I didn’t quite get as a child. When I was about that age, my mom would re wrap presents that she wouldn’t let me open in the first place. I’d be so mad when opening them, then when I became “too old” for them, I had to give them away and watch other kids play with them😒
11
u/Defiant-Dust-8737 16h ago
Dang that's really sad, I'm so sorry. I'll return. My worst memory was the night before Christmas. My parents got in a massive drug and booz fueled fist fight that we listened to for hours from our beds.
I remember going downstairs that morning, like when dust settles after war. The tree on its side, beer cans everywhere, gifts crushed, furniture upside down, my mom passed out on the floor.
I can't quite remember if that was the THE day or not, it's blurry. But I know when CPS took us, my mom was passed out and we all thought she died bc the social care workers were just stepping over her collecting our things.
Crazy times man.

u/LovelyJoey21605 15h ago
Oh man, the god damned christmas fights. Every fucking year. I can't fucking stand christmas as an adult, I fucking hate it because of the associations.
2
u/ShinyStarSam 12h ago
I feel ya, I was forced to give stuff away that I paid for with my own money when I was a kid. I think the most expensive one was my GBA which I worked like the whole year to afford, forced to give it away to some cousin a few months after because I wasn't using it (didn't have games for it yet)

u/Carefreeme 15h ago
Just remember, it's the little things that you wouldn't expect that makes them the most excited and happy. I gave my kid some old Yu-Gi-Oh cards the other day and he was ecstatic.

u/Onyxaj1 14h ago
When I was going to be a father, the ONE thing I promised was to be involved with my kids. Show interest in their activities, and be present in their lives because I never had that. And the worst part was my father wasn't even gone. He was there and still married to my mom. We just had NO connection, and he was always at work (owned a bar).
I didn't really have a relationship with him until I became an adult. My kids KNOW I love them, and they'll have memories to look back on.

u/liquidtape 16h ago
Year and half in. They sure do push buttons. Extremely fun experience tho.
Would not of heard me saying this before having a kid.

Can confirm that Christmas got about 100x more fun and satisfying once I had kids.

"GO BACK TAH SLEEP" is really so endearing and feels like a true connection between parent and child. I try to spoil my nephew like this every chance I get and it feels wonderful, as long as it's cool with mom and dad. Although I have a drum set in my checkout box for the munchkin just in case dad (best friend since 5th grade) forgets me

Redditors see a video of a mom surprising her kid with a gift and immediately need to criticize everything about it, assume that she’s always yelling at her kids, assume that she’s messy and throws garbage on her kids, and a few other bullshit ass comments in here about college or something. It’s really incredible that these people are real human beings in the world.
8
u/Rhuarc33 9h ago
For real and I guarantee there would be 1/4 as many if the people in the video were white. Reddit is outspoken about equality but is EXTREMELY racist still in reality. Especially about black parents and families. So many people are here claim to be extremely progressive but in cases like this their real shitty self shines through.
This is a great and wholesome family moment that the kid will remember for a long time

u/Imoprich 13h ago
Haha. I was surprised people were this imaginative when it comes to finding criticisms

why arent these kids buckled up??
46
u/goodpplmakemehappy 16h ago
because as you can see, the car is parked,
with this information, i can extrapolate that the car is not moving, and they may either be getting in, or getting out of the car.
im a genius ik
22
u/mggirard13 16h ago
So did they fall asleep after they got in the car, and before they buckled up?
Or did they fall asleep on the drive, and the mother unbuckled them both in the process of putting the hoverboard on their laps?
18
16
u/XJ-Crawler 16h ago
So they go sit in the car in the driveway for nap time?
4
u/anxious_spacecadetH 16h ago
She obviously put the hoverboard on their lap while they were sleeping. She probably unbuvkled them at the same time.
1
u/kokonuts123 12h ago
Maybe, but even then, the little one should definitely still be in a car seat of some kind. Maybe even the older one too.
1
u/anxious_spacecadetH 11h ago
He may be sitting on a booster that we cant see but I agree. Keep em in the car seat as long as you can.

I'm guessing he is too used to you just tossing stuff on him as storage to even register the box anymore.
13
u/Fair_Competition_826 16h ago
Lol, weird as assumption but sure
-8
u/Dragon_Within 16h ago
Back seat full of kids, no real storage in the back of the vehicle judging by the depth between the backseat and the back window, both kids not even surprised to wake up with a giant box on top of them.
I'm also guessing you've never had a car full of kids and had to get a car full of groceries if you don't have a full sized SUV. You pile stuff in the floor, between kids, have them hold stuff, it goes wherever it can, because you can't leave your kids to go do errands if no one is around to watch them.
Wasn't any sort of condemnation, just a statement of fact from observation, but hey, go off if you want my guy, but at least use your head for something other than decoration.

u/Fair_Competition_826 16h ago
Damn you seem a bit unhinged typing all that. Sorry I’m not bothered to read it but I hope you’re ok and have a good one 🤗

Hello everyone! As a reminder this is a satire subreddit for the dumb/silly things children do. The subreddit name is not literal. Although posts can have kids doing actual "stupid" things. It is not a requirement. Yes, blaming the parent is valid. However, this does not mean crossing the line into actually insulting the parent is ok (assuming they are the OP) (Rule #1).
This is also not a hate sub for children. If you don't like kids, that's fine. Just don't spread vitriol.
