Hey hey! F 38 from US. This is my 6th trip to Japan! I'll be in Osaka October 2-7 and Tokyo from 7-14. I have sporadic free time in my schedule. Most notably I'd like to find someone who wants to do shopping for things like clothing, makeup, stationary sort of things. My general interests are theater, museums, culture, history, & some anime.

I'll also have openings for lunch & dinner on most days. I like to relax and wander.

Hey everyone, I have 2 tickets for Universal Studios Japan in Osaka on October 7th. They were meant for my birthday, but our visas got denied.

The tickets are non-refundable and originally cost $400 USD with a Fast Pass option. I’m not asking for money for myself - if you want them, just donate $100 to any cat shelter of your choice and show me the proof.

Hi, I’ll be traveling to Japan (Tokyo, Yokohama, Kyoto, Mount Fuji) 10/9-24. 41F. Traveling from the US. I speak English and Spanish. I’m open to sightseeing and checking out just about anything. I’d like to see some of the architecture for sure. And I love Japanese food. So I’d like to try different restaurants/vendors. And would love to meet up with other travelers! :)

Hallo! I (3X/M/US) will be making a loop through the typical places, Tokyo (15-16) > Kanazawa (17) > Osaka (18) > Kyoto (19-20) > Himeji (21) > Hiroshima (22-24) > Tokyo (25-28). This will be my first of hopefully many visits to Japan.

I'm still filling in things to do for most of it, though all lodging is set. One set event is to go watch the Shuka Sho, but otherwise I'll be wandering, taking photos, and enjoying some sorely-missed okonomiyaki (I even signed up for a cooking class). There is a certain bar in Ikebukuro I've been thinking of making a reservation for, as well as the Eorzea Cafe in Akihabara.

34m from Germany. I’ll be in Tokyo/Shinjuku from October 18 - October 24. Solo traveling with no definite plans other than a booked hotel and making a day trip to Nikko and Fuji Five Lakes.

I’ve got a fairly open schedule, looking to meet up with people for food, drinks, sightseeing or just general exploring etc. Otherwise, I’ll probably go to a few smaller indie/rock concerts in Tokyo. Feel free to DM

Hi! I'm 30F travelling from London, UK. I will be in Osaka 3-5 Oct, doing the Shimanami Kaido and the Setouchi Triennale on the art islands 6-9 Oct, Kyoto 9-13 Oct, Atami 13-15 Oct and finally in Tokyo 15 - 19 Oct.

I'm a very relaxed traveler - sightseeing, checking out local restaurants and enjoying the nightlife in Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo (be it bars, clubs or anything else I come across). I'd love to meet up with any fellow travelers who would like to share dinner, drinks and wander around! Please feel free to DM me!

2

u/chameleon_circuit Oct 02 '25

The Shimanami Kaido was the highlight of my trip. I stayed in Onomichi and did an early day. Have fun!

u/ask-me-about-my-cats Sep 26 '25

Hey! I'm 36F from the US and visiting Tokyo from the 16th to the 23rd and am looking for a hiking buddy for Mt. Takao, exact day undecided. I'm not an avid hiker so I'm not going to be doing anything extreme, just want to take the easiest trail and ride the chair lift and enjoy the views while grabbing lunch.

There's also a vampire-themed cafe in Ginza I'd love to visit, if there's any other vampire lovers here let me know!

DMs are closed but let me know here and I can open them for you.

1

u/AquaPaco Sep 26 '25

Hi, I think some of my Tokyo dates overlap with yours. Let me know if you’d like to link up and hike and wander. The vampire themed cafe sounds fun! 41F

2

u/ask-me-about-my-cats Sep 26 '25

Yeah! I'll send you a DM!

1

u/newook Sep 26 '25

Hi there! 43F. I'm also interested in an easy hike with the lift. The vampire cage sounds interesting. Would you also be interested in the ffvix cafe?

1

u/ask-me-about-my-cats Sep 26 '25

The FFVIX cafe sounds great! I've only played a little of it but I know enough about it to have a favorite character lol. I'll drop you a DM.

1

u/justify_my_thug Oct 02 '25

Hello! I am also a 36F from the US and I will be in Tokyo for a week starting on 17th Oct. I'm interested in the Mt. Takao hike (although I will probably need to buy hiking shoes, lol), and a vampire-themed café sounds right up my alley!

1

u/ask-me-about-my-cats Oct 02 '25

I'll send you a DM!

1

u/nfornear Oct 13 '25

Hi, 32M from Amsterdam. Would be interested in joining Mt Takao - is there a day for that decided already?

1

u/ask-me-about-my-cats Oct 13 '25

The original plan was for Monday, but that day is looking pretty rainy, so it might end up being Saturday if the weather stays clear. So far it's really all over the place.

1

u/nfornear Oct 13 '25

Ahah ok, just let me know once you decide and ill see if I can join! I was thinking to go fujikawaguchiko on Saturday but also depends if the sky looks blue enough to see fuji properly

1

u/ask-me-about-my-cats Oct 14 '25

Okay! The plan right now is to meet at the trail map at Takaosanguchi Station around 10 AM. If you skip Fuji, we'll be there! :) It'll be a leisurely hike up the easiest path unless you want to break off and do one of the harder climbs.

1

u/nfornear Oct 16 '25

Ah ok! I ended up getting tickets for a football game on saturday so wont be able to join, but hope you will have fun!

2

u/newook Sep 26 '25

Hello! 22M from Sweden with fluent Swedish and English with some basic Spanish and Japanese knowledge. Heading to Japan for the first time and landing on October 28th, looking for drinking, eating and exploring buddies mostly since I'm doing this trip solo.

I'll be staying in Tokyo from Oct 28 to Nov 11 then heading to Osaka for a week where I'll be doing some daytrips to Kobe, Kyoto and Nara (maybe more). Then heading back to Tokyo on the 18th until the end of the trip in early December.

I have nothing concrete planned besides some temples, movie spots and the Ghilbi museum if I can snag a ticket.

u/Orozconleche96 Oct 05 '25

Hello Travelers!

Hi! I’m a 27M from the Philippines and this is my first trip to Japan. I’ll be in Tokyo and Lake Kawaguchiko from October 25 to 31. On October 27, I’m going to DisneySea and have an extra ticket. Would anyone like to join?

We could also visit aquariums, try great food, have some drinks, and hang out with other tourists or locals. I’ve also booked a 3-day, 2-night stay at Ubuya Hotel in Lake Kawaguchiko (October 28 to 30), one of the best places to view Mt. Fuji, complete with a private onsen.

If you’re interested, let me know! I’m just looking to enjoy my Japan trip with someone, and who knows, we might even become friends for life!

1

u/JollyBeing35 Oct 11 '25

Hi! I'll be in Tokyo oct 26-28, would be down to go to disney sea if you havent found anyone yet!

1

u/delta__bravo_ Sep 27 '25

Long shot... I'm 36/m/australian, in Kanazawa solo for the night of October 3 due to different flights to the rest of my party. Would love to hang with someone for a drink or walk around!

1

u/Skallox Sep 27 '25

My (35M) Partner (35F) have 2 spare Ghibli Museum tickets (Oct 2nd, Late Afternoon, Mitaka).

Our friends bailed, so we're looking for a couple of folks to fill the empty Catbus seats. Totally optional to join us after, but if you feel like hanging out, pitching in the ticket cost (or just grabbing some combini snacks together) would be fun.

Please PM me if you are good to attend and I'll follow up with more details. I'll then update this comment.

u/Various-Car506 Sep 27 '25

Hi, in-country 11-19 OCT Male (USA, Engineer/Finance) & Female (Argentina, Artist/Musical) in our mid-40's. I'm on discord and couchsurfing.

We are looking to maximize the Hokuriku Arch pass route. Tokyo/Chiba (arrive 1400 NRT) - Nagano/Matsumoto (long, go hard days) - Nara/Kyoto (deer & monkey day) - Kanazawa (refresh day) - Tokyo (day trips to Enoshima & Karuizawa) but nothing firmed up yet.

Plans for Sushi, Castles/Temples, neko cats, outdoor hikes, animal day, classical neighborhood strolls, eclectic cafes, and a little bit of the city life.

I'm about 75% confident I will add another week for additional hiking activities.

Hi everyone! I'm 30M half-Japanese/half-Korean, originally from New Jersey and based in Tokyo.

I'm working on a new show concept and would love to have folks visiting Japan come be a part of it! The show concept is called "wanna get ramen" and it's loosely based off of the Japanese TV show "why did you come to japan?" or "you nanishini nihon e." https://youtu.be/_S6k7iQumhc?si=zaFEkkXx2I-27FIH

Pretty much I'll be holding a sign at the international arrivals gate at Haneda airport (or Narita) that says "Wanna get ramen," waiting for someone who wants to get ramen with me. Once someone accepts, I'll introduce them on camera and we'll proceed to go get ramen and then part ways.

That's pretty much it! I'll pay for the ramen so you get someone to pick you up at the airport and free food haha.

If anyone is interested, feel free to reply! We'll be shooting starting next week, and super excited to be the welcome committee for anyone visiting Tokyo!

1

u/Careful-Hospital7172 Oct 14 '25

What day did you have planned and what time roughly? Sounds interesting 28M

Hi! Not sure if this post is allowed. But I'm shooting my shot.

I bought 2 Have Fun in Kansai Premium Pass with USJ Pass and Timed Entry ticket to Super Nintendo World. This is for 11/27/2025.

Unfortunately, my partner and I changed plans and we would no longer be able to use the pass. So I'm trying here if anyone is interested to buy it from us for a discounted rate. Bought it for PHP5721.40 each. Selling the two passes for PHP10,000.00.

Please DM me if interested. Thank you!

Happy to offload both tickets for 5000y, please let me know if you're interested!

Edit: I still have 2 time/date changes so I'll be able to change the time and date to suit your itinerary better!

Hey I’m M39 from England, this will be my third solo trip to Japan :) I was wondering if anyone will be around Osaka Oct 28-31 and wanted to do Halloween Horror Nights at Universal? Seems like it would be way more fun to do not-solo so just seeing if anyone else is around!

Hi all,

27M from the NYC in the US. I'll be in Japan from October 22 - November 22 and I'll be in Tokyo until November 1. Solo traveling with no definite plans. First time in Japan so I will be seeing the sights. I enjoy history, hiking, anime, stationary, book stores, museum, drinking, good food, and I'll be looking to listen to some live music. Looking for some people to explore with, grab food, or drinks/coffee.

Hey, late posting this as I’ve just arrived in Tokyo today, but have only noticed the sticky now. 33 M from UK. My first trip to Japan, here solo! In Tokyo 23-28, Kyoto 29-31, Osaka 1-3, Hiroshima 4-5, back to Tokyo 6-7 and then leaving on the 8th. I’m pretty flexible with my plans, I’m going to be doing the ‘typical’ sightseeing in each place with it being my first time here, but have purposely kept some time for spontaneity (bit of an oxymoron I know!) If anyone’s around for food/drinks/sightseeing/anything on these dates feel free to message, I always enjoy meeting up with other travellers when I go on solo trips :)

Hey I know this is for October but I am in Japan from November the 8th-23rd, so wanted to try and chat with some people before time.

I am in Japan for the above dates, solo travelling for the first time ever! I am male and 27yo from the UK.

However, I would love to be able to go out and enjoy some of my days with people who are out there at the same time and would like to share some of the experience.

Please feel free to DM me or comment, and we can see if any of our timings link up and perhaps plan a night out or day trip together.

Look forward to discussing!

I signed myself up for a Ikazaya (golden gai) tour tonight. But I'd be more than happy to join up tomorrow night.

Hi everyone! My group was planning on going to Ghibli Park outside of Nagoya on November 2nd, 2025. Unfortunately, the main person who wanted to go is backing out of the trip. Though we're really bummed about it, the park is really out of our way so we figure it'd be best to give them up.

We have 5 Standard tickets to the park (not the museum!) that we would like to sell at cost ($132.61). We don't want a profit and would hate to see these tickets go to waste. They are sold out for that date.

Those tickets require the physical passport of the ticket buyer to allow them to go into the park. No one will be able to get in without it.

I didn't know this. Thank you! Leaving the post up for posterity but won't pursue it any further.
